Her face bought back a memory of my first dark skinned baby my godmother gave my mom from one of her vacation trips in Europe alongside a Hummel vinyl doll when I was just 8 months old. Perhaps she was from Spain or a Schildkröte from Germany. Her hair was molded tiny tight ringlets. Interesting how the baby face mold esthetic differs from country to country.

Nines sells wholesale to smaller doll shops, which is probably what Mary Shortle is. All of the Nines dolls that I have seen, are more along the PLAY DOLL line.
I belong to a doll chat board, that has a few members that are so in love with their MIA dolls.. They are cute, but more along the lines for a beginner collector.
You lucked out in that you got one with that sculpted hair, so she is probably one of their BEST, if not the BEST, from that company that I have seen thus far.
I would love to find that head on an "American Girl" style body, for my collection. Now you have me off searching Etsy for such a thing. LOL

Very pretty hair! Weird they’d send a pacifier that doesn’t even look real if it doesn’t actually fit the doll …. I do like the matching fabric tied to it though
Hello, I have the same exact doll and I love the vanilla smell she emits. It does not go away, which is nice. I have modified mine somewhat. I did put a different body on her. A small body for three-quarter arms and three-quarter legs, and what a difference it makes! She is much more possible and the cuddle factor is just wonderful! I did weight her a Little bit to my liking. I purchased mine off of eBay, and she came brand new! I think I got her at a really good deal. If you want me to send you pictures of mine, just let me know. I have been in the reborn dolls for a year now, but I do not have a TH-cam channel,… Yet. Sometime in the near future, I hope. She is very cute, however, what baby has enough hair to braid??? Its beautifully done, just doesnt make sense for a newborn?
