Honestly the thing that surprised me the most is how fast the push was

Q Cooldown gets really short
Her Q gets like a .5 second cd mid game.
she is a jungler so the fast wave clear is her thing
Rek'sai tunnels last 10 mins, so every time you recall then walk back to lane, you make a tunnel, it will add up after several recalls and become a tunnel system that make your trip back to lane significantly faster, basically an ARAM portal in SR

Well ranged champs become gods in top lane cause its supposed to be for weak melees to scale or survive until their power spikes. Now that sounds like something an adc would also like. However without ganks top laners turn into melee minions vs ranged champs.

@@aprofessionalateverything7585 not Fiora but the other two are easily kiteable with anyone who knows how to space and use their abilities on, Kaisa, Lucian, zeri, Quinn, vayne, jayce and even tristana, vs a melee without a gank will win lane.

One other tip: always remember to unburrow before you ult an enemy, the casting time before the damage will reduce your W in cooldown to burrow again. And you can tp tunnels xD

@@Jangz_ yeah just set up a bunch of tunnels in the enemy base. Hope they miss one and just back door for free with no minion wave meanwhile enemy is in your base or fighting for elder.

I had stopped playing reksai top for a while because i thought she was struggling in lane after playing it so much i would love to continue again
I played her a bunch this patch in master tier and she is incredibly strong right now. After they reworked her ulti 6 years ago or sth i gave up and tried countless times and i can safely say she is finally viable on top lane mainly because of the passive buff

I haven’t played league in a very long time but I remember Rek Sai on launch. She was very broken and a staple for competitive play. “Rek Guy” by Dunkey is to date one of my favorite videos on the platform.
Anyone with a global ult was top tier back then for split push then, instantly join a fight, also for BD purposes, not just 3k range or half map range, IIRC her ult can global tunnel not sure if it had damage or not, she also had no mana, she was like flexibility queen.
@@MangaGamified no damage, it was a straight up teleport. Also her knock up was better and she had a lot more base damage so she was great as a tank.
@@Rylatar She would be Queen in Aram if it was the old one, she has enough mix of both damage and tankiness to tank a low HP Tower then nexus, don't remember if her Q can damage towers back then

I immediatly played it top when i saw the buffed they gave her. Tbh i think i made a hermeidinger top a mental breakdown because everytime he poked i healed with minion and i non stopped hit my ranged q. You have to imagine i was like full tower pussying around but hitting my q’s, he tried everything to kill me under tower, but after to many ranged q poke i just press R and win. Adding to this that reksai have a seriously dangerous burst prio due to her bump, playing her even full tank isn’t even trolling since your passive scales now, and meaning that you can get the most powerful trades with your opponent, because of the prio, you burst him, and you don’t worry about the rest because its going to heal back by gently retreating after your burst, even if you know that late game you might just spam q spell and win. High potential right here
8:13 That's actually a bad tip for the Rek'sai vs Darius matchup. Any good Darius will save E to pull you out of your Tunnel mid-animation, putting that Tunnel on cooldown
it means you can do your full combo easier if he doesn't E, and darius wont wanna just auto probably so he might Q or w, so he will have less threat once he Es
i think idk, ive beat almost every Darius as reksai tbh, other than one who begged for ganks i swear
@@evianwyner8280 Darius doesn't beat Rek'sai because of his E, he counters Rek'sai because he just straight up wins in an extended fight. "Having less threat once he E's" isn't true as its main purpose is just to help him stick on you, which he will have no problem with against a melee champion whose only disengage can be interrupted by displacement. Rek'sai is not supposed to beat Darius if Darius plays properly.

the sad part for me is that I used to do this exact playstyle in season 5, only then it worked better. Because rek'sai still had her old ult. meaning your split push was insanely strong if you set up a lot of tunnels for map control. they removed that playstyle completely and I didn't touch rek'sai top ever since. so my it feels nostalgic to get in a little bit of rek'sai top
it would not work, with carry toplaners being so popular a champ with a non combat alt is kinda ass

Its better to have an incredible 1v1 ult instead of a very conditional teleport. Same reason Tryndamere and Jax are better at split pushing than Twisted Fate.
Something funny is that you can get a little behind at some point where enemy team and yours thinks you're trolling while pushing alone... until all the enemy base is down

I don’t know how well it does against garen. I play garen and I don’t know if it’s the enemy player that plays bad or the match up is bad but I seem to win the lane almost every time.

As a reksai laner main it can be tough. Dont expect this pick to be free but it has it's winning MUs. Yone/Yasuo are pretty easy just for yasuo it takes some outplay and use of trades. I personally switch between HoB and Conq depending on MU. Tanks and bruisers that can extend fights are conq and squishier targets can allow for HoB.
Every video of yours i try it out, with this one, i went 1/11 but ended up taking 3 turrets and 1 inhib just by myself. I'd say this combined with baus strategy would work out PERFECT

Rek'sai is one of those champions that I'll forget exists for large stretches of time. Ivern and Skarner are also like that.
Passive healing scales with her % max HP especially of late game is insane now. Healing amplification like Spirit Visage and Revitalize rune make her sustain almost every combat that doesn't make her down.

only one which could rly work out is jgl currently, im spamming here currently there and safe to say its insane... she lacks bit dmg but u can 1v1 early on alot of other junglers, also having a second support gives your own support more choices if it comes to items, since rell shines with alot of them she can be flexible with her items too while still being tanky
well me when i play rek sai top. my go to runes is hail of blades. its so effectives because reksai is so powerful at making a short trades and since hail of blades have a short cd. even you lose a trade as long as your rage is full you can easily back those mising hp
im playin reksai mid with the assassin build, its strong af, you ik anyone early on, and you can gank well, have a good sustain, etc.. you can really snowball with this.

Thing thing with picks like this and honestly Kaisa is their marks last so long that you really should try to milk your cooldowns after disengaging and go back in with ult when your E is back up to guarantee the kill.

I have been playing rek top for ages and although hardstuck in a low elo I would say going q-q-q-e is usually better than q-q-e-q as it lets you get an extra conq stack for dmg and E range is longer than Q as it can't be cancelled normally letting you possibly get an extra auto in before ending the trade. I also baits the enemy slightly as they aren't expecting the huge chunk of dmg to turn the trade around.

as a reksai main this rework makes me so happy
Rek'sai is another great example of a Jungler that was designed around jungling and not laning.
She has the exact same problems as Warwick, where the champ is designed around being a beefcake to ease early and midgame jungling and absolutely goes out of control as soon as they're put into a lane.
I'm honestly shocked nobody has figured out how to make Fiddle top a thing yet, because he ALSO has the same problems as Warwick that overtune him in lane. I've seen it working in mid lane but not top. Not just that, but Fiddlesticks has easy going into melee champions because of his Q W harass and ult.
The fastest way to get to full rage is:
burrow Q - unburrow knockup(i personally prefer using W because of old habits) - auto - Q auto reset, and rage bar is full!

You can even buffer the E during the q auto for a fast burst of damage. - It is probably rek'sai´s fastest high damage combo.
if you are lvl6 this combo+R is usually enough to guarantee a kill.

Full combo= Burrow.Q - W - AA - Q AA Reset - E - R is the full combo!
(and you still have the last two Q AA's up after you R)

Reksai is much more interesting this way compared to lethality reksai just walking up and clicking u for a full combo oneshot in stun. I hope they can find a way to keep this bruiser feel but make it feel more balanced at the same time.

Fun fact: at about 1.5 attack speed with either HoB or LT, her Q DECREASES YOUR ATTACK SPEED DESPITE SAYING ITS HIGHER. The way I’ve found to bypass this is MANUALLY PRESSING W TO UNBURROW AND IMMEDIATELY CLICK Q. Its so buggy

They are strong champs against reksai. About the flash on cd thing he most likely means that you should look for plays with flash whenever it's available

Yes, I tried with tforce and is insane, stride might be better for sticking to the enemy though. The games I played with tforce I was pretty ahead so I did insane damage and didn't need the sticiking power of stride
I think that Triforce wasn’t as good on rek sai due to her relatively low base AD which Triforce does damage off of.

Sorry guys, not freelo. Stick with the OP / S+ tier picks for top lane if you want a main.
The problem is that Rek'Sai struggles in just so many matchups and you are not supposed to teamfight anyways so.. tier B+ at most (very situational).
Good players will zone you out of the wave so you can't abuse burrow's healing passive to even out losing trades -- keep in mind that champs that counter Rek'Sai generally either stomp her in short/long trades or just kite her to death so good luck touching the wave in Plat+.
That translates to: feast or famine -- you MUST know the enemy pick before going Rek'Sai or you will regret it and feel like a silly duck for 30ish minutes.
It works great as a niche pick for annoying champions like Ornn, Aatrox and Illaoi though.
Just make sure to take grasp for Ornn.
The key is to stay longer in lane, take plates and just abuse the sustain / item lead to take enemy jungle camps, ambush or simply force the enemy team to rotate. She does fall off terribly late game so remember the price you're paying for the splitpushing steroid.
