Sambranikodi, near Kollam, Kerala is an island (thuruthu) in the Asthamudi Lake. The shallow waters here attract many tourists.
DTPC operates boats from Manalil and Prakkulam boat jetties to Sambranikodi. We boarded from Manalil. The charge was ₹150 per person.

It is fascinating to see small shops in the water serving tea, snacks, soda, buttermilk, pineapple, mangoes, and other items. You have a Gpay facility also.
How to reach?
Those coming from Trivandrum:
Travel through the Kollam bypass
Take a right turn after Kadavoor bridge
Travel via Anjalummoodu to reach Prakkulam or Manalil boat jetties
The depth of water is up to knee for a 5.5 ft tall person.
