I agree the weather in Canada is so bad when I ride the winter a have to put 2 sweaters on and a winter jackets plus a pair of leggings under my beeches!
I used to do horse riding and wish I could still do horse riding but with my injured hips I can’t and been not able to do horse riding for so long but your channel and videos giving me hope that just enough confidence and help will get me there again
I went riding with my twin on Wednesday at the new stable and the lesson went really well for both of us😍I loved it🐴 It was probably the best lesson ever
Ahhhh so nice to see you improve more and more every video!! I am starting lessons again after YEARS of not taking any due to college. I am very excited, your videos really motivate me!
Couple questions you could answer: Do you prefer mares or geldings? What got you into horse riding? Favorite horse breed or stream horse breed to would own? Awesome video as usual :)
ahaha im finally wearing long sleves to ride as well! its okay though autumn hacks are the best! dont worry we all have that one horse who we love but don't want to ride. what i will say about the stirrups is to imaging yourself wrapping your legs around the horse (imaging you are trying to get your heels to touch under the horse, like the girth) and opening your knee will really help. anyways your seat is getting so good keep up the amazing work!
It has been great watching your lessons as I am on about the same stage as you in my riding journey. One thing I do to help my toes from pointing outwards is to ensure my hip joints are rotated inwards ( you can do this by pulling the fleshy part of your thigh to the outside of your leg) effectively letting the inside of your thigh sitting flat on the saddle) You can also do exercises off the saddle to help you hips joints to rotate inwards.
I love watching your vids as they rlly help me have confidence when I ride and I have started cantering alone too! Daisy is so adorable lol One tip when leading don’t look at the horse, it’s a sign of aggression in the wild and they won’t want to follow you, but u barely did it anyway lol. Your videos are amazing though and your canter seat is much better than mine!
Well done with your stirrups! There's something so cosy about finishing your lesson in the dark to me lol, then again winter in Ireland is a lot milder in comparison to Canada!😆 How much time do you spend at the barn before/after your lessons? It's really nice how you can spend that extra time with the horses!
I wouldn’t mind it so much if the bugs weren’t so bad!!! They’ll be gone soon enough tho. I have to admit I’m excited for sweater riding but that means winter is on its way which is depressing lol I’ll answer the question in an upcoming q&a 😇
Congrats on not losing your stirrups! I wish it would cool of where I live but it’s still in the 90’s! Hopefully some of that coolness will come down to Florida lol! 😂
Im so happy cantered fully without lossing your sturrups! ❤❤❤ Here is a few Q&A questions! One- How long have you been riding Two- If your ok with sharing what barn do you ride at?
This is just a tip:) but to help you sit better in canter act like there’s a 20 dollar bill under your butt that you have got to not let slip and fly away, but if you trainer has told you it do it that way go ahead!:) this is just a little tip that I know😅
Thanks for the tip!!! Yes I definitely try to keep my bum from coming off the saddle in canter But I think I’ve been focusing on keeping my stirrups so much that I’ve forgotten about my seat 🙈 that’s my next goal is to improve my seat! Hahah
@@RidewithClara np! But also along with that tip that helped me is when I first started cantering I had to much tension so I like to thing of just sinking into the saddle and going with the flow of the horse (which can be harder and bouncier canters) But I’m glad to see how much you have improved!:)
I’ve seen you grow a lot in such a small amount of time! I did say i would film a video riding and posting it on my channel, although since i almost broke my collarbone, i can only ride kinda in January/february and i will be switching stables. I love your content and i hope you will remember me as one of the first people to follow your progress and i hope you will follow mine aswell! You’re such a sweetie and i wanted to ask. How often do you take lessons?
Omg that’s awful!!! I’m so sorry to hear that, and I hope you’re ok and can get back to riding soon ❤️ I’ll answer this question in a q&a in one of my upcoming videos !! 😇
Also tip don’t hold the rains when mounting some times it can give the horse a wrong signal and sometimes it can put stress on there bit but it’s not a big thing just something that you can work on if you want ❤ also your looking great on daisy
Great job with your stirrups! I told ya it’s only a matter of time! But also keep in mind it could happen again, when going over a jump (or something) but you’ll have so much experience on staying balanced and grabbing them back!!! 😊
Thanks for the question! I’ll answer in the q&a 😊 Yeaahh you’re probably right!! I’ll be sad when it happens again but it’s all a part of learning to ride! 🥰
I agree the weather in Canada is so bad when I ride the winter a have to put 2 sweaters on and a winter jackets plus a pair of leggings under my beeches!
And then you get all sweaty and you’re too warm, until it’s time to cool out and you’re freezing again 😂

Thanks for the question ! I’ll answer in a q&a 😇
At my barn we dont have an indoor, so were casually cantering freezing to death in 16 degrees F
That sounds AWFUL 😂
Dora is a-dora-ble 😅🤭😎
Edit- I had to I’m so sorry 🤣
Omg I LOVE that 😂😍
How long have you been riding???❤
I’m going to answer this in question in a q&a in my next video!
Horses have been our tractors for 6000 years. Now they're our pets and companions.
It’s interesting how it’s evolved ☺️
When it rains before my lesson we are not allowed riding outside unless there's someone else in the Indore arena
Yeah typically we aren’t either! This was already a day or two after the rain
I’m also located in canada and I am so not ready for winter riding especially for the numb feet and fingers 😟😟
It’s coming up so fast 😭
I do have to deal with that I’m a horse back rider and it really cold in the winter
It’s brutal!! Haha
@@RidewithClara yeah it is
Qa:How many months/time till you started cantering x
Thanks for the question!!
Can you do a video showing your sitting trot only
We don’t typically do sitting trot only during our lessons but in my previous video from this one I have some clips of me doing sitting trot 😊
Where you born and raised in Canada? Have you ever ridden in the states?
Great job with your stirrups! I told ya it’s only a matter of time!
But also keep in mind it could happen again, when going over a jump (or something) but you’ll have so much experience on staying balanced and grabbing them back!!! 😊
