Just returned 10 days ago from the Jade. Cruised from Boston to Maritimes of Canada. Itinerary was terrific. This was my second cruise on NCL. Seattle to Alaska on the Bliss last week of April. That experience has set the bar very high. The Jade was ok. The staff were wonderful and service offered was impeccable. Those crew members are the hardest working people and I appreciated everything they did for me. I was in room 11034. This was the squeakiest and noisy room. Two pieces of shim had been hammered between the ceiling and paneling to maybe remedy the constant noise when we were at sea. Every nite I slept with earplugs and my iPad on a white noise setting on the pillow next to my head. It was awful. I suggest the captain of this ship spend a nite in the bed in this cabin. Lumpy, slanting …even with three mattress pads and a pretty thick egg crate foam topper still very uncomfortable. Every morning in the buffet to get soy milk for my granola and the bowl of walnuts hidden away from the general public was just a pain… one morning I stood there 20 minutes waiting for these two items. I am a solo traveler and I spent a lot of money for my room just to get a balcony. When booking I was concerned about the location above me …it was where the tables and chairs around the pool were. Every nite around 9:30 and every morning at about 5:30 I was awakened with the scraping of them being moved around. I was really annoyed cause when I figured out after booking that was above me I called to try and move my room and the agent said no complaints had ever been documented about any noise. If you go on this ship don’t stay in this room. Also a tub mat would have been helpful…very slippery surface of tub.
😂😭😂Bahaha... "Unlike some other cruise lines, where bacon is NOT served every day"! I am on Carnival Liberty this week and bacon was NOT available today! Those fruit carvings are VERY nice. I love seeing those extra touches! I LOVE that quiet zone. Surprised you didn't stay up there at all. That would have been my hangout on a sea day. Looks heavenly! Great video. Awesome job! Thanks for sharing. I hope I get to sail on this ship someday now that you have shown this tour. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Yes, Carnival is one that doesn't do bacon every day. NCL did have it every day. The Jade is in like new condition and I liked it a little more over the Gem. I just put out the Gem video last week. Hope you get to cruise on them soon!
I sailed on the Jade back in January for 11 days and really liked this ship. I had a solo balcony cabin. This ship handled the rough Caribbean Seas well on the return from Curaçao to Tampa well. I thought the food on the Jade was very good; even though the Jade ran out of breakfast sausage on day 8. The Indian food on the Jade was so so compared to what my co-workers make. For cruise ship Indian food, the Celebrity Summit offered a wide variety and excellent tasting Indian food. The best feature of I found on the three Norwegian Cruise ships I have sailed on (Sky, Jade and Star) is the walk around out door promenade, Celebrity Summit did not have this. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Nice video 👍
