Wow, great video guys, we were just in ND two weeks ago! We grew up in ND and also had issues with the whole "sacagawea" vs "sakakawea" pronunciation when we lived on the East Coast. The best answer we have heard is that sacagawea came from Meriwether Lewis's journals from the expedition (he spelled her name four different ways) and this spelling is what was taught in most schools but the Hidatsa and Mandan Native Americans actually pronounce it sakakawea which is why there is Lake Sakakawea in ND as this is a more accurate translation of her name from the original native language. - Jenny and Lance
Thank you so much for providing more insight into this! We cannot tell you how much time we spent online trying to figure this out and the anxiety we had about seeming disrespectful 😅
Another great video. My wife and I love how much research you do on the places you visit. We also love the format of adventure, food and history. Keep up the great work. And we hope this new career choice is working out well so far.
I live in Dickinson...when my late husband moved me here in 2015 he made sure to be at the painted canyons right at sunset on the way so I would fall in love with ND. It was red/orange and one of the most gorgeous places ever. Red Rocks concert venue outside Denver is like that, too...
You guys are just pump up my last year memory.. we visited South Dakota last year june. Couldn't manage time for North Dakota though. You are giving us the target to visit North Dakota as well..The wall arts; love them..
So awesome to tune in and see you in ‘my back yard’! Hopefully some day you can come again when the drought is gone and the visibility is good. You really need to visit Fort Lincoln State park if you haven’t, so much history there. Thanks for visiting ND!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK On your way back through you MUST try a caramel roll! They are to die for. I can't understand why it's not found all around the country because they are so good. Just remember it's pronounce car mel here and not care a mel.
Dang cool video , Im from NW North Dakota lived here all my life. Alot of people think it's boring here but you just have to find things to do . From town 150 people and live couple miles out of town, really peaceful.
What a great video full of history (love those women made earth lodges!), the scotcheroos look and sound so delicious, not to mention those cinnamon and butter treats you made too! 😋 The scenery is just gorgeous and the bison are real characters…from just strolling sloooowly and the road to rolling in the grass! 🤣 Oh, and I cannot forget the murals and you all in the Mario one made me smile BIG! Love seeing your personalities really come out!
Just found your channel, love how you mix history and the scenery together, plus trying some local foods. This is how I like to travel too. I grew up eating Lefse, and when i have to explain it to people i call it Swedish tortillas 🤣 you ate it the best way possible.
So glad I found your Dakotas videos. I'm planning a two week trip to the Dakotas for next years, which are the last two of the lower 48 states that I haven't been to.
I love your videos. We are actually about to take a road trip in the opposite direction of yours. From Michigan to Montana/Wyoming via North Dakota and Theodore Roosevelt. We were going to Theodore Roosevelt and North Dakota because we have never been to those places (as opposed to South Dakota/Black Hills where we have previously visited). I am even looking more forward to that part of the trip now after watching your video! As for the smoke - we are having overcast days from the smoke even as far east as here in Michigan. Those fires must be terrible. Enjoy Lake Superior - it is incredibly beautiful.
So great! What were you and T.R. talking about Adam :) ? I know I'm probably a broken record but maybe new folks who read the comments will appreciate the fact that I love the mix of nature, history, culture food and heart your channel provides. No matter my mood, I am always smiling and inspired after watching you all adventuring around our beautiful country
I have fond memories of going to Theodore national park on field trips as a kid! It was fun to see it again. ❤️ Also, thank you for saying bison and not buffalo! 🤣
Another exceptional video!! And who the heck is giving u folks thumbs down?!!!! Love ur content and your vlogging style! Very easy to watch and never boring!

SWEET! I've been to 'Devils Tower' but that's the extent of my sightseeing in the Dakotas. I ran a route, for several years, delivering brown-n-serve rolls (3300 cases per trailer) to a freezer in FARGO. The only place I ever got a ticket in 20 years of trucking. If I ever make it to the 'Going to the Sun Road' I will check out the badlands and those Scotcharoos. You have to drive through OGALALA!
Greetings from North Dakota! Born and raised. Been to Medora multiple times and the Medora Musical is by far my fav! Lefsa-yes please! But I like mine with just butter and sugar. You really should have tried lutafisk with your legs for a true Norwegian experience. Fun fact-many churches around the state will put on a lutafisk (cod soaked in lye) and lefsa feed one time per year. Ours is a family Christmas tradition of lutafisk and lefsa for Christmas eve dinner, dating back to before I was even born. Thanks for visiting our state and come back again!
You're heading into my neck of the woods . . . Minnesota! We just got back from the North Shore! I highly recommend, if you have time, to head to Grand Portage, MN and hike to High Falls (tallest waterfall in MN) and Middle Falls along the Pigeon River - the international border separating Canada and the United States. I also recommend you hike Mount Josephine in Grand Portage for an overlook of Lake Superior, Canada, the Susie Islands, and Isle Royale National Park. Be sure to stop off at Gooseberry Falls State Park, Tettegouche State Park, Temperance State Park, and, of course, Grand Marais, along your journey.
We were just there! We have been travelling to Glacier, but stopping at a lot of places you have recommended, Pella IA, Sioux Falls, Porter Sculpture Garden, The Badlands, Rapid City, Spearfish Canyon. We took a drive up to Theodore Roosevelt NP Thursday, but had a run in with a deer on the way back to Deadwood. So, now we're finishing our trip with a rental car.
As usual you both do a great job documenting these wonderful places. My wife and I are headed to S Dakota in April. Just watched your video on custer and all surrounding area's. That state park is off the charts. You enspired my whole family to see it. Thanks for doing what you do !
Hey Jeff! That's so awesome to hear! S Dakota is such a cool state. Custer beats some of the national parks in our eyes! Check out our website also...we've got a few guides with itineraries and more things to do. We hope y'all have a great trip!
Need to check out the National Park. I missed the art alley in Fargo but did see one in Rapid City, so cool! We did eat at Wurst Bier Hall and LOVED the food there! Hope while you're in Minnesota you get to "walk" across the Mississippi River. I did! Have fun!
I think Kona was the best attraction in North Dakota...lol loved 😍 her running on that grass. Happy Thanksgiving guys hope ❤ you enjoy holiday weekend 😉
I have 5 dogs from a boxer to a Yorkie. My favorite walking buddy is max my 30lb schnauzer. Like Kona , Max loves exercise 👍 Just bought a RAV4 Can't wait to hit some of the parks you've done this spring.
Enjoyed the video! It was so colorful, lol! Have not been to ND yet so definitely looking forward to it sometime down the road! The food you chose to share with us looked delicious! I always love your coffee stops!
I remember that cow sculpture! 1st drive across I94 was in the bleak of winter in the 90's. Looking forward to your further adventures from the shores of Gitchee Gumee.
Thanks for the City Name Mural info!! We always like to find those too! Will have to check out their website! Loved following along your North Dakota adventure!!!!🥰
Nice video, you do a great job of integrating in the popular foods for each area, besides the hiking and touring the popular sites. I would have never known about Lefse or the soup that you had. I like the shots of the bisons and prairie dogs as well, have never been to North Dakota, but have visited Teddy Roosevelts home in Oyster Bay, NY on Long Island. Keep up the good work!
Great vid as usual. Fargo has a lot to offer...glad you got to at least get a taste of it. And it's really surreal to see that you're headed to home territory and the North Shore!
We were just there July 22nd to 24th. One of the most underrated National Parks. We did the North Unit as well and both units are just gorgeous. Enjoyed Medora and the ice cream shop there.
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'm pretty sure that you guys will enjoy the North Unit. For me, both are just as beautiful as the other and are definitely worth checking out.
This was yet another amazing vlog guys! You guys are so excited and passionate about every place you visit! Your trips are so well researched and so educational because of it! You’ve always got me drooling with your food experiences! Also the sequence you did at the Mario mural was awesome! 😁😂
Just found your channel when googling North Dakota for a trip we plan to do this summer. I like the way you present historical and other details about the places you are visiting. . Looking forward to watching more!
We did have a pretty bad grass fires around when your were here. Smoke could have been from that as well. Especially with it being so flat, there’s nothing to stop it
This is awesome! One cool fact about the top of floor of the capital is all wicker furniture there is almost 100 years old! Gramma Val’s are the best! Wish I could’ve met you all! I live here in Bismarck.
Haha! Awesome name for that coffee shop. Maybe there is a clan of North Dakota Youngbloods that I was never told about. Great video of your travels across ND. This state always seems to get downplayed but nice work showing that it has great things to offer. Enjoyed your selection of activities and great work on pulling this edit together. We did a Dakotas Vacation in 2017 but primarily focused on TRNP when in North Dakota. We all enjoyed the park greatly and thought it was really underrated. Spent two full days there, one for the North Unit and one for the South Unit. It was insanely hot though, so we couldn’t hike much. However, this trip had one of my favorite campsites ever. It was a walk-in site and was right of the banks of the Little Missouri River and across the river was a wall of the Badlands. We even had a solitary bison stroll within feet of our tent at like 5 am.
North Dakota was awesome! Those Youngbloods know what they're doing with the coffee! Oh ya it can get super warm up there! That campsite sounds pretty epic! Thanks, Michael!
My mother used to make a gooey Rice Crispy-type dessert -- and 55 years later I learned they are called Scotcheroos! When we spent the night in Fargo nearly 20 years ago en route to the Black Hills, we really enjoyed the Roger Maris Museum located in a local shopping mall. We hope to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park (along with Glacier) in Sept 2023.
Fascinating to see as my experience in North Dakota was just a drive across I-94 trying to cross the country from west to east during a move. Didn't have time to stop at all other than gassing up the car. From what I saw it appears pretty but yeah... don't know much about it apart from some old photos and stories of winters when my parents lived there a short time.
Love your unique travel blog. You did North Dakota very well! As a resident of ND even I learned somethin about this state. When you visit the North Shores of Lake Superior I hope the ashes from of Canada and the Western fires will be lifted and you can enjoy the lakes beauty.
We’re just about to cross the Dakotas in our six-week-old LTV! Thanks for the great suggestions… we will hit a few of them, but especially the Knife River Indian Village! Oh, happy retirement after 50 years nonstop!
I stayed at the north unit of TR last month. Bison herds everywhere, including the campground. Also, small herd of free running longhorns who are said to like their heads scratched. Drove south unit, but didn't enjoy as much.
Hey y'all, we just came across your channel! We can't wait to visit North Dakota someday! We have never heard of a scotcharoos! They sound really good! Thanks for sharing! ~ Shion and Matthew
You guys do a great job with your videos which definitely help give me ideas and plan our trips. We went to North Dakota/South Dakota in April and had a great time. I used your South Dakota videos to help with planning the trip. Checking out the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt NP is worth the trip, Caprock Coulee Loop is a great hike. We just beat the fire closure they had on April 3rd by a few hours. Hiking up the high point of North Dakota at White Butte is also worth the drive. Up to 11 High Points so far including N and S Dakota. Looking forward to where you choose to check out in our area on the East Coast.
@@AdventuresofAplusK 👍 We also took your recommendation to eat at the Black Hills Burger & Bun Co. in Custer. We ate there twice and my wife got the The Black Hills Burger both times. Great suggestion!

Thanks also for the tips on Duluth, we go there often but have never been to OMC smokehouse, will definitely be checking that out in a couple of weeks!! Keep up the great work!!
We just spent the night in Bismarck, went to the Painted Canyon Overlook AND stopped and got a scotcharoo...however my friend makes them and always called them peanut butter chocolate bars lol! Either way...SO GOOD!!🤩😍
Glad to see you in my home of Fargo, eating my fave lefse,Freddy's!It is best when you buy it fresh in West Fargo and add margarine or butter and use plenty of regular sugar. Fresh is best!
We were here in May but the Canadian wildfires made it all Smokey. Just a warning for others to be careful of the ticks. Our daughter got Rocky Mountain fever from this park from one of the hiking trails. Thanks for sharing this park.
If you guys make it to Michigan I recommend a few things.. most importantly get a Pastie at Jean Kay’s in Marquette or Lehtos around the bridge. Make sure you go to Marquette for a day and drive presque isle city park and climb hogs back. Go to Pictured Rocks and do the Chapel Loop. Also if you have time head up into the Keweenaw. Lived in Michigan my whole life and those are the must do’s.
Also from Michigan! Make sure you explore the LP too. Traverse City, Sleeping Bear, Leelanau, Grand Rapids... all beautiful areas. Detroit is really neat and is experiencing a lot of urban revival. Skip the Flint area and don’t be suckered into the thumb- I promise you, turnip rock is a letdown. Ann Arbor is also a cool city area. So excited to see you show our beautiful state. Michigan gets a bad rap but it has a lot to offer!
Great video, the soup look and sounded delish and I know that I would love the butter and brown sugar lefse! One of my grandmothers family came from Finland and she would make a brown sugar sandwich every once in a while for me and me sister. I wonder if brown sugar on bread or rolled up in a lefse is a Nordic thing? Can't wait for the Minnesota vlog but really looking forward to see what you guys do in my home state of Michigan. Safe travels.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park is really neat. When we were there it absolutely poured and rivers of mud were flowing everywhere lol. Fargo looked really cool! We only spent the night there going through and it was so windy. I think we'll have to go back and check it out more!
So cool that y'all got to see my home state!!! I live about 30 miles from Grand Forks which is about an hour and a half from Fargo. Btw, that green Fargo sign you showed us is the classic Fargo sign that everybody sees. Also, your dogs name, Kona is a classic North Dakota dog name. Here, our most popular dog names are Kona, Kota, Koda, and Dakota.
Was up Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Colorado area July to a couple days into August. The smoke was crazy. Had a lot of good viewing in Wisconsin till the day we left. Then had smoke till pretty much getting to the Badlands
Great video guy!! I wished now we would have went to North Dakota when we went on our South Dakota trip. Oh well guess that just means we will have to go again sometime!😄
Came across your channel not to long ago, very cool stuff. One of the better travel videos. Kinda cool your coming to Michigan. I live west of Detroit, going to Holland 24th for a few days, very cool. Hint: in Sagatuck theres a "hidden lake front beach" you have to hike a mile to get to it.
@@AdventuresofAplusK for hiking only, Pancratz definitely. The hiking/biking trail is Maah Daah Hey trail. It is 50 miles long and connects the north and south unit. There a National bike race every year where you go the entire length, 100 miles. Naturally called the Maah Daah Hey 100. Not for the average rider. 😳
There's a free Roger Maris museum in the West Acres Mall in Fargo if you guys come back and are interested in that, it's a wall of glass cases with memorabilia. You also showed one of the sculptures from the Enchanted Highway, those are really fun to follow down to Regent! Fisherman's Dream is my favorite sculpture. The little village in Jamestown where the buffalo is is nice (we were there in -20 weather and it was closed lol). Jamestown is also the hometown of Louis L'Amour, a famous author of Western-type novels.
We wondered what that sculpture was for! We saw signs for the Enchanted Highway and wish we could've stopped this time. We love sculptures and finding art in random places!
@@AdventuresofAplusK It's neat if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip! There's a place called Black Butte nearby, where we saw a herd of about 100 whitetail deer, I'd never seen that many before - but it's in the middle of nowhere lol

Thank you so much Brent! It has been pretty hectic since I quit my job, not gonna lie, but thankful we can fully focus on this now!
The. “GREETINGS FROM” mural is so cool, I’ll have to look where these are located on future trips
They are the best!!! Always so much fun to photograph. We have seen El Paso, Seattle, Tucson, and Moab, with many more to go!
I live in Dickinson...when my late husband moved me here in 2015 he made sure to be at the painted canyons right at sunset on the way so I would fall in love with ND. It was red/orange and one of the most gorgeous places ever. Red Rocks concert venue outside Denver is like that, too...
The sunset there is amazing!!! Well, not this time, but the trip before haha
You guys are just pump up my last year memory.. we visited South Dakota last year june. Couldn't manage time for North Dakota though. You are giving us the target to visit North Dakota as well..The wall arts; love them..
It's definitely worth a visit. There is a lot we had to miss, like the North Unit of TRNP, which we hear is beautiful!
@@AdventuresofAplusK The Petrified Forest in TRNP is also amazing!
So awesome to tune in and see you in ‘my back yard’! Hopefully some day you can come again when the drought is gone and the visibility is good. You really need to visit Fort Lincoln State park if you haven’t, so much history there. Thanks for visiting ND!!
We will be back! And we almost went there, but opted for Knife River since Fort Lincoln was going to take us too long to properly explore!
We believe every place has cool spots to explore!
This video is perfectly timed for me! I’ll be visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park in a couple weeks! Thanks for the preview!
We hope you have a great time and see lots of bison! 🦬
We LOVE seeing the bison roll in the grass! So funny! And that Mario mural was a blast 😂
You two are putting some miles on that van ! I'm amazed at your energy and enthusiasm ..... so nice :-)
After not driving a ton in Utah and Colorado, the van is being put to work the rest of the year!
Just found your channel, love how you mix history and the scenery together, plus trying some local foods. This is how I like to travel too. I grew up eating Lefse, and when i have to explain it to people i call it Swedish tortillas 🤣 you ate it the best way possible.
Hi Monica! So glad you love the mix of things we try to include! Very happy we didn’t totally butcher lefse!
Love the Greetings From murals, gotta get my hands on a scotcheroo! Enjoyed your video, as always.
They are the best murals! 😍
Hello - find the Scotcheroos by Gramma Val page on Facebook and we can possibly make that happen 😎
Had absolutely ZERO clue Phil Jackson was from North Dakota 😂 Loved all the fun little facts of North Dakota and how beautiful it is ❤️
Us either! We learned so much in our few days in the state!
He was born in MT but grew up in Williston ND and went to the of Uinivesty of North Dakota.
So was Roger Maris
So glad I found your Dakotas videos. I'm planning a two week trip to the Dakotas for next years, which are the last two of the lower 48 states that I haven't been to.
So glad you found them too! We hope you enjoy them! They are both very different and have lots to see!
The smoke has been following us! We read it may die down a bit soon though...fingers crossed!
Love those Earth Lodges! Chicago's Field Museum had a reproduction Earth Lodge in their Native American History exhibit. They're such cool structures!
We loved seeing them! And loved learning more Native American history!
They had an inside joke! 😜 We love that mix as well, it's always our favorite to film! So glad you enjoy it too!
I have fond memories of going to Theodore national park on field trips as a kid! It was fun to see it again. ❤️
Also, thank you for saying bison and not buffalo! 🤣
Hahaha we got confused with the whole bison/Buffalo thing our first time at the tetons and try to say it right!
Another superb action and info. packed adventure.Love the way you both look so adoringly at each other when you talk.Precious💕
Hahahah it’s either stare at each other or stare into the camera awkwardly 😂
I’m from North Dakota cool too see people visiting here 🙂
We had a great time!
It's fun to see you trek through my area. I'm glad you were able to share this with others...the beauty of the area and the good people.
We had a great time!
Another exceptional video!! And who the heck is giving u folks thumbs down?!!!! Love ur content and your vlogging style! Very easy to watch and never boring!
It’ll always be a mystery why you’d downvote someone’s hard work, but thankful that the positivity outweighs the negativity!
@@AdventuresofAplusK The only thing I can think of is if someone posts about accessing an off limits area or promotes trespassing/illegal activity. But ur stuff is epic!! Keep em coming!
Totally, which we'd never do (and especially would never promote that haha)!
You 2 are sooo down to earth, my kind of people. Love your videos., very well done!! Always looking for the next one. Keep up the good work and stay healthy. Say hi to Kona for me.🐶
Thanks for the kind words John! Kona says woof!
Y’all’s videos r so incredibly thorough😲
We try our hardest to make them detailed!
Oh no! So glad we didn't have the same ticket bad luck there!
Devils Tower is in WY.
@@krismiller5126 was going to say the same thing. Not exactly in the dakotas.
We had wanted to try that as well! We will next time!
I’m very glad I found your channel; you guys do a great job of making us feel we are there with you. Thanks for the terrific videos.
Thanks for the kind words and watching!
We have a lot of this on the list! Unfortunately won't have time for it all, but excited for what we have seen and can do!
Stunning scenery, who are the people that say North Dakota is boring.Great film.
Thanks Mike! The smoke tried to hide it a bit, but it's a beautiful state!
Oh no! So sorry to hear that! We hope you’re okay.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thank you very much !
Need to check out the National Park. I missed the art alley in Fargo but did see one in Rapid City, so cool! We did eat at Wurst Bier Hall and LOVED the food there! Hope while you're in Minnesota you get to "walk" across the Mississippi River. I did! Have fun!
Wurst Bier Hall was such a cool spot!
I think Kona was the best attraction in North Dakota...lol loved 😍 her running on that grass. Happy Thanksgiving guys hope ❤ you enjoy holiday weekend 😉
She had a great time at the capital!
I have 5 dogs from a boxer to a Yorkie. My favorite walking buddy is max my 30lb schnauzer. Like Kona , Max loves exercise 👍 Just bought a RAV4 Can't wait to hit some of the parks you've done this spring.
Grandma Val lol - thx for doing a video on North Dakota. You two are so awesome and amazing. Thx for sharing your travels!
Grandma Val makes some top notch scotcheroos! Thanks, Brian!
Enjoyed the video! It was so colorful, lol! Have not been to ND yet so definitely looking forward to it sometime down the road! The food you chose to share with us looked delicious! I always love your coffee stops!
So many beautiful murals! There is a lot to see in ND and so much history!
Beautiful video and depiction of North Dakota! First time watcher and North Dakotan! Scotcharoos are life.😃
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I remember that cow sculpture! 1st drive across I94 was in the bleak of winter in the 90's. Looking forward to your further adventures from the shores of Gitchee Gumee.
Wow in the winter?! That sounds crazy!

Loved the Fargo segment. I spent four days there at the ND Stockmen’s convention in 1964. Fond memory for a SOCAL guy!
We really really enjoyed Fargo and ND!
Thanks a bunch Ron! Adam would love to visit Teddy’s home! We will have to add that to the list for next time we are in NY!
Great vid as usual. Fargo has a lot to offer...glad you got to at least get a taste of it. And it's really surreal to see that you're headed to home territory and the North Shore!
We hope we do your state proud Nate!
I am excited to hear you are coming to the Midwest. As a West Michigander, I hope you can enjoy what our part of the state has to offer.
We are excited to visit!
We were just there July 22nd to 24th. One of the most underrated National Parks. We did the North Unit as well and both units are just gorgeous. Enjoyed Medora and the ice cream shop there.
We heard that the North Unit is even prettier than the South, did you think that as well? We hope to check it out next time!

We did have a pretty bad grass fires around when your were here. Smoke could have been from that as well. Especially with it being so flat, there’s nothing to stop it
Thankfully it didn’t ruin our time!
Appreciate your video, and your respect to places , people, and history. Good luck A+K.
Watching you guys we get to know so many more places we would like to explore! Thanks!

This is awesome! One cool fact about the top of floor of the capital is all wicker furniture there is almost 100 years old! Gramma Val’s are the best! Wish I could’ve met you all! I live here in Bismarck.
That is awesome! We didn't know that!
So glad you've had these before, they are SO good!!! And TRNP is a great park, we really enjoy it!
Same here! My mom made these here in Kansas and I didn’t know they had an actual name!
We really enjoyed it, it's worth visiting and getting off the highway if you ever have time in the future!
@@AdventuresofAplusK We're based on the Southwest so not likely but who knows..! 😅
Love your unique travel blog. You did North Dakota very well! As a resident of ND even I learned somethin about this state.
When you visit the North Shores of Lake Superior I hope the ashes from of Canada and the Western fires will be lifted and you can enjoy the lakes beauty.
We’re so glad we could even teach a local something new! And we had some smoke, but it thankfully wasn’t as bad as it was in ND
We’re just about to cross the Dakotas in our six-week-old LTV! Thanks for the great suggestions… we will hit a few of them, but especially the Knife River Indian Village! Oh, happy retirement after 50 years nonstop!

Oh my! What a treat! Just discovered your channel and your featuring my state, North Dakota! New subscriber here for sure!
Hi Jody! Thanks so much for watching! We're glad to have you join our adventures ❤️
I stayed at the north unit of TR last month. Bison herds everywhere, including the campground. Also, small herd of free running longhorns who are said to like their heads scratched. Drove south unit, but didn't enjoy as much.
We heard from a ranger at knife River that the north unit is even more beautiful. Hope to visit it next time!
Hey y'all, we just came across your channel! We can't wait to visit North Dakota someday! We have never heard of a scotcharoos! They sound really good! Thanks for sharing! ~ Shion and Matthew
We hope you can try them someday! They are amazing!
Hello there Shion and Matthew.. if you have Facebook, search Scotcheroos by Gramma Val and we can possibly get scotcheroos to you!
We really wanted to do the high point! And we hear the North Unit is very beautiful, so we will be back to do both!

Hi Kirsten! Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! We super appreciate it ❤️❤️
We just spent the night in Bismarck, went to the Painted Canyon Overlook AND stopped and got a scotcharoo...however my friend makes them and always called them peanut butter chocolate bars lol! Either way...SO GOOD!!🤩😍
Ahh twins!!! And we hear "bars" is a common phrase!
Glad to see you in my home of Fargo, eating my fave lefse,Freddy's!It is best when you buy it fresh in West Fargo and add margarine or butter and use plenty of regular sugar. Fresh is best!
We wanted to get it fresh so badly! But they were closed the day we went 😭
Yes! I like white sugar best, as well!
We were here in May but the Canadian wildfires made it all Smokey. Just a warning for others to be careful of the ticks. Our daughter got Rocky Mountain fever from this park from one of the hiking trails. Thanks for sharing this park.
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. 😭
Thanks Mike! We have some of that on the list! Excited for what we are able to see!
They were both so good! Hard to beat butter and brown sugar together. That would make sense if it was a Nordic thing!
Most locals that make lefse have Norwegian heritage!
Theodore Roosevelt National Park is really neat. When we were there it absolutely poured and rivers of mud were flowing everywhere lol. Fargo looked really cool! We only spent the night there going through and it was so windy. I think we'll have to go back and check it out more!
Oh wow, that's crazy! They say rain and badlands do NOT mix haha!

Here, our most popular dog names are Kona, Kota, Koda, and Dakota.
Oh wow! We didn’t know that about Kona. Cool!
Was up Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and Colorado area July to a couple days into August. The smoke was crazy. Had a lot of good viewing in Wisconsin till the day we left. Then had smoke till pretty much getting to the Badlands
We feel ya! We did basically the opposite route of that and didn’t escape the smoke until Wisconsin and Michigan.
Great video guy!! I wished now we would have went to North Dakota when we went on our South Dakota trip. Oh well guess that just means we will have to go again sometime!😄
It’s really worth a visit! There is a lot we missed too!
Allways a thumbs up for you. You are so nice and inspiering. Greetings from Germany.

Thanks a bunch! We are excited to visit!
The trails for hiking or mountain biking are awesome in the park.
What’s your favorite?!
