My overall analysis is that they 110% have authentic love for each-other (regardless of it being platonic or romantic). Sometimes you just connect with someone on a level that transcends past human physical connection. They’ve only been friends for less than 5 or 6 months and they have the friendship that most people can only really develop over a few years.
I think it’s the kind of friendship that lasts until they’re 80. (Now this is a cliché) but I do think in an alternate universe, under very different circumstances, they would potentially be a romantic fit. But I’ve said from the beginning, I don’t see them together romantically.
Tara has the same complex dynamic with her ex Jake Webber. They still have an extreme amount of love for one another despite being romantically broken up, and it’s because that “soul connection” was the base of their relationship and physical intimacy was probably just a bonus. ALTHOUGH, the difference is the way Tara looks at Jake. She kind of looks at him with this subconscious yearning and that romantic connection will always be a small part of her, but that is not there at all with Zach.
I think, from Tara’s side, she doesn’t harbour feelings for Zach (at least not romantically). I avidly watch the podcast and it’s just something you pick up on without being able to articulate why. Zach is harder to read and I think he could have romantic attraction to Tara, but not as much sexual. Whereas Jared (their co-host) is 100% sexually attracted to Tara since he openly admitted he would do the deed with her if the opportunity arose.
Although your comment about Zach not showing enough of his emotional side can kind of be debunked. This was filmed nearly 2 months ago AND he is way more emotionally open on his podcast with her and frequently admits he cares for her and loves being in her presence, and misses her when she’s gone.
I just think Zach and Tara have a deeper connection that is incredibly hard to decipher without watching them over a long period of time, but you did a magnificent job!! I think overall the one thing everyone needs to remember is they are real people and we shouldn’t 100% always speculate.

One thing i love about zach. Zach knows that Tara loves that bad boy archetype and aesthetic. Never once has he considered the aesthetic onto himself. I believe zach will remain respectfully himself regardless of how tara feels. And im sure the inbox of hot women in him dms helps him feel confident about his own aesthetic as well

I think the tension between them arises because for Tara, she sees Zach's disinterest in even the smokeshow women in his DM's and the fact that he likes her as a PERSON but is not attracted to her as a challenge. She wants to be the one to crack him and truly get him, even though he's not even her type.
And for him it's a flex to be a thoroughly decent and loving friend to her while making the obscenest jokes and fueling the dating rumors. I think he's right, that if he keeps being his genuine sweet self and ACTUALLY pursued Tara (which he doesn't want to do because while he may feel a general attraction toward her, he's not seeing her as compatible) he could win her over.
And because Tara knows that he wouldn't give it a shot, she feels super comfortable around him, because she trusts him.

In my opinion it seems like Tara isnt over Jake and is not ready to seriously date again. She said on Trish's podcast that her and Jake "broke up to be single for a while" and that's what she's going to do. Meanwhile Jake has already had a more concrete failed talking stage with Kenzie, so he seems more over things/ready to move on. I feel like Jake was the one to break up with Tara since he did pretty much all of the explaining in the break up video while Tara was emotional and crying. She also makes more flirty jokes towards him that he often shoots down and seems to clarify she's not with anyone she is rumored to be with in front of Jake constantly; Almost like she wants him to know she's waiting. Whereas Jake makes a lot of drier jokes about the breakup. All this to say, I feel like Tara isn't mentally over it and is a bit shaken still, so while she might flirt or hookup with people, she's not going to do anything with Zach because she knows that would be in a more serious context since they're already great friends, and she can't really develop new feelings while still stuck on Jake. I feel like Zach also knows this with the "we're not on the right stages" comment.

@@user-lv4ov5rp6d I would say the reason we say the saying, "right person wrong time" is because Tara changed Jake. Jake when dating Tara was a very immature person. He did not act like an adult. He did not clean for himself nor did he cook. He did not care for his health or hygiene, but he said that since he has broken up with Tara he has started to put effort in himself and better himself. I believe if he showed that change, when they were together, they still would still be together, but alas they are better off as friends. I believe the main reason they broke up is because of their schedules. You can tell from prior videos and how often they would hang together that that was the case, their relationship became more like business partners than a relationship between girlfriend and boyfriend.
i 100% agree with you! Tara loves Zack as a best friend and she's very flirty. To many viewers they see the great chemistry between them and Zack at times shows his sweet side towards her. Because of this, many assumes that is a possibility Tara may like him too or at least think that his sweet spot for her will win her over one day. She definitely is way more comfortable with Zack, as appose to Vinnie. Tara formally met Vinnie not so long ago and was immediately attracted him. You can see in the last video you reacted the different eye contact, body language and the way she was speaking to Vinnie that she did not friend zone him. Can a relationship form between Tara and Vinnie? who knows cause opposites can attract sometimes, but for sure there was no friend zoning there.
Zach has said before in pervious videos that when the cameras are on he likes to put on a persona who's funny and charming but off cameras behind closed doors he's more himself and shows a more serious side to him. He has a great love for comedy and likes being an entertainer

i 100% agree with you on everything you said about zach actually liking her, theres so many clips of them flirting as a joke but sometimes it seems like zach is being genuine 😭 sometimes its hard to tell though because of his humor

Ironically enough, Zach has said on the podcast that he has a good track record of “making it out of the friend zone.” With his previous girlfriend, he was kind of in that friend zone until he helped her leave an abusive ex, so he might just be playing the long game.
Although their dynamic is cute, I definitely agree with you that Tara is not sexually attracted to him. But I believe that attraction can be developed.

Yeah this is why it requires analysis over multiple videos where he actually talks about himself. He literally calls his BEST-FRIEND Jared, and acquaintance (I know that’s a running joke, but there’s an element of truth in that he doesn’t like being 100% vulnerable).
Zach overall is very closed off and struggles with vulnerability with most people, not just Tara.
I think he’s the type of a guy who doesn’t say such things because they mean much more to him than for Tara. She says it casually, because she sees the “i love you” as a “you’re the best person”, meanwhile Zach sees it as “I want you, I want you in my life and I wil protect you”.
I find Zach so interesting, coz he’s extremely aware of everything and will also play into certain narratives such as the one about him liking Tara so it’s quite hard to analyse at all. Also extremely open with his emotions it’s great to hear him talk about past situations and how he feels

from watching Zach, actually most of what he says is truthful, even if it’s disguised under the guise of a joke. which is the catch 22- he’s able to express how he truly feels and most people don’t even clock it because they assume he’s just joking.
I think it important to note that like even Zach's best friend jarred he refers to him as a acquaintance and like and stuff so it's not out of character for him not to say I love you back in this real life
I have a question: when she asks “do you love a little coocoo?” Isn’t that a sign she seeks validation from him? Also, I feel like if you watch the podcast, Zach makes SO many jokes about Tara and him together, and she’s always blushing or putting him down but still smiling. And Zach even outed Tara for suggesting that he and her hook up while on their tour (coming up) and she turned red and basically admitted she did suggest it (Tana as guest on the podcast). So to me it seems like there is that attraction of her towards Zach. Tara also said she avoids edits of her because she starts to believe what the analysis says about her (and most edits are about her and Zach). Also, when asked if she could spend the rest of her life with Zach she said “no! Because he would get sick of me and that in turn would make me upset.” So to me, it feels like Tara knows Zach is sexually attracted to her, but she isn’t sure he really wants ALL of her, and in anticipation of his rejection internally rejects him. Bc if she wasn’t attracted to him at all why would she suggest to hook up? Does this change anything in your opinion?
I completly agree, I think that their interactions during podcasts, or car videos and even the lie detector test do show that tara is interested in him.
If I’m gonna guess, I’d say it’s all for the goofs and she was prob just being playful.

Also If you watch their podcast you might get a very different read on them. *I HAVE SUCH A THOUGHT PIECE ON THEIR DYNAMIC AND RELATIONSHIP* 😅 and im gonna split it up by their dynamic individually
Been watching the podcast before Tara was on there and it was Indi. Indi is Zach’a ex GF and no one knew they were dating till they broke up and she left the podcast because she cheated on Zach with her Ex (this is important imo). Zach is very interesting because he is a very religious person at least growing up, he doesn’t cuss, drink, or smoke, but he is a comedian and he writes comedy scripts. So he is the exact opposite of Tara’s type. Zach is one of those guys in youtube that is constantly drooled over by girls and he plays up to that with his Comedy and flirts with every girl ever. The last notable thing before i dive into my thoughts on their dynamic is he’s a 28 yr old that has been opened about wanting a wife and a family, Tara is 23, just now hitting the height of her popularity and loves to party..
*Zach’s Dynamic*
to me Zach is without a doubt in love with Tara, this was admitted on the lie detector podcast, but even before then you can tell he has a soft spot for her and genuinely cares about her, this is interesting when you know about his relationship dynamic with his ex Indi, Indi was in a abusive relationship when they started the podcast and zach pretty much protected her and also took a genuine role in her life. I feel like Zach is a natural protector so he ends up falling for girls who quote on quote need saving or looks to be someone who can ground the other, and I feel like what made him fall for tara is that he loves to ground her and make her calm in her world of chaos. I think Zach is eery to go after tara because of his relationship with Indi and how she went back to her ex.. Tara and her ex are extremely close, also Zach is also very mature when he isn’t doing his whole comedic schtick, he’s been on other podcasts and not playing up to this character and he’s genuinely a nerdy financial adult, and I think he realizes Tara isn’t in the place at 23 who would settle down to be a wife which is what he’s looking for l, so he pulls back on his chase to pursue her.
*Tara’s Dynamic*
I truly believe Tara started off not seeing Zach in anyway other than a friend, Zach isn’t Tara’s type at all but I think the more she hung out with him the more she fell for him, which even caught her by surprise, and Zach actually brought this to life on a podcast episode, Tara asked him “do you think ur my type” and he said no but I think that’s what scares and confuses you.. and they had this big conversation about it and tara got uncomfortable quick when he brought it to light. There was a noticeable change in their dynamic from the first episode they filmed, to the drunk episode on paetron, where tara got drunk and was drooling over him, and then the grinch Christmas episode. During this time i think Tara genuinely fell for his comedic and emotional maturity. Now there was another noticeable dynamic change between them where tara stopped flirting back with him (around when this was film this video was film like 2-3 months before it came out) I think tara started to let the online edits of them two get to her (she’s hinted at this multiple times) so she then OVER compensates her love for zach by downplaying him as this disgusting little brother online.. Zach once again brought this to light on the sam and colby episode where they had a mini argument in front of everyone. Tara once again did the “eew your gross zach, I dont want to be next to you” shtick, but this time it pissed Zach off and for a moment you genuinely see zach snapped and called her out on acting like two different people, and how she doesn’t act like this off camera. Again I believe this is Tara over compensating because when she does see edits of her and zach she starts to fall in love with him in a way that scares her.
*Overall*
I think they both love each other but pull back for different reasons.. Zach pulls back because of his past relationship being similar to what’s happening with him n Tara, and he also realizes their maturity differences when it comes to what they want from a relationship, which is him wanting a famiky and tara being a 23 rock star, and I think tara pulls away because zach is not her typical type so it confuses and scares her more than anything so she over compensates to fight those emotions, and Zach flirting with every girl including her confuses her on whats reality and whats not…. Alright.. thats my essay on their dynamic 😅😂😂

with all respect to Anthonys expertise i think youre 100% correct. You cant really judge the dynamic on one video, the podcast episodes are more telling imho and objectivelly this is what i got from it as well.

Everything you said about the best friend dynamic is so accurate ESPECIALLY for someone like Tara. That’s clearly what she looks for and needs in a relationship. Look at her relationship with Jake for example. The dating dynamic didn’t work out but they are still close friends to this day regardless. Exactly like you said, they were best friends so even though it didn’t work out it didn’t matter because they’re still friends and still care for each other deeply.
I noticed that when the server flirted with her, and there was a little back and forth, he says something dumb to kill that tension.

@@kaedyncep8248she has been different , I noticed before she used to heavily flirt with zach back in their earlier videos and return the same energy as him - that’s why people thought they liked each other but now she restricts her jokes and always makes sure people don’t think they’re together and always shuts it down. I think over time she grew to love him like a friend and brother than a romantic connection. It may just be an act in front of the camera tho not certain.

Thank you so much for talking about the texting thing. I just rot my brain with my last crush and now that we don’t talk i feel so much relief! He ghosted me when we were finally supposed to meet. I was sad at first cuz i really liked him. But now i realized how nervous the whole thing would make me. He was playing so hot n cold.
One of Zach's last girlfriends cheated on him. I think this had a big negative impact on him. Now he has a roster of girls that are "friends". Zach and Tara knew of each other through mutual friends before they met in person. They met at a party a few weeks after her and Jake broke up. I think Zach helped her emotionally through the break up with Jake. Tara has implied if Zach didn't have roster and was more open with his feelings then maybe. On the other hand, Zach knows Tara very well and considers her high maintenance. I doubt they will ever date, but will probably hook up on their upcoming podcast tour.

Thank you for this one! I knew Zach would be a hard one to read! I bet You prolly need more background on him to be able to read him, like he dated Indiana (the original girl co host on Dropouts Podcast) secretly till they broke up and filmed a why Indi is leaving the podcast, explaining how they’d been secretly dating, what happened & why she was leaving the podcast.

Not that I am a dating expert but I worked correction for 15 years and played competitive card games my entire life so I've lived life noticing small mannerism from tens of thousands of ppl but the way he talked about Tara taking someone in and seeing them w/ love is time I never took when observing someone. I just wanna say, I just recently started talking to someone new after being out of the dating game for a minute (I recently got out of a long term relationship) and alot of the stuff you are saying is just clicking, everything from the best-friend dynamic and the wondering about the delayed responses, and all of this is stuff ive already processed on my own and came to the same conclusions, so it gives me confidence that I KNOW im doing what i need to be doing, and i just need to relax more. Here's my thoughts on Zach and Tara. Yes right now they are just friends. I dont think Zach was looking for a relationship when he met Tara, because he knew that she just got out of a long term relationship and really needed a friend and he was that shoulder to cry on. And for Tara I think she sees him as a best friend,and shes looking to have fun and be single for the first time as an adult and truly find what she wants in a guy. But like Zach has said he has never pursued her in that way,and if he did pursue her then there's a chance that that friendship could turn into a romantic relationship. I was friends first with my now husband, never once did I think we would end up together. I was into blue eyes and blonde hair and he has brown eyes with dark brown hair.Not that i didnt find him attractive,he just wasnt my type. I was into the bad boys just like Tara. But just because you start a friendship first never means that is all it will ever be. Over time people grow closer as you get to really know the other person. It takes time. But what I learned from my own life is it would be up to Tara if she would want to give it a chance or not,and to look past what kind of guy she normally would go for, because if it ends up being like my situation where I saw how this man was always there for me no matter what and he was treating me better than all the guys I was dating, that instead of pushing him away maybe, just maybe he deserved a chance. So I gave him that chance and now its been 12 years and were married with a little girl. Nobody knows what the future holds. The same could happen to them or they might just stay friends. Only time will tell.

Exatcly. This video is not enough to take big conclusions. In other videos, its clear Zach and tara have a flirty dynamic and friends usually turn to lovers. Tara saying she is into bad boys with tatoos is such a teenager phase... but eventually she might go for Zach only if she is willing to give him a chance or to express her attraction to him...

Something that has made me think Zach is just a little bit into Tara is how he talks about the kind of guys she likes. There was one point on the pod where he even asked her “is that what you think you need?” It makes me think he might deep down feel like he could treat her better.
Tara on the other hand gives me the impression that she’s kinda just dating around right now and is not trying to jump into another long term relationship.
The reason I have been so fascinated by them as a pair is this kinda friendship limbo that they both say they are in. As a gal, I think it could be possible for Tara to one day change her mind about Zach, but it also could be very unlikely. None the less, they definitely have a very interesting and genuine dynamic. I think the reason they work so well is because they bring out different sides of each other’s personality. Tara is so genuine that she kinda breaks down Zach’s character, and Zach is really supportive of Tara so she feels safe with him personally.
This made me realize I had repressed trauma. Like I’m hurting more and more every second 😅

Hi Anthony, your observation of their signals is something what I agree completely. Just have you seen Zachs other videos with Tara or even with some other girls? He is simply like that. I and also I agree with you that he saving something for off the camera, cause as long as he is wity and quick and in a lot of times even unpredictable and probably all girls love that, he seems that he doesn't have a brake, but I would guess that he does have a break off the camera cause there is no person who say something bad about him and if he is always like that like on camera I bet that he wouldn't have such praises from his closest friends and people overall. I watched a lot of his videos and as long as he can exaggerate in his jokes and momentum there is always understanding from others and they just go with the flow, probably cause they know that he isn't completely like that always.
As for love relationship betwen them there is no freaking way for that. Just look at Taras past choices.. al of them are some kind of heavy metal look like dudes, a bit messy, with tattoos and crayons and stuff. Zach is clearly something different and doesn't fit. But also I don't think that Zach is crazy about her either. I think Zach is very well aware of his quallities, that he is quick, well spoken, funny and he always goes with those "weapons" fully loaded. But also I really think that Zach is more mature then Tara. And while he likes to make jokes and go on easy mode deep in side those kind of guys/persons knows exactly that they have advantage over those people who are not mature enough. When you follow them both Tara and Zach have their moments when they share opinios about some more life serious questions and Taras takes are almost always naive and childish even more then hers 23s. And that can be big turn off for relationship material for persons like Zach.
I have a question for you though, if I may. What you think if happens that Zach stop being flirty completely with Tara at once, if that can change things between them? I guess probably it would've bothers Tara a bit, but not in a way that she will fall in love... More like in a way of curiosity why change happened. And also as long she would've like from Zach to stop being flirty with her (a least these kind of reactions she shows) I don't believe she can let it go like that without questions if that really become a thing? Simple she get used on Zachs behaviour in one pattern towards her and any change most likely can get strange for her, especially cause I really think she isn't mature to handle in more clever way changes and reactions.

what a thought provoking video! i have been here for 2-3 hours after watching the video trying to articulate my thoughts but I think you covered them all! I agree Zach would pursue Tara if she showed interest. Paradoxically, I think Tara would only show interest if Zach could articulate why he finds her attractive, in a way that shows he truly understands her character.

No one on the crew knew about it!! And she went into explanation how she says "I love you" at the end of phone convos, but he never does, and went into their lore.
