I am a Christian author who has written several free books. I have done an extensive research in the bible concerning tithing and I can confirm that what the Evangelist is saying is true. However he did not state how to pay the tithes to Melchizedek (Jesus Christ) who is now our high priest. Abraham paid his 10% to Melchizedek himself in person. Since Jesus/Melchizedek is no more on earth to receive our tithes, who do we give it to? The evangelist mentioned that he used his tithes to buy canopies for the church. Similarly we can use 10% of our incomes to support the work of God especially concerning giving to the poor and needy.
I will entreat everyone here to know this. What you believe is what makes you. But at the end of the day , your account on your believe will be either a late regretful thought or a happy and proud thought. Now , if you think tithing is no more , it's your belief , if you think its youthful so be it. The doctrines that we've been thought from infancy is not easy to be changed from , #but if anyone needs understanding and a true insight about some of these critical and sensitive issue , you mustn't forsake the Holy spirit.

But as a servant of the most high God who's examined the Scriptures critically, Tithes are not required under this dispensation of Grace. The priesthood is not in existence anymore, and tithing was farm produce and animals. It was never money. The apostles of the early church never ask the early Christians to tithe. Tithing is an old tradition of the Jews, and the Jewish people don't even tithe anymore. We are required to give as we've decided in our hearts, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
