I think the fact that 60mins didn't even pretend they were objective shows how desperate their whole operation has become. They're not even trying to sway the middle ground anymore. They know it's a waste of time appealing to anyone who wasn't FIRMLY in their camp in the first place. THIS IS THE LEAST OBJECTIVE INTERVIEW I'VE EVER SEEN!!!

4:00 They actually got Jenny to apologise for family holidays? Very mild too, just "Sorry if anyone was disappointed" - not upset, angry, frustrated, hurt, or betrayed - just "disappointed". A really inoffensive way to skirt around how people actually felt about what Scomo did. Like she's torn between displaying empathy and upsetting any pro-lib viewers who might think she's being too hard on herself. It's entirely possible for Scott Morrison to keep doing his job during a national crisis while his family takes time away, but for reasons that might never be clear they just decided not to do it like that?

As someone who lived, stood and worked beside the firies in the 2019 bushfires I don't accept your bullshit apologies Mrs Morrison.

I wonder what George Negus, Jana Wendt and Ian Leslie think of Karl maintaining the 60 Minutes legacy?

@@HOTD108_ Nick Bond, 14 February 2022: "60 Minutes’ much-hyped interview with Prime Minister Scott Morrison and has family was ratings fizzer for Nine last night, shedding almost 200,000 viewers from last week’s episode.
574,000 people across the five metro capitals tuned in to watch Karl Stefanovic’s interview with the Morrisons last night, highlights of which included the PM serenading viewers with a ukulele performance of the Dragon classic April Sun in Cuba.
It meant 60 Minutes was beaten in its timeslot by British crime drama Vera on the ABC, which drew 587,000 viewers. It was also a steep drop-off from Married At First Sight, which was watched by 961,000 viewers in the five metro capitals in the timeslot before 60 Minutes on Nine."

I remember reading somewhere that he only started supporting the sharks was not long before he became PM, he has been known to say he only likes Rugby union and the wallabies, trying to look like a working class hero😅😅

I am also more than sorry that The Morrisons are in public view at all, he should never have been PM and the Liberal party corrupt contracts and blatant insider trading needs to be held accountable today and ensure it doesn't happen tomorrow.

I can't say I find her either funny or relatable. At all. Interesting that they did show that weird Australian Gothic/Handmaid's Tale photograph, because when the interview was first advertised, I was in a conversation where the other person had asked, "why drag her out now? We haven't seen her at all, ever, until this. She's not been active in the role of 'First Lady.'" and I replied at the time, "not true. She was in a really creepy photo that one time." I wonder if they pay her well for all the scapegoating and deflection work she does? Was it in the marriage vows to take the blame when his laziness and selfishness has predictable and obvious ramifications? Wtf does any of his mistakes have to do with Jenny who says herself that she doesn't understand politics*?
    * The idea of women pretending they couldn't possibly understand all that [waves hands around] hectic political thinking, seems intensely Victorian Era. According to SMH 12 May 2019, this is a woman who was a nurse, whose managed a childcare centre and has also been in retail. She couldn't possibly be as stupid about is as [waves hands around head] all that. Wtf is supposed to be relatable about pretending to not understand rather than voice an opinion? In Australia? In 2022?! She has an opinion. It's disturbing as shit that she feels she should pretend to be stupid rather than voice it. Rather than distancing from a likeness to The Handmaid's Tale, that moment there, quite amplified the likeness.
