People must start supporting teams from their township or city, this way the teams can gain a huge fan base and profit on stadium attendance and kit sales
Unfortunately we don't love soccer to that level,a country of over 60 mill yet teams in the top flight play in almost empty stadiums. Someone will make an excuse and say the quality of football has bn poor but you have teams like Sundowns,Stellies,Pirates who've bn playing some good football for Season's now but still struggle to fill up stadiums. We not a football loving nation, my option
@@teboholengwati3010 Yeah you're right south african don't support football and thats slowly killing our game. This is why the league sponsor keeps changing
Ramaphosa must fix the economy first!! You can spend a maximum of R200 to attend a game in your city. That means I'm left with R170 from my R370 social relief grant. We are poor and unemployed!!!
@@tebelelolekoana2586 We cant wait for a corrupt government to fix the country so that we can enjoy football. There alot of stadiums in the townships that this teams use and have very cheap tickets. South africans are the ones that are not passionate enough
It's not that south africa not love football but it's the clubs that are not marketing themselves well enough to encourage people in the city to attend their games.
Clubs need to come up with new ideas such prizes to be won during match days.
Almost all the teams in PSL are running on loss besides Chiefs & Pirates. Is not easy to run a team in a country that has approximately 60% youth unemployment rate.
Downs is also now profitable! Supersport and Cape Town City are close to break even
sundowns is currently the most profitable team in the psl do your research proparly
U talking about youth unemployment instead of these club attracts the working class in England even the pensioners glued to that football....
@@josephmathebula9908 Dont Lie How Much Sundowns Bleed On Transfers Every Season How Many Cups Have They Won To Make Profit Motsepe Money Luckly Save Them
So how much did Sundowns lose last season?
Nah bra I'm subscribing to this channel. There hopelessly few South African channels with such quality content.
Plus, you don't have intrusive sponsors yet, that want you to say nonsense we could care less about.
Thank you brother. Keep this up!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Will bring a PSL team to my hood, it's one of my ultimate life goals
I'm also on this lane 😊. All the best to you mate❤
Bro where you from?
Me 3 😂@@alltheseeknaturemoves
Location will be a problem. It's not easy to bring a PSL team to the hood because those stadiums are not PSL approved to host such games. Hence teams like Plokwane, Sekhukhune and others play their games in cities even though they are from Townships and Villages.
@@kgomotsomaila6083 Not necessarily the hood.. just my region of the country. 016💚🤍❤.. 18 hours emoyeni. A place and people that's just waiting for a club that can represent them at PSL level. Stadium will have to be upgraded though
South africa needs to implement the 50+1 system where fans can take part in descion making of the clubs activities by paying a membership fee every month alongside the shareholders.
This system will ensure that clubs with stong fan bases do not go extinct.
Also psl needs to reward clubs that are promoting new talent in their teams from rural areas of South Africa.
No wonder why TTM didn't last.
The "buying status" option and relegation system are a bit of a problem for the PSL. They cause instability and unreliability because teams are in and out of the league. Even companies that are willing to sponsor loose apatite. The franchising system used in rugby and all U.S. sporting codes sounds better.

Great video! Sad reality a lot of clubs face.. not a business I would look to get into if I was trying to make money. That’s for sure
I remember royal am when the owner was splashing money left & right 🤦♂️
great video. That's why its important to have an academy were u can reinvest into future sales n run shops n hospitality on your matchdays. The over all brand must also be atteactice enough to attract fan interest n overall interaction with be club. Our owners most wash dirty money n hence little care in studying international trends to grow clubs. Its hard but a beautiful n possible task.
What a well informed video.
Really gives you a perspective as to how well off Sundowns, Pirates and Chiefs are. When a team with a history like Wits suffers the consequences of not having enough money coming in, you can only imagine how difficult it is for mid-table teams and lower.
Develop young talent and sell them for profit you will makes it in the PSL.
Take example of development players Njabulo BlomSiyabonga Ngezana, khanyisa Mayo, etc
And if you are a big team like downs, you have to factor in caf games, and downs we fly private or chattered. Now makes sense why pirates threw the game at jwaneng, flights are expensive
stop lying, jwaneng beat pirates straight😂
So you think pirates Don't have money ..??😅
The biggest issue is PSL/SAFA executives taking a massive bulk of sponsorship money and not increasing grants for teams! The PSL also declines certain sponsorships for team! The other factor is that owners want to run teams like they are a household and not a business! You need people with knowledge to run your finances, marketing, recruiting and acquisition
Football is very profitable but unfortunately most of the team owners lately are coming to football for the wrong reasons which is why they fail dismally.
Could you do this exactly same thing for the ABC league?
Love the video great content keep it up ❤
That's why Chiefs fails to sign quality player's 😢
My guy... How are you. It's Obedience. Your roommate in first year at Tuks. Lungile, that guy ND I were in high school together. How are you my guy....
To be honest, the whole football structure really sucks.
Example: The Number of Teams in the League Structures, The Promotion & Relegation System -
1. League Structures - Each leauge should have 20 teams.
2. Promotion System - Should be Teams getting promoted to the playoffs, should rather have that 2 automatically qualify, and 4 more teams playoffs to promotion.
3. Relegation - 3 teams straight relegation to lower leagues, if only on a 20 team league structure.
( Currently in the 16 league system should 2 straight relegation, no fighting for survival in the PSL. )
This will bring in much more support to the games, as well more revenue to the games. Better opportunities for more players to be scouted for our National Teams.
ONLY MY THOUGHTS
This was a very educational video, well done Teddy keep pushing nja yam
We need to stop the status selling and also start using the German league formula where the Municipal residents own shares and equity in the teams. Also we know the economy is bad but the ticket prices should go up bcoz after the game we are still going to pay 200 at a club and spend on booze at inflated prices but cant support a majority black industry.
amazing video! i've always wondered myself how much it costs to buy and run a team..please provide sources🙏
WOW...I always look for clips like this. As a football fan and as someone who wishes to also stumble on that type of money one day and purchase a team. This vid was so informative and educational, now i know that I will have to bleed over 20 million a season to stay a flout. Basis covered now i must find the money.😅
Great content ✨🔥🔥
Thanks for the content. Pretty informative
Esh you just open my eyes man😁🇸🇿🇸🇿🇸🇿🇸🇿🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Awesome video with great info😅. I want to one day run a PSL team named Backpackers FC😂😂
You gave me a perceptive that I was not having in my mind
I like your energy. Subscribed!
These teams pay statuses every year? Yoh I'd also sell the club
I don't think so. Dude didn't separate initial costs and operating expenditure. That would paint a clearer picture. But he tried really, accounting thingies are not our cup of coffee.
Another thing to consider is that, Gauteng and KZN are crouded with PSL teams. Best provinces to move to is North West, Free State and Northern Cape.
Northern Cape is not such a good idea
@@bonolomodise5807 Please clarify your response.
I want to buy from a lower league division then get promoted
Underrated content. Keep working, you will soon get your recognition. Cheers from Portugal
We need fan owned football/ basketball/ tennis/ golf/ cricket/ rugby/ swimming/ gymnastics etc clubs...these sports/ hobby clubs need to raise or sell their shares to the public or through the public
Use AI to create cool backgrounds, you can even create a fake studio. That black background is a no no but content 👌🏽
Ok, thanks to this video. I cant afford a team. Maybe in my township ke ndingazama
Very intresting thanks
Rustenburg masses including NW FM presenters chose to support chiefs and pirates eventhough the the local team Platinum stars f.c were just a few points from winning the PSL trophy
Pst clubs need to be committed to their communities so that they pump in the money😊
Cool video bro
Some of these figures are not true they're actually below than what you are telling us, football is like any other industry you need to understand it for you to survive eg Golden Arrows fc has always been run according to their budget because they understand themselves, you also need to run your club professionally you must not hire and fire your players and your staff
Good One 🙏🙏
Let's support our township Teams
Please use more realistic numbers for these scenarios. Example why choose 250 mil where did you get that figure. By the way I subscribed
To be honest psl has no future if you are thinking of becoming a soccer player you will strughle
You don't know what your talking about
You do realize that PSL players are professionals?
😂We are back 🎉🎉
It has never being easy to run a team....from dusty streets of our kasi like they are called "Prezza"😅....they'll tell you hore they are doing it for the love of football....The thing is if you get into football to make profit then you're in the wrong business bro....Football is long time investment with proper structure you'll reap the rewards later like Chippa Mpangesi is doing now.
Do you know that Mark Fish was sold for R100m to Athletic Madrid from Pirates.
It's a lot of profit for the team imagine Fish is from Cosmos, Pirates, Atletico Madrid
How much Pirates, Chiefs and Sundwons are making in jerseys sales and getting from technical sponsorships
Those are the expenses but what about revenues. Nobody spends that much to make nothing in return let's be serious
With such big spending to run a premiership club, it makes sense why money launderers also prefer to own clubs. Just saying.
I don’t think magezi will survive 😅😅😅
W VIDEO
Does this mean that there will be less upcoming soccer players?🧐
I like this video
Thanks for
I don't like how you said wits became Tshakumantsha
Guess who's back 👌😁
The league is still small
How do the oweners ever make money 😢
So it's them not managing the teams right
R we playing fifa career mode now 😔😔
This is why closed leagues are the future. Relegation is too financially ruinous for sports teams. The Americans actually have it right.
Americans incentivise teams for losing. no
@@___day no they don't
@@shahidnyker2900 draft picks
That's not how soccer works... It's a sport of the people and not elitists
@@karabomafa5609 I don't see how your point is relevant. I'm referring to clubs being able to afford to exist. The whole point of the video is that clubs can't afford to run themselves sustainably. And I'm saying that the American system is the most sustainable.
Guys help me get funded to buy Bloemfontein Celtics😢
10:38 instead of putting up hour pictures put up a Question like ( You liked it, Why not subscribe ? OR Thank you for subscribing or You not going to Subscribe?)
Why don't you go Public?
your'e lying tho. the team with the bigger audience gets more money....there is no way they all get the same money.
No bro this is wrong Maths 45 M is not 50 M 🌚
you blink a lot 👀
