I know this is an old af comment, but as someone who just discovered and became obsessed with Valkyrien Skies, and went looking for airship builds to fly: this one works really well with the mod! Just replace all the wool with balloons (and perhaps some of the smokers in the lower hold with engines, for speed) and she flies like a dream~

If you prefer something smaller and easier to build, I have videos on my channel like the "Viking Hut" and "Villager Outpost." They use simple materials, and I've listed them in the video. I hope you find something that suits your needs!

As awesome as the build is, that is not a freakin starter base, looks a bit big and made up of quite the materials in my opinion
