    And this is why I bought my 2018 Sv650!

    I own a 2020 SV650 with the blue frame and glossy black tank/tail fairing. Bought it with 2800 km (first owner) like 2 weeks ago.
    I am loving it! It's an amazing machine. It's my 4th bike so far, and I can't imagine it being sold any time soon!

    Thank you guys for this masterpiece. Had many bikes and tried many others. Still in love with a 2005 model bought last year. It is fun and all the bike you need outside of a track. I have no doubt i will buy another one when my 2005 goes to the motorbike heaven.

    So these are the guys I need to thank for giving me 18 years of pleasure, riding my SV? I was out on it earlier today giving it a good thrashing in the twisties and still loving it just as much as the day I bought it. Mines running sweet as a nut even after all that time. They're a great bike!

    So happy the SV650's back. So damn happy.
    I just got into riding this season and I'm really excited to get one of these as my next bike a few years down the road once I've got some experience. What a beauty! The huge variety of features and superb quality Suzuki's incorporated into the bike draw me in like nothing else, and it certainly helps that it looks just so goddamn good in its black colour scheme.
    I really dig the low RPM assist too, and I can definitely see its merits even for more experienced riders. Super handy feature to have, and I'm absolutely astonished by this bike's price point all things considered. Wild they did all this and kept it so affordable at the same time. Excellent.
    I've got a lot to look forward to it seems.

    I made my licence 1 month ago and after testing 8 different bikes, i found the SV 650 the perfect bike for me. Handling, seat height, suspension, instruments, manouverability, engine performance, everything is great about this bike and perfect for me (180cm). I want to buy this bike in spring ´17!

    It's nice to see Suzuki has done such a great job with this bike. If I were in the market for a middleweight bike right now, the new SV650 would be my choice hands down.

      With the current GSX-S series bikes, I don't foresee them making a new supernaked twin. Man I wish they would though! Punch out that Vstrom motor to about 1100cc and bake in a lot of performance. Slap it in a lightweight chassis with solid suspension and brakes, and some electronics, and voila.

    I've only ridden scooters before and cannot wait to get my hands on a bike. I'm a beginner so I was looking at 125s and 300s but I don't want a bike I want to swap out after a couple years. I found the sv650. I compared this to competitors and this things walks the competition. great for daily riding (90%+ of riding) and will be fun no matter my experience level. I love agility in vehicles. And this things looks the best imo. The only question now is between the 2nd gen used and this new one which is so tempting.

    I'm not convinced by Kohei's views about the seat, it really really needs to be more comfortable, doing so would add to the appeal of the bike with no loss, there's an analogy that springs to mind when I see what he says about his ideas about the hard seat.

    • @Benzin0
      @Benzin0 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree, the seat is not very confortable on long rides... would've preferred more cushion instead of that "superior performance".

    • @mindspinn311
      @mindspinn311 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what the aftermarket is for. How many factory seats are comfortable for all day riding? Softer and more padded seats can have their own downsides. I like SeatConcepts proprietary foam!

    • @--JohnDoe
      @--JohnDoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I put a large airhawk cruiser R on my 2020 sv650, and it makes it 1,000 times more comfy. You slide around on it just a bit if you have it inflated too much. But you can just decrease air. Works great.

    • @mindspinn311
      @mindspinn311 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Doe A good solution that I may have to try. There’s also sheepskin. I’m surprised there seems to be such a lack of aftermarket seats available for the 2017+ SV650.

    Excellent design philosophy. Although i my opinion things like the low rpm rider assist and intake noise are not really necessary, but i guess the former is a good feature for beginners.

    Fantastic product for the price. Great Job.
    I would advise two minor enhancements if possible for future models:
    1. Shorten the exhaust, so it is similar to the MT07/XSR700 and CB650R, so that the rear wheel is more visible and a bit more tidy. It might also reduce some weight on the bike.
    2. Offer a Front Headlight Cowl/Cover accessory that is the same shape as the SV650X. It is a much nicer cowl, and more classic looking.

    • @omfgwtfbbq90
      @omfgwtfbbq90 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. No, just go buy an MT07 if you want that. You clearly didn't understand the "back to basics design" the 1999 SV650 didn't have an exhaust like MT07. And most of us like the look of it like it is.
      2. Just buy the SV650X if you want a cowl? It's a naked bike for a reason. Most people don't prefer wind buffeting.

    Someone please help me. I put R9000 synthetic oil in my 2020 sv650 at 900 miles. Now it ticks/knocks in neutral, then stops ticking when I pull the clutch in. Do I have to go back to R5000 conventional oil? Or will R7000 semi synthetic stop the ticking? What is this ticking from?

    how about stepping up the soft brake calipers to four ports setup?
    you got a good engine but a squishy front brake, not a good combination

    • @redboatandrew
      @redboatandrew 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Suzuki went to four-piston front brake calipers for 2019 on the SV650.

    Lo que no me a acaba de gustar de las motos actuales, o mejor dicho, de sus diseños....es que son cortas en el largo, en comparación de las motos más antiguas. Parece que les falta algo en la parte trasera, cómo muy vacias.

    make "voice from engineers" for GSX S125 please, bcs i dont understand why suzuki create that bike

    • @dasherman4331
      @dasherman4331 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some countries have limits on what CC bike you can ride at what age/ experience level. Suzuki, like most other manufacturers is appealing to the market by offering a range of sport bikes in a range of sizes. My mate has a little 125cc bike and i would 100% take that in the city day to day compared to my (bigger) bike. It only weighs 120kg!! Plus you feel like rossi on it because you can use all it's potential on normal roads.
