I do miss my bugs, had a 71 and 75 (yes a 75 bug, I was in Berlin at the time) The 71 went away after fire #2 and the 75 was totaled when I let a platoon mate borrow it.
Great video! Any chance of any video of the Beetle named Hyper Bug? I see it in grid around the 1:00 mark and in the background of some interviews. A buddy of mine owned that car for several years and raced it with SEVWA in NC. Good to see it still going.

VW Life fortunately we still have SEVWA that still has a season with races in VA, NC, SC, and GA. Back in 2010-11 their last events were some of the biggest on the East Coast. I haven’t been to one in the past 9 years so I’m not sure of the size of the events but they are still happening.
Wow, Back in the late seventies if me and my sister was to Drive past this raceway in the back of mom's car and look over and see all these VW bugs, We both would have bruises all over our arms and legs from playing punch buggy! Lol

@@ex35240sx yes that is the case it ends up in the cabin, keep in mind we are more geared to keeping a aircooled power plant, we leave those builds to others. the mighty car mods guys put a subi motor in a beetle
