I think we should do as she has asked. Give her time to heal her body and her spirit. To protect her children and to explain to them what is happening in an age appropriate way. To respect her right to keep her private life private and when she ready she will come back to work. I think the idea of her being by herself was supposed to lend towards the idea of this being Catherines _thing_ as opposed to the palace or couples announcement, an attempt at a show of strength on her part in owning what is happening to her (ultimately. Making it personal to _her_ as it is happening specifically to her and not William), a way of connecting with the people in an intimate way by creating a one-on-one feel, whilst most importantly (and bluntly, I think) addressing the rumor of *(specifically)* *her* disappearance or demise. Different people can handle treatment VERY differently. My Mom was on a radiation and chemo pill combo last year for six weeks for colon cancer. That phase of treatment is typically handled well by many people, but my Mom was so sick she was hospitalized twice. After that phase of treatment, she handled the IV chemo WAY better, and IV chemo can often make people quite sick. She continues to work full time during treatment now. She hasn’t lost her hair either. Folfox is the chemo often used for colon cancer and many people keep their hair with that. Gyno cancers often get chemos that result in hair loss. My Mom’s oncologist has told her that he has seen 70 yr olds breeze through treatments with relative ease, while 40 yrs olds are miserably sick. It just depends on the person.

I walked to and from the local station every day and the wind was always whipping my hair around (I bought a hair clip it was so annoying) Went to London for a couple of days. Same thing there. But, millions of people every year get over the initial shock, tell family and friends, get their treatment plan set and then just get on with their lives. I don’t get the weird blur artefact around her head, as someone more than familiar with photography and cameras I know it’s not a depth of field thing it’s more like something you see when you put someone against a background that is green screen or something dare I say you encounter with deepfakes.
The announcement itself might be genuine but they are going a really weird way about it, making it look as unnatural at possible, which just fuels more speculation and the really bizarre conspiracy theories. They didn’t help themselves in the lead up with the bodged photos, trying to pass off a clearly composite image as one that Kate has lightly retouched or applied a filter to herself, insulting the intelligence of anyone that has a professional eye for these things.

I think the idea of her being by herself was supposed to lend towards the idea of this being Catherines _thing_ as opposed to the palace or couples announcement, an attempt at a show of strength on her part in owning what is happening to her (ultimately. Making it personal to _her_ as it is happening specifically to her and not William), a way of connecting with the people in an intimate way by creating a one-on-one feel, whilst most importantly (and bluntly, I think) addressing the rumor of *(specifically)* *her* disappearance or demise.

The public WANT to see her supported by her family. Different people can handle treatment VERY differently. My Mom was on a radiation and chemo pill combo last year for six weeks for colon cancer. That phase of treatment is typically handled well by many people, but my Mom was so sick she was hospitalized twice. After that phase of treatment, she handled the IV chemo WAY better, and IV chemo can often make people quite sick. She continues to work full time during treatment now. She hasn’t lost her hair either. Folfox is the chemo often used for colon cancer and many people keep their hair with that. Gyno cancers often get chemos that result in hair loss. My Mom’s oncologist has told her that he has seen 70 yr olds breeze through treatments with relative ease, while 40 yrs olds are miserably sick. It just depends on the person.

I was in England (south west) at the time this video was supposedly filmed. It was an absolute drizzle fest and windy too. I walked to and from the local station every day and the wind was always whipping my hair around (I bought a hair clip it was so annoying) Went to London for a couple of days. Same thing there. During my five week stay from Feb 11 to March 25, there were only a couple of sunny mornings and even then, it was windy. There's no movement in the background at all and Kate's hair doesn't move naturally (like one occasion she was filmed outside). The entire scene looks lifeless and robotic. It doesn't even look like her. As for leaving her alone... well, she promoted the Covid vaccines publicly which would have influenced countless people to get them and now she has cancer (as does Charles), so while I sympathise with her, IMO she does have some explaining to do. A case of turbo cancer (Olivia Tessinar) was diagnosed on the original Moderna clinical trial (the severe AE was established to be caused by the treatment) and top UK oncologist Angus Dalgleish is saying too many of his patients are coming out of long-term remission to be a coincidence. He has been contacted by other oncologists (also in Australia where there's been a high jab take-up) who are seeing the same thing.

But, millions of people every year get over the initial shock, tell family and friends, get their treatment plan set and then just get on with their lives. She may have stepped back from her royal duties but she would have been seen, at a minimum, coming and going from treatments and other doctors appointments. I like Catherine, especially because of her apparent empathy, and believe that once the shock wore off, and it does, she would have embraced being a visible advocate. Hiding in complete isolation is the opposite. Even if she lost her hair, like millions of patients do each year, there are gorgeous wigs and other head coverings. Something isn’t right.
