I wonder how challenges like these, or even the game as a whole would change if there was a “commander” type role. Somebody who’s job is to look over the battle as a whole as can give out orders to people in response to changing conditions. The game is designed to be far more casual than this, but I think the possibilities could be interesting. Commander has access to artillery strikes and maybe AI attacker plane call ins. They can also issue attack/defend orders that players can follow for small SL/RP gains. In regards to this challenge, it just seemed like there was some coordination, but also a fair bit of individual action that lead to gaps in defense that turned into overwhelming flanks against the Americans. That’s just an observation from the video however, and it may be very different on any potential discord/team speak calls going on. I kinda figured the soviets would win, it just also felt like there were points where the American defense fell apart when it could have been salvaged. I am not sure I agree on urban and close range maps not being good for US tanks. If anything, a lot of these US tanks are very good at close range such as the jumbo and the Easy eight and the T26E5. These would dominate the soviets on close range. But everyone only went slow reload T-34's and super pershings, trying to beat the soviets at their own game. Which is big armour big gun. But the US' is super strong in the close range brawler category. Something the soviets are kind of bad at, due to their incredibly long reloads.

I feel like the superpershing is basically the American equivalent of the IS2 Edit: I don’t think these types of competitions are even true, first of all the amount of possibilities are nearly endless. Second it also depends on the players and environment for example Any hilly terrain Most likely American tanks as they have better gun depression and handling Ex2: flat terrain: most likely soviet as their guns hit harder and usually better in that area.
B1 ter was just a prototype, and trust me all German tanks besides Panzer I could knock out a B1 from it’s side armor. Most French tanks in 1940 are massively overrated besides the Somua S-35.
Oh, I see. Serial tanks of the USSR in 1943-1945 against American prototypes of 1946 and older years of production. What do T95, T34, T30 do in the video? And why, in this case, is there no IS-4, IS-6, IS-7? If you already called the video 1945 USA VS 1945 USSR, then in this case the USA can only have Super Pershing.
Though tank and crew casualties of USSR and US says the otherwise.I’d consider most Soviet WW2 tanks as nothing more than “decent enough to get the job done”.Though they had some pretty impressive designs post war.Until 1970s Soviet MBTs were generally superior to their NATO counterparts.
@@AFT_05GThe main reason why Soviet casualties were higher than American one was because unlike the Americans, who entered the war against Germany pretty late, the Soviets had to endure years of attritional fighting against many of the top units the Third Reich had to offer. The Americans entered the war when Germany had already been worn down significantly by the USSR and they subsequently had to deal with less. I actually do think some of the Soviet tanks were really good. Unlike many of the late-war German or allied heavy tanks, the IS-2 in actually did quite well. It was the same size a tiger 1, but with a larger gun, and higher top speed. It's pretty much one of the only very effective heavy tanks of the war. Additionally, in tank-on-tank combat, most people would agree that the Soviets would most likely win against the Americans when testing ww2 ground vehicles. This is mainly due to their involvement with the tank arms race that they had with Germany.
USA: T26E5, T30, A couple of big forehead event vecs idk the name I just call them forehead tanks. Some 76mm M4 Sherman's, M18s, M22, Calliope and M26. USSR: T44, T44 100, IS3, IS2 (multiple variants), T34. IMO, unfair matchups. 5 T44 100s and 2 IS3s could make easy work of that American team.
I think USA get dead barrel easier 'cause there front is too strong, so people try to play it as bully, barel, wheels or chenille... And then flank to kill easy
Why are you describing Germany for the American tanks? Also the Russian tanks had better armor overall throughout their tanks. Only certain ones were better, like the super Pershing or the doom turtle
Maus would 100% win, the 4005 has a very poor reload and it can't even kill the Maus very reliably. The maus can pen the 4005 with ease pretty much anywhere, and has a much faster reload. I think 20 fv4005s vs 10 maus would be better, the only way the Fv4005s would win is if they got a really long range map and just sat defending a ridgeline.

Edit: I don’t think these types of competitions are even true, first of all the amount of possibilities are nearly endless.
Second it also depends on the players and environment for example
Any hilly terrain
Most likely American tanks as they have better gun depression and handling
Ex2: flat terrain: most likely soviet as their guns hit harder and usually better in that area.
It also doesnt factor in production capabilities or russias horrid build quality and steel quality in WWII.
I wonder, i mean isnt it called UdSSR? Not ussr!
UdSSR its called i think
Thats russan Bias at its best
Average war thunder player when a russian tank kills another tank
T95???
Now im wait 9.0 - 11.3 USSR vs USA
America could have won if they were more organized
Do a France vs germany 1940 with historical ammo. Other than 88flakbus do german have anything that can defeat a b1 bis/ter?
B1 ter was just a prototype, and trust me all German tanks besides Panzer I could knock out a B1 from it’s side armor.
Most French tanks in 1940 are massively overrated besides the Somua S-35.
USA won the last round only because they were able to respawn endlessly
This is how war thunder should be
That was the thing about us in ww2. There were so many they could barely handle us and our moral! 🇺🇸🦅
T95 was like 43.
Actually, like the US, soviet tanks also were very balanced in terms of protection, power, and speed and were also very good all-round designs.
@@AFT_05G according to who the soviets
How do I join the fight?
Join my discord to receive the announcements on when we do our events
Operation uinthinkable ?
The Ussr team didnt play good on the last match
Of course the soviets we're gonna win on Stalingrad
Plot amour was on lol
А теперь включите советской команде мониторы и переиграйте

Can you do USSR vs Sweden to pretend a russian cold war invasion of sweden. T62 and t54 vs strv103 and bkan or smth like it
0:04 14:56 Tutel :D 🐢
Can anyone name the tanks on each team on the first round?
USA: T26E5, T30, A couple of big forehead event vecs idk the name I just call them forehead tanks. Some 76mm M4 Sherman's, M18s, M22, Calliope and M26.
USSR: T44, T44 100, IS3, IS2 (multiple variants), T34. IMO, unfair matchups. 5 T44 100s and 2 IS3s could make easy work of that American team.
@@ezj2820 Agreed. The IS-3s by themself would be a nightmare to take out
Is3 is not pre 1945 or pre ww2.
USA! 0:23 I vote good ole US
I vote good old USSR
@@Russiagaming720 traitor.
@@Russiagaming720 nvm, I just realized where your ass is from
Please mack a vidio Germany 1945 vs Russian 1945
I think USA get dead barrel easier 'cause there front is too strong, so people try to play it as bully, barel, wheels or chenille... And then flank to kill easy
Why are you describing Germany for the American tanks? Also the Russian tanks had better armor overall throughout their tanks. Only certain ones were better, like the super Pershing or the doom turtle
Did the soviet team win round 1 and 2?
Yeah
British fv4005 vs maus 20vs20 would be intresting
Maus would 100% win, the 4005 has a very poor reload and it can't even kill the Maus very reliably. The maus can pen the 4005 with ease pretty much anywhere, and has a much faster reload. I think 20 fv4005s vs 10 maus would be better, the only way the Fv4005s would win is if they got a really long range map and just sat defending a ridgeline.
