I have been struggling to find employment, to the point that im being evicted from my apartment. As a single, mom I have two girls. I'm fasting, praying, serving. Lord have mercy on me.

This is our family! The rug keeps getting pulled on us right as we start to get momentum. My husband is a worship pastor and has a shepherds heart who wants to raise up more worship leaders and mentor them. He’s been doing worship for over 20 years and it’s his passion and calling. As soon as we start building relationships and a worship culture the door closes and not in a kind way. We’ve dealt being blind sided by three different churches in about a 3 1/2 year time span - a layoff during Covid, a narcissist pastor who treated my husband horribly and this last church where the pastor literally hired his friend to do 3 jobs, one of which is my husbands job as the worship pastor. The words used were “transitioning us out”. We’ve also bought and sold a house and currently waiting on God for what’s next. It’s all been so discouraging. We sought God about each church before accepting a position. We know we’re being refined but also feel depleted like your analogy. Would love prayers for restoration and healing from the church hurt. We want to move forward but it feels like we keep starting over and over again! We want our pain turned into purpose. We don’t want to live in this constant disappointment.
Praying for your calling to come forth. Lord open their spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear you. I’m wondering if the Lord is calling you to start your own ministry. Like in Deauteronomy when the mother eagle pushes her baby out of the nest to learn to fly, and if he doesn’t make it she catches the baby on her back. The church and church building isn’t the only way. God is raising up house churches because they are more intimate. Easier to have close loving relationships. You may have people from different churches come to you to learn to worship. I believe right now that the Lord is wanting his church( the people) not a church building or denomination to really worship Him in Spirit and Truth. Some churches can’t do this because of the control and manipulation in there. God needs to be the leader, He wants to be the leader and people are stubborn and don’t let him have his way. The book of Acts is the model. I pray that you and your husband find the perfect will of God for your life and ministry, in Jesus name amen

Thank you taking time in replying! So encouraging. I feel like God has been speaking to my heart over the past year about inviting people that we have built community with over the past decade to gather in worship and reading of the word. Not necessarily to plant a church but a time to gather and encourage 1-2 a month. We are chewing on that now. I am wary for my husband to work for a church again, but yet that’s how he has been able to provide financially for our family. Definitely need provision and clarity soon!

I thought I had heard or seen Isaiah 42 yesterday, but didn't get to read it until you read it tonight. Thank you for bringing clarity and for prophesying over us. I await to be an Andy Dufresne from "Shawshank Redemption" when he rips his shirt, looks at the night sky while rain of blessings fall upon him in victory when he finally escaped from prison for a crime that he did not commit and justice was served to everyone. Your reference of Isaiah 42:22 reminded me of a powerful vision from the Lord I had in 2016, right when I heard the Lord say it's time to purge. I saw myself in the vision as a little lamb (complete with flapping ears) trotting right behind Jesus. I was so close to Him my face kept brushing against his leg. When He picked me up, He sat down, turned me over and playfully trickled my tummy like you would a little dog. The love I felt in the short instance was amazing. When suddenly I left Jesus embrace and was carried over the little dune He had been leaning up against. I was moving over a vast landscape that looked like a salt pan. The earth was dry, parched and burned black by the heat of the sun. I was moving fast but it took a while to see hills in the far distance. As I eventually got to the hills, I saw people hiding in cracks and holes in the ground and caves in the hills. These people had been through so much, they where hanging on to life by threads. The Lord showed me their insides. Their hearts were in tatters and dried out, their lungs resembled the scorched landscape. When suddenly a blanket of yellow liquid love came from the place where I was with Jesus, it covered the vast dead landscape, then folded into the caves, holes and cracks gently lifting these people out with His love. I then saw Him breath His new breath into their lungs, they became pink and moist like new. I then saw Him heal their broken hearts, they also became new and started beating again. He not only healed it but I could see fire in their veins. I saw these restored ones standing with Jesus and I felt, that these ones that have been through this dying process would rather die for Jesus than go back to that place that they had just come from.

Been through a wilderness season for over a decade now, the last couple of years have felt like this depletion you are speaking about, not just taking things out that are trying to be poured in but a denial of things from being poured in at all. I receive the word of being restored and refilled with all God has for me and my family and our future.

Wilderness and faith growth with the Lord as you depend more on Consistency with prayer and scripture over feelings is different from a wilderness of isolation, confusion, and wondering away. And not to quote an author outside the Bible but not all those who wander are lost. Sometimes God can have us on what seems to be a strange wondering path but it’s actually part of the growth process and The only thing that needs to be altered is our attitude about it. I understand easier said than done. 😩

I thought it was God all the time just stripping me but now I realize that the enemy has been depleting all my resources. Wow- the bucket is literally the word a Pastor gave me months ago! All my life people have put holes in my bucket. All is on the ground - nothing stays. Jesus is patching the holes and putting back what fell out, plus adding to it. That was his vision!

Confirmation. After 8 years of praying for my marriage to be restored, my husband finally contacted me 6 month ago. He left the adultery and things looked like restoration. Then it went bad and now he is blaming me. Doesn’t believe in the validity of our marriage. Used Gods word to justify. After all the warfare and disappointment, I have come to a point where my health is greatly affected. This is by far the worst place I have been. But I know God is going to come through 🙏🏼

Thank you so much brother Nate! Yes, I have had both. God has been emptying me and my family of the dysfunction, closing doors severing ties, purging me of of destructive mindsets and impurities, but at the same time the battle has been so great (yes felt like tornadoes many times), the enemy has been depleting me so I’m in constant need of restoration. Too often I have nothing left to invest in what He’s called me to so gaining momentum is nearly impossible. This week is a great example, Tuesday I was in a hurricane and could do nothing but fight that battle, then went back to the Lord to be restored. Yesterday I had my podcast episode all written out, got it recorded, but the minute I finished recording the software crashed and I lost everything. Praying protection over myself so I can get it done today and actually publish it. Help me close these holes Lord, show me where they are so I can stay filled and what you’ve called me to can move forward! 🙏🔥⚔️
