mmmmmmmm I toast them in the fireplace, is such a nice treat, In Catalonia where I grew up when a child we could buy them on the street during fall, now in Finland, I need to cook them myself but is worth it.

I would love to grow a few chestnut trees. I live in zone 5. Anyone know what the best one to grow for me would be?

      Issac Newton
Grow the Auburn Hybrids. They are proven mass producers from university trials from Florida to Missouri. They have weeping branches under load, so I don't think snow would be a problem. Plant chestnut trees high and dry, avoid moisture retentive soils at all cost.

I’m lucky enough to still have one of the few remaining American chestnut trees that wasn’t decimated by the blight 100 years ago. There’s a small isolated patch of them here in the middle of North Carolina.

chestnuts absolutely ARE nuts. straight nutty to say they're grains. grains are also all monocots. i'm speaking technically of course, i guess you can say whatever you want. brown rice is not even close to nutritious as a chestnut, to further illustrate the nuttieness of the analogy. i can't even finish watching because that's such an absurd premise to lead with. fact check your videos and edit so you don't make your guests look foolish
