I live hearing him speak so passionately about business and how he thinks about things! He's not just sex and I really hope people get to start seeing that more.
I agree!! There's so many songs on each album that spoke about love and relationships, break ups and make ups but they weren't highlighted anywhere near as much as the sexual songs. There's love songs from Trey Day & PPP that ppl are just now finding out about and falling in love with!
Enjoy every interview this man is a part of. Very passionate, intelligent, and motivated. Great qualities for an amazing man. Big ups to you Mr. Trey songz. And keep bringing that awesome music to us ( the world). So proud of this guy.
This was a great interview as usual for Sway, but I like seeing this side of Trey instead of the constant sex symbol thing. I'm really interested in this album now, Ready was my fave though and I loved yo side of the bed!
What's up Sway! #BayArea #BayLove Lol at 11:19 to 11:27. I will say that it is a refreshing change to see/hear Trey in an interview that's not overly sexual. I used to be like dang is that all he has to offer? I'm a fan & have purchased all 5 of his past albums as well as Inevitable just to support but I will say I was highly disappointed in the last 2 where there were only a few good songs & the rest of the CD had to be skipped. I miss the soulfulness in his voice, hell the r&b in it. I think that Ready has been his biggest album to date as far as the quality of the product. I can play it thru w/ no skips & I LOVE YO SIDE OF THE BED & ONE LOVE. Sorry to say but his Anticipation & Anticipation 2 mix tapes were way BETTER than PPP & Chapter 5. I would've paid for those & preferred the others be free. How are ur mix tapes BETTER THAN UR ALBUMS THO?! I hope this album comes w/ it & does well for him. I wanna see him be great!!
I so desperately want to see him excel on all he does too!! 🙏 I love his mixtapes more than the studio albums as well. Most of us do lol. But most artists have mixtapes that are better than their actual studio albums because they have full creative control. They can do what they want and it's usually done specifically for their core fan base because they know what we like to hear from them. Studio albums are a whole different story cause at some point the artist usually has to compromise before that album is released, whether it be content, delivery, marketing, etc. Trey knows what we want from him and when the record label doesn't allow for it, we end up with Anticipations and LemmeHolDatBeats in between albums. This time he hasn't dropped a mixtape before the album so it felt a little weird to me LMAO!
I don't see any current R&B artist selling 10 million records of one album. Especially not Trey Songz. He's not that big. Music is in a different place. Usher's Confessions was the last huge R&B album. That was over ten years ago.
I likw trey but I think for him, his situation, ready was his confessions. I'm not sure if hell get any bigger or better than he is now, think he's capped
know if you are interested in a few days and I don't want you to come in at school tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'm gonna be me but I didn't know if we could get a copy of a meeting at school and I are going to have a good time
Man in my opinion Ready was way too corny and commercial. I like his Anticipation mixtapes the most but Trigga is sounding very promising. Also this was a great interview, more like a discussion actually man to man :)
I agree about Ready sounding the most commercial. It's the least of my favorites compared to the other albums. I do like it though but never fell all the way in love with it. PPP has some of the soul of I Gotta make It to me but it came so soon after Ready. Chapter V is easily one of my fave albums from Trey so far. Vocally it's some of his best work. Pretty Girl's Lie, Forever Yours, Without A Woman & Almost Lose It should've been singles, IMO. Those were amazing records! I'm loving TRIGGA so far though!!!! And the Anticipation & LemmeHolDatBeat mixtapes are some of the best mixtapes I've heard from an artist period lol!! They would've been AWESOME as albums!!
LaTosha King Yea I agree Chapter V is my fav of his studio albums, and both Anticipations for me are just albums he released for free; cos they're deffs album quality! but Trigga is sounding like it will be the best ;)
I wish the best for him, he seems like a good guy, but he'll never reach the heights of confessions, I hope he do though, hell I don't see any r&b artist doing what usher did, frank ocean might be there one day but I can't see anyone else so far
So I love trey songz but I don't think he gone have a "confession" until he reconnects with rkelly with a album produced completely by rkelly. I think it would be a classic album if it happens.
I likw trey but I think for him, his situation, ready was his confessions. I'm not sure if hell get any bigger or better than he is now, think he's capped
MelonMan96 I did like ready, I think passion pain pleasure was rushed and forced trying to ride of the success of ready and chapter 5 just didn't cut it for me lol but that's not to say they didn't hv a few album cuts that were bomb. Honestly now that I think about his mix tapes were better than the album's.
chasity michelle vinson Personally I think Chapter V is the best studio album...So far. But yea I definitely like anticipation 1&2 more than any album he's ever done. I think ready was ALL for the ladies and had nothing for the guys which is why I don't really like it but on anticipation he can still sing to the chicks but guys can listen and say yeah that's exactly what I'm thinking/feeling right now too so he gets both audiences. Plus he sings better on them

i agree with you, after Ready he hasnt put out a great album. Anticipation 1 & 2 were great mixtapes that shouldv'e been albums
Enjoy every interview this man is a part of. Very passionate, intelligent, and motivated. Great qualities for an amazing man. Big ups to you Mr. Trey songz. And keep bringing that awesome music to us ( the world). So proud of this guy.
I still think the anticipation 2 mixtape should have been an album
His best project i think
KEVIN NEWBOLD agreed!
This was a great interview as usual for Sway, but I like seeing this side of Trey instead of the constant sex symbol thing. I'm really interested in this album now, Ready was my fave though and I loved yo side of the bed!
Awesome Interview !!!!!
Sway with the awesome natural auto- tune voice lol
I just love Trey! I can't wait for Trigga!!! 7/1/14

Keon Allums shirts with pockets have existed for years now lol just sayin
Teammm yayaya,,,,i want his hoodie!!!
I likw trey but I think for him, his situation, ready was his confessions. I'm not sure if hell get any bigger or better than he is now, think he's capped
Sway that nigga
know if you are interested in a few days and I don't want you to come in at school tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'm gonna be me but I didn't know if we could get a copy of a meeting at school and I are going to have a good time

She start telling me how I'll never be as big as Trey Songz, boy was she wrong..
Why in the beginning did trey have a altitude
♥️♥️♥️♥️
I wish the best for him, he seems like a good guy, but he'll never reach the heights of confessions, I hope he do though, hell I don't see any r&b artist doing what usher did, frank ocean might be there one day but I can't see anyone else so far
name of pants and hoodie!?
Shirt by contelle double quilted..... pants by hefty with zippers.......
Breezy Bugatti lmfao !!!
Breezy Bugatti kmsl!!
you cant compare trey songz to usher lol come on sway
So I love trey songz but I don't think he gone have a "confession" until he reconnects with rkelly with a album produced completely by rkelly. I think it would be a classic album if it happens.
No disrespect... I'm a trey fan... But Usher is a different animal... And most importantly, he's a MUCH better singer...
Ya right and Usher is a better performer! In the category as MJ. Trey is like a Teddy Pendergrass lol
Jamal Wallace Agreed!!!!
I agree. he needs to mesh with kellz and make a classic. Ready was his only great work
I see no lies!
:-) Trigga
I likw trey but I think for him, his situation, ready was his confessions. I'm not sure if hell get any bigger or better than he is now, think he's capped
Ready was so average, everything he's put out since then has been better than it.
But I get that in your opinion you like Ready :)
MelonMan96 I did like ready, I think passion pain pleasure was rushed and forced trying to ride of the success of ready and chapter 5 just didn't cut it for me lol but that's not to say they didn't hv a few album cuts that were bomb. Yessss I def agree on that MelonMan96
chasity michelle vinson My favorites are 'Anticipation 1 and 2' and 'Passion Pain and Pleasure'
I hope TRIGGA is good though, it sounds good so far
