Many ppl at my school sell candy, but what they aren’t selling( and loosing out on) is the even bigger demand of gum. I want to sell other gum companies (sort of like irl Amazon) , any tips on that?
MVP means “Minimal Viable Product” which means to make your product in the cheapest way possible to make a profit and then later down the line refine the design to make it better
My middle school, 7th grade science teacher, taught us this process. He had us make up fake businesses and physically build our product. Each team got 50 dollar's to buy their parts. We would then go to a college nearby (their MESA program also paid for everything) and present our product to three judges who would judge based on looks, design, and functionality. It was extremely humbling and helpful
This is not going into detail.., These are the “ simple” first steps that you can just google yourself. If you can’t do that good luck with your business…
Hey Gohar, I know you probably aren’t going to see this but I’m going to ask anyway because why not. I live all the way in the UK and am going to choose my GSCEs in March. In my school we are allowed to do 10 subjects but quite a few of those are mandatory: Maths English language and literature Physics Biology and Chemistry and one of the 5 languages my school has for you (French, Spanish, Mandarin, German or Russian). This leaves Art, Classical Civilisation, Computer Science, Design Technology and Engineering, Drama, Geography, Greek, History, Latin, a second Modern Language, Music and Religion Studies. The problem is I’m really not sure to do for my 4 subjects. To put it in short I’m bad at basically everything on this list, the only thing I could do relatively well is, Greek Latin and Art. Unfortunately they all have downsides, I already have to do 1 mandatory language (I’m still deciding between Spanish or French) so I don’t really want to do 1 let alone 2 dead languages in addition to that. Whereas for Art I know it is a very long and tiring subject, I have heard stories about 2 straight 5 hour exams over the span of 2 days, no talking eating or listening to music. I know this may sound standard to you and college students but I have ADHD and the thought of doing something like that for 5 hours straight for a subject I kinda feel is mediocre just sounds like straight torture, not to mention my school is really strict with the mock exams too and I have seen people CRYING after their mocks every May. I guess after all that would be DTE (design tech and engineering) but I’m not even good at THAT, the thought of making stuff just sounds fun to me, but I hate planning which I know is a huge part of it. Besides all this my family along with my school pressures is to fit History or Geography on there and it’s mostly the norm. In the end though, GCSEs won’t determine what you want to do in university and that’s up to A levels, but I still want to have subjects that I am sort of good at/enjoy since I will be working on them for all of Year 10 and Year 11 (grade 9 and 10 I think) Do you think you can tell me which subjects would be for me? Enjoyment comes last unfortunately. (The norm in my school is 8 and 9s since I go to a very competitive private school)
Hello, although lm not Gohar but l also have done gcses so l could give u a suggestion. I think for language, french is the best because it's the closest to English and you'll understand alot of words. Secondly if you like creating stuff but hate planning, lm sure you can take help from family, friends and the internet ( also chatgpt and AI) so that would ease ur worries and time. Plus l think history and music sound fun along geography because they are not too tedious and rather interesting. Anyhow best of luck and l hope you excel, just make sure to practice ur subjects every day so that ur all prepared for cies and Mocks. Have fun kiddo
I mean dropshipping is a really cool and easy way to make money yourself and for the person you’re buying from, but the issue is that if people find out that you’re dropshipping your businesses is over
How to not k**l meself? ( This is a real questions, i'm serious, like how do i keep myself up? I have a -4 in my eyes if i keep going on my phone, i will go blind pernamently how do i not get bored without phone, TV, or a laptop,PC?)
Funny how yesterday i thought of using financial leverage to create a business. Now with this information, i am able to proceed further. Sure it's just the tip of the iceberg, but it sure helped a lot! Thanks!
Hey gohar could you make a small guide on how to get hired at a job for teens? Like what some good things to say at an interview or what are some good practices to put in before getting a job?
As much as I appreciate this video as someone who has been surrounded by business men my entire life, it is impractical. If the goal is to yield financial gains in a scenario like this, it would be far more effective to identify lucrative industries and the narrow down the ones that would work best in your community only then looking for a problem. This way you can almost guarantee a profit, assuming a good product.
You can also interview neighbors with your friend to ask about problems in the neighborhood or the city. And ask about their opinions on how to solve it.
I'm 18 and currently run 4 businesses here in Canada (going to my first year of college). 1 buisness was solving the problem and the rest became into a buisness through fiddling around. They are -hatching/breeding livestock (started 2020) -custom farming (the problem was my grandmother's custom guy retired so needed someone else)(started 2023) -snow shoveling for neighbors (started 2019. Was started cause I was bored over covid not being able to do much with online learning) -free scrap removal (started fall 2023). This is actually the buisness I get the most $$ from. I also do other runs for people if they need me too for cheaper than what other people charge
More tip:make sure that the food is fresh before you start because a long time a go I won't say the hole story but I will tell you that the fridge was not working and they didn't check and then people start to die for the germ and the they have to stop the business then they open again but this time the food was fresh so be careful what you buy and what you make check the food many time to see it is fresh [In maid it was long]
Students always want snacks at school. So, ask many students what they prefer for snacks! You build a chart, and select 3-5 products to sell. If you get a 40 pack of small bags of takis, that costs $20, you might sell each bag for 1 dollar, because in the 40 pack, if it costs $20, or half of the quantity, then that means each bag is $0.50 cents. If you sell every bag, now you're able to buy two 40 packs of takis, and you can sometimes expand your selection.
a business plan will usually include a company description, market analysis, product/service details, marketing strategy, financial projections, etc
