Patrick, politics has a say in usage of plastics. What has killed the use of bottles? they were manageable since recycling path was clear, But no plan for plastics used in sodas. they are very degrading to the environment. we need to fast action, legislation.

A topic for all of us human kind. ..most especially please get the country political leaders to be on the same page with you on this. Otherwise we will hear tomorrow that they given away a certain forest or swamp to a Chinese investor.

As an Agronomist am so concerned about this scenario here and even for our survival we as farmers, persistent droughts and changing seasons all affect us poor farmers and yet we contribute less to its cause. How could local farmers affected by global warming be helped to survive and also aid in fighting it

Yes indeed. Thank you sir infact am looking into a great bio degradable packaging solution. Better than paper but safer than polythene

Global warming has had a huge impact on the 🌎 this year. What can we do about it in Uganda? ( locusts in Karamoja, flooding in Kampala, excess use of plastics, extreme deforestation, too many settlers in the wetlands, etc)

There are so many brilliant people all over Africa who need a chance to get started with an own business that helps solve real problems with local knowledge and the connected knowledge of our globalized world. The top down approach of giving money from organizations and governments in the more developed world to the developing countries alone is not sufficient. Sustainable development can succeed much better bottom up. But it needs a whole eco-system for innovation and support for startups to succeed. Local Business Angels Clubs, Corporate Venture funds, all sorts of necessary structures that help entrepreneurs to build and develop their business. These structures cannot be a copy of Silicon Valey style. They must fit the special needs of Africa and respect the diversity of the many countries. We must fight for new kind of economy that leaves nobody behind, a fairer economy. I hope that our next government in Germany will show responsibility for development and climate and do whatever we can be done to bridge Africa and Europe on eye-level. Investments in Africa are investments in Europe too and will be a win for all of us and the planet. We don't have a second planet do matter if some of the wealthiest people in the world are playing space games like children in a sand-box.
