This concert was the first time I heard the song, 'One Way Dream.' I've always had a soft spot for Sonic Team's PR department, but I didn’t understand why until this particular moment. After two hours of spectacle, there is something that feels so united about finishing the event with a barely rehearsed acoustic cover of a song about staying optimistic on the road to glory, with everyone in the audience knowing the words, and the performers on stage messing up just as much as the audience members but not caring. If there is one thing Sonic has that Nintendo doesn't right now, it's humility.
I've come back to this video so many times... even tho I was there it still feels so surreal seeing so many people as passionate about sonic, thanks for posting!
For act 2, I like how they start off with Shadow music as an upcoming game and movie that features Shadow being the major spotlight that is releasing very soon 😀
I really did enjoy listening to a lot of the music that they performed from the old and recent video games and especially singing along a lot of my favorite song like the song, A Ghost’s Pumpkin Soup, Unknown from M.E, Endless Possibilities, all of the titans theme from Sonic Frontiers, One Way Dream, and especially Shadow music of, I Am… All Of Me and All Hail To Shadow and which I’m surprise that after I played Sonic X Shadow Generations, they added All Hail To Shadow music to the final boss fight. Overall, it was a fun show with a lot of music to watch and listen. 😁👍
I feel so lucky to have gotten to be here to see this, I got so emotional 😭 the sonic series means so much to me and has helped me through so many bad times in life so getting to be here for something like this was like a dream come true to witness
@Swapaneezy I know exactly how you feel and believe me when I say you weren't the only emotional one there! It felt like a dream come true for me, seeing the music of Sonic celebrated by so many fans all sharing their love for the franchise! Seeing songs like Live And Learn and Endless Possibilities etc performed live in front of us was something I've wanted all my life and I did get teary eyed at times seeing it. And of course, there's the fans as well. I've slowly been meeting new fans these past few years through events like Sonic Symphony and the Sonic cons and getting to know some amazing people! To me, this is my Sonic family that I've always wanted and I'm gonna want it to grow bigger and bigger through the new faces I meet and continue to meet up with in the future! Sonic means more to us than just a game or series. Sonic is a part of who we are today and I'm so very thankful for the franchise and Sega for introducing him to us all!
I was here!! Row M in stalls!! This truly was so incredible and I'm so so lucky to have been able to be there and meet so many sweet, amazing sonic fans, on top of enjoying the symphony itself!! During them singing One Way Dream, I started crying because it's the one song I always go back to when I feel really low and it was just such a bittersweet song to end the symphony on. Probably the best day of my life in all honesty, just everything about it was the best, from the crowd and how much passion just went into it all. A childhood dream come true. Thank you, truly, to everyone who made Sonic Symphony possible
@GracieMations That honestly was an amazing thing to read and it made me smile big time! 😊 I can completely relate to that, One Way Dream has that relation to me too, as well as songs like Endless Possibilities and Reach For The Stars giving me that boost whenever I'm feeling down or beating myself up over little things. Heck even the Frontiers rock songs being there to help me vent whenever I feel I need to let it all out! Sonic Symphony gave a little bit of everything to us all and I honestly don't think words will ever describe it completely. All I know is it's an unforgettable experience for us all and it makes me so proud to be a Sonic fan! I love my new Sonic family that I'm slowly getting to meet 😁

Me and and my brother attended this event we were in the circle! Honestly the atmosphere inside was so great everyone was singing along, cheering for Maria getting shot in all of me and just overall enjoying the music! What a night it was for all those who attended in London plus we even got to sing Sonic R songs which was also fun too! I don’t think I had a voice in the morning. Thank you for uploading this!

If it comes back to the UK again this year then you bet I'll be there again! I was able to see a few familiar faces at this one, including my buddies from Sonic Paradox! How was Act 2 balance, sound-wise? Hard to tell from the video. When I went last year, they seemed to crank the volume up so much for Act 2 that the whole place was vibrating and little kids were leaving in tears. I had to leave after a few songs myself. I'm going again soon and am hoping they've adjusted the balance. It's a shame to have new orchestral accompaniment and then the singers act like they have no choice but to drown out the instruments.
@thedoctordb5765 It all sounded well balanced as far as I was aware. I certainly didn't notice any issues so they possibly worked on that if that caused issues last time
It's wild how nobody was settled or quiet in the first part. We were in the circle and people were talking and getting up/sitting down through the whole first half of the show, somewhat ruining it. The instruments were soo quiet too, the louder volume in part 2 was appreciated. The way they handled the merch was lame too, one store, a giant directionless queue. By the time we got to the front everything was sold out.
There was a third queue for merch with barely anyone in the line so it was relatively easy to sneak over there and buy some merch, sorry you missed out. Definitely agree with your criticisms of act 1, people were just generally noisy and disruptive. I remember London 2023 the instruments were louder and people were not as rowdy. They could have definitely handled the merch situation and act 1 better.
@@Thomasm3000 there were three kiosks when I got there, I was there when the doors opened. There was on queue to the far right which was very quiet and two in the middle on either side.

They kept coming over to the smaller ones to take merch to the main one as they were running out, but the merch was done so much better this time. I was seated so I didnt notice anyone moving around, and I heard the orcastra fine. This was the best night of my life and I only just got my voice back from screaming every lyric for every song lmao

Yes, they have been changing the music list during this year. But set Shadow music as the start of act2 has never changed. It's really a good design.

I'm going again soon and am hoping they've adjusted the balance. It's a shame to have new orchestral accompaniment and then the singers act like they have no choice but to drown out the instruments.
@thedoctordb5765 It all sounded well balanced as far as I was aware. I certainly didn't notice any issues so they possibly worked on that if that caused issues last time

It's wild how nobody was settled or quiet in the first part. We were in the circle and people were talking and getting up/sitting down through the whole first half of the show, somewhat ruining it.
The instruments were soo quiet too, the louder volume in part 2 was appreciated.
The way they handled the merch was lame too, one store, a giant directionless queue. By the time we got to the front everything was sold out.
There was a third queue for merch with barely anyone in the line so it was relatively easy to sneak over there and buy some merch, sorry you missed out. Definitely agree with your criticisms of act 1, people were just generally noisy and disruptive. I remember London 2023 the instruments were louder and people were not as rowdy. They could have definitely handled the merch situation and act 1 better.
@@Karma_Kawaki Damn where was that? I only saw the one big kiosk for merch by the entrance and by the time we got there everything was sold out.
@@Thomasm3000 there were three kiosks when I got there, I was there when the doors opened. There was on queue to the far right which was very quiet and two in the middle on either side.
@@Thomasm3000 Yeah, there was a stall next to the big one and one opposite. They kept coming over to the smaller ones to take merch to the main one as they were running out, but the merch was done so much better this time. I was seated so I didnt notice anyone moving around, and I heard the orcastra fine. This was the best night of my life and I only just got my voice back from screaming every lyric for every song lmao
