Thank you! Our room was part of the Excellence Club cause we got a complimentary upgrade. The drinks were good; just make sure to ask for the premium drinks sense it is an all inclusive resort. The food wasn’t bad at all. Probably a 7.5/10, but I rate food really hard.
I just returned from El Carmen a week ago. The resort is gorgeous 😍. The staff are super friendly 😊. I was very disappointed with the food and drinks. I was there 5 days.. I tried every restaurant there. A few restaurants were pretty good, but the drinks served on the beach, at the restaurants, at the pool; so so. I guess you can't have it all right? 😅
Lol yea can’t have it all for sure, but overall we completely enjoyed it. Definitely would go back. One thing that could help with the drink situation is if you bring your own tumbler and they’ll fill it with whatever you ask for for a future tip.
One of the locals who sale excursions was on the resort beach and bought it through him. The resort does offer their own, but would consider through a local cause you can get a better deal and still have a great time.
They have several excursions available within the hotel or if a local is on the beach. As far as jet skiing, not 100%, but would be surprised if you couldn’t.
