      It's nice to see some of the more affordable modern cards like this one being showcased as well. I would find something like a 4090 review boring because it's completely unattainable for the majority of people, and because it's already been done to death by all the big channels.

    I asked Bing Copilot and it said this thing ranges between 22 to 43 FP32 teraflops. To put that into perspective, that makes the RX7600 on equal computational power as the 2002 JAMSTEC Earth Simulator supercomputer which was comprised of several blade servers occupying entire rooms. That's amazing that we've advanced that much technology.

    This is more refined 6650xt, it will be great for everyone once it goes down to 199 or less. The only problem I foresee about this card this season is if the RX 6700xt 12gb gets slashed to around 299$ or lower as it will be a no brainer to choose that instead. The RX 6700 10gb is also currently giving this new card a run for its value as I've seen them for as low as 249$ on newegg...

      8gb 1080p is starting to push it now. I'm hoping next gen they bump them up to 10+gb and have 8gb reserved for the 8500 XT or something. Games and programs are outgrowing 8gb even for 1080p unfortunately

    • @theexile4694
      @theexile4694 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1440p is out of the question with an 8 GB GPU.
      1080p is pushing it, today, with an 8 GB GPU.
      1080p = 10 GB +
      1440p = 12 GB+
      4K = 16 GB+
      I should say that some games will probably work just fine at 1440p but, just don't. Get a proper GPU for the resolution you want to play at that has the proper amount of VRAM.

    The cooler doesn't look like much but consider how small it is. This specific card is actually the most powerful card currently in the ~200mm ITX category. There is a 4060ti that is around the same length, but it's significantly taller, so will likely break compatibility in a lot of cases where this cooler design would make sense. I would love to see a 7700XT close to this size but I don't know if the TDP is too much. In the era of monster coolers, it's easy to underestimate the strengths of sticking strictly to a 2-slot limit.

However, TAA can be a little more demanding on the CPU , When using a AMD graphics like I am now (with my ASRock PG RX 7600) I like to use either MSAA or if I can get a good framerate I would use SSAA. But I have used TAA before when I was using a GTX 1070 Ti. BTW, You are my go to source of info on the performance of GPU's. Keep up the great work! Cheers!

    G'day Random,
    I am really liking your Multi Game Benchmark videos with a good mix of older & newer games, it will be great to see some Hero GPUs from the past get a video like this too.
    Unlike 4060Ti which in pure Raster Performance has barely any increase & a decrease in some games against 3060Ti so effectively the same as last gen unless you only play DLSS3 Games I think the RX7600 is a reasonable buy, compared to last gen you are getting a reasonable upgrade accrding to TechPowerUp GPU DataBase of about 30% to 6650XT/6700XT performance at 10% cheaper than 6600.
    The biggest problem for 7600 I think is that there are still 6000 GPUs available at very discounted prices so if 7600 & 6700XT are close in price if you go 6700XT you get same core performance but the better memory performance of 12GB & 192Bit Bus

      "you are getting a reasonable upgrade accrding to TechPowerUp GPU DataBase of about 30% to 6650XT/6700XT performance"

      @shaneeslick ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jutube821 Did you open up the bit that says "Read More" ???
      because if you had you could have read the whole sentence to get the context,
      The whole sentence is "compared to last gen you are getting a reasonable upgrade accrding to TechPowerUp GPU DataBase of about 30% to 6650XT/6700XT performance at 10% cheaper than 6600." The 30% performance increase is TO 6650XT/6700XT performance, NOT 30% OVER 6650XT/6700XT performance, then the 10% cheaper is in reference to 6600MSRP.
      On the GPU DataBase the difference between 7600 & 6700XT is only about 5% which you claim for the same gap between 6650XT & 7600 is "barely better than"
      also if you had read the rest you would have seen that I did say that because of the current very discounted last Gen prices the 6700XT is a better buy because of the 12GB & 192Bit Bus.

    I've been keen on upgrading my 6600, I thought 7600 would give good competition due the generation leap.
    Seeing the performance of 7600, I'm not very keen actually.
    I'd rather upgrade to a 10+ GB VRAM card, something like a 6700 non-XT.
    But again, I'd rather a 6700 XT to futureproof myself. (I'm a 1080p gamer btw)
    But 7700 XT is somewhere to be seen in the near future, and that's why I'm holding to buy the 6700 XT too.
    Hopefully 7700 XT will be announced soon, it'll probably scare Nvidia a lot considering it's price point and performance.
    AMD usually offers better performance for lower price than Nvidia cards, hope they actually continue to do that in the current generation cards as well.

    Your mileage may vary depending on the game, but this card does play games beyond 1080p fairly well. Especially 1440p, a lot of games in 1080p through 1440p go over 100 frames, and if you're fine with 4k not being 60+fps (like between 30 to 55 fps, especially keeping in mind cinema quality is 24 fps) it does that pretty well in a lot of games. Some games don't like resolutions beyond 1080p. The latest forza motorsport is a good example of a game that just craps itself beyond 1080p (forza horizon 5 runs extremely well though) Everything I throw at it usually runs fairly well, especially if I use FSR if the game has the option, and if it doesn't then fluid motion frames helps a great deal of games get better frames. They're getting really good with framegen technology. Such a huge leap from the current drivers vs. the December alpha drivers with framegen. AMD is starting to catch up with Nvidia. These drivers they've released recently are some of the best AMD has ever put out. The 7000 series cards, all of them are extremely powerful cards, even the budget end is still high end, even though this card is lacking in the vram, it still packs a huge wallop especially if you compensate for its lack of vram with huge amounts of system RAM and pair it up with a good 5000 series x3d or a good 7000 series x3d.

    • @Pushing_Pixels
      @Pushing_Pixels ปีที่แล้ว

      GPU memory controllers don't use the pcie connection, so the motherboard won't make a difference to memory bandwidth on the cards. You might mean pcie x16 vs x8 on the 5700xt and 7600 respectively? The pcie bus can affect access to DRAM and the CPU, but the onboard memory of the GPU is not affected. A x8 bus on pcie 3.0 is generally enough for most low end or even low/mid range cards. The pcie x4 bus on the rx 6400/6500 cards was a big issue on gen 3.0., but a x8 bus shouldn't make too much difference for something like an RX7600.

    • @Godlyhank
      @Godlyhank ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Pushing_Pixels it makes a difference. quite a big once in a few games. This is because of its 128 bit bus. If the card was with a 256 bit bus it would have double the memory bandwidth which renders the drop from 16x to 8x inert almost. its one of the biggest criticisms of the 4060ti and 7600 is they are limited to 8x, so pcie 3.0 vs 4.0 makes a bigger difference because 8x on pcie 4.0 allows the same bandwidth to pass through per cycle vs pcie 16x on 3.0 understand? So on pcie 4.0 the rx 7600 and 4060ti dont have any issues or many memory limits. but pcie 3.0 users will experiance memory speed limitations due to the tighter restrictions (because the cards 8x limiter), and memory information is transferred over the slot through its interface, so yes it makes a difference. especially with resizeable BAR or SAM

      It's easier to avoid bugs with a FPS cap on engine.
      One problem is physics going wonky. Ragdolls and items flying all over the place.
      Second problem is cutscene triggers that might malfunction if the FPS is all over the place, meaning your game gets stuck and you can't proceed with the story.

    The difference between this and the RX 6600 is small and the drivers are kind of bad now for the RX 7600. I tested this on my channel and i was not impressed at all...

    6600 vs 7600 faceoff maybe? I was looking for an upgrade in the X600 tier's price range, but I took a look at the price/performance of the 7600 and decided there and then to just buy a 6600 because it was 100€ less and the performance was satisfying. It would be interesting to see a straight comparison between the two to see how much extra performance 100€ gets you in real life scenarios.

      @@rustywastakenwastaken The 7600 is about 30% faster than a 6600, so it's a pretty solid difference.

      @@rustywastakenwastaken I'm not a 6600 user just yet, the GPU hasn't been delivered...still on a GTX 970 for now, but in the near future I'll be back on an AMD GPU as I have for most of my life
