This is the most amazing solo i've ever heard. Right here, you can see the great big gaping difference which separates industry made music from the real, true music that comes from the heart and reaches right into the heart. In essence, that's what Iron Maiden is, not just a band, but something that comes from the heart of the bandmates and the millions of fans all over the world.
I love it when I just story to music 🎶 much talent these guys r just so awesome Iron maiden my friend Randy Roberts would two tickets for the show 🙌 ❤️
I had this concert on VHS. Back in I think '86.. I was 14. I played it every day. All day. I watched every move, drum hit, guitar change.. Adrian Smith couldn't have had his Les Paul tuned better for this show. There guys were masters of riff changes and mixing octaves..
I was 13 this was the second album I bought by them vinyl back them lol see them at donnington.two fans got crushed and drown ed in the mud when gone hit the stage
I know I read somewhere other parents (maiden fans) saying this, but its real, it happen to me, my 2 sons LOVE maiden music, on their own (makes ME proud, of course), but I think it shows the QUALITY you are talking about... they now happen to be looking for it on their own on youtube, learning the lyrics, asking about the stories... this is paradise!!! :D
Roberto Cerrud My kids grew up listening to Maiden. They had no choice since I was always cranking it loud. They may not always admit it but them and I both know that they love them some Maiden. They will surely recognize Maiden when they hear them. Me and my youngest boy went to The Book of Souls Tour at the Inglewood Forum recently and he was having the time of his life. we both loved it and to me I think Iron Maiden put on a legendary performance. They sounded better than ever. They played lots of older songs from the 80's and my boy was rocking out. Me and my boy will never forget that night.
Iron Maiden still hasn't made a bad album to this day. For a band who has been around for 40+ years, that is unreal. It is especially amazing when you think about the musical dynamics of each song. Nothing Iron Maiden does is cookie-cutter, and every album has it's own unique flavor. I love so many other bands, but they all have a clunker or two.
That's awesome! I always thought to myself that if I come to have children, I won't force them any kind of music, and I'll let them choose for themselves, but I'll be damn proud if they choose rock 'n' roll ;)
Chris Asplen I finally got to see Iron Maiden in St. Paul Minnesota at the Excel Energy Center June 16,2017 & I had been waiting to see them since I was 4!
I took my elder 10 yr and my 6 yr daughters to the IM concerts in México City (September 2019). These concerts were recorded for the Nights of the Dead" Live Album, so we were lucky to be part of the History....
i am a big napalm -obituary -slayer fan and that album started all my love for big guitars and bass-drums but never underestimated the power of lyrics................ from tha day in1986 and to this day always a maiden members...Loll
This is the greatest version of my fave Maiden song, even kills the album version. This whole album just kills it. Best live album ever. Thank you so much for uploading.
Definitely one of the greatest guitar solos ever. Also, regarding what Steve plays at 4:08, would that be considered a bass solo as well? I personally always have, since the bass is definitely more prominent and the guitars kind of drop to the back, even though they still remain harmonized and awesome.
No - it's just a repeated riff, sexy as it is. Better example of a true Steve solo would be on Stranger in a Strange Land during the first part of the guitar solo, or the intro to Blood on the World's Hands off the X Factor
Harrys on this subject shines with the bass. without doubt one of their best songs next to the trooper, aces high, run to the hills ... among other compositions great.
I know Clive burr was fantastic on the three albums he did with maiden, but I can't imagine him doing as good a job in the power slave album as nicko did, very different style of drumming when you break it down and listen to the drums
Why is it I find Irons live music better than most of their studio stuff? i dont find this with any other band. The studio mixing always makes it sound better. but not irons. They just rock on and sound better and better. UP THE IRONS !!!
Phantom of the opera and revelations are my favourites on live after death .i bought this album when it was 1st released .What a day for an OOOriginal METLER.Im 40 now still going hard .Iron Maiden better live .Still i love KoRn better .Jonno .NZ the best country in the WORLD.
Light Bearer yes and it's so easy to tell them apart. I trip out on how they each have their own unique style of playing and how they interweave them together to make an amazing sound.
@aykut2373 Its a sign of a great band to sound the same or better live than in the studio. all bands or solo acts these days sound crap live. its obvious the studio has "enchanced" their voice to make it better. back in the day that wasnt the case. it just goes to show true talent. Imagine the likes of Irons, metallica, slayer etc entering the world stage these days? they would blow them away with ability. and that ability is lost these days to enhanced studio recordings.
Sure wish I knew what happened to my double album set...idiot. I loaned it out and, suprise...poof...gone! This set was so beautiful compared to the orig's. Dickinson was stretching out his opera voice...epic-ness.
I'm here this morning for a bit of theme music! I've been warned by the little helpers of the world that I'm banned from posting due to pointing out the realities surrounding Orcs! And Rectum Lovers!
A masterpiece. No more words needed.

That's true
100% Agree 🤘😀
I get a tear from that, every damn time
The pinch harmonic at 3:47 has always been my favorite. I have loved it all of these years.
Omg man, you said everything. That pinch harmonic from Adrian is absolutely fantastic. That gold-worthy detail
The reason why I'm here. It was just done at the right moment. That's what Adrian does. And that's why I love his style. 🎸
Simply unbelievable.
That whole break canonizes Adrian right there
M A S T E R P I E C E for all time

I was here.......Best live album ever.........

Idk I always felt Bruce struggled on a few songs on this one
I had the giant Live After Death poster in my bedroom right after this was released. Junior high, 1985.
I had this concert on VHS. Back in I think '86.. I was 14. I played it every day. All day. I watched every move, drum hit, guitar change.. Adrian Smith couldn't have had his Les Paul tuned better for this show. There guys were masters of riff changes and mixing octaves..

You can really hear Adrian Smith’s guitar in this live version. Amazing!

why can't the popular music of today be this good /sigh/
Because they simply don't produce music anymore
Loss of creativity thx to dummy pro tools

Easiest thumb up all day!
Took my 12 year old son to see Maiden in Nottingham UK 04/05/2017. What a lucky Dad am I!!!!

Phenominal solos from 3:00 on
This solo of Dave Murray, is Fantastic!!!
i am a big napalm -obituary -slayer fan and that album started all my love for big guitars and bass-drums but never underestimated the power of lyrics................ from tha day in1986 and to this day always a maiden members...Loll
La première chanson métal que j'ai écouter dans ma vie :-DDDDD
probably the best example of Nicko's drumming on this
This is the greatest version of my fave Maiden song, even kills the album version. This whole album just kills it. Best live album ever. Thank you so much for uploading.

Magic, Mesmerizing!
That's the greatest pinch harmonic ever.
I know Clive burr was fantastic on the three albums he did with maiden, but I can't imagine him doing as good a job in the power slave album as nicko did, very different style of drumming when you break it down and listen to the drums
I like both but the guitar solo in the interlude of this version is particularly intense-
they did this show after show, always araisng the standard

Hell yes.
3:47 Probably the single greatest pinch harmonic in history
@aykut2373 and the performance of Nicko Mcbrain is perfect in all this disc. Much more than the studio drums.
Amazing Bass Steve Harris Do caralho essa musica ao vivo pqp

Smith and Murray share the solo. Obviously.
Light Bearer yes and it's so easy to tell them apart. I trip out on how they each have their own unique style of playing and how they interweave them together to make an amazing sound.
I came out of this concert exhausted.
Best instrumental ever.
