Fluffy crust, that is why he gave time to batter to settle down first. He did not immediately close down the machine so that it can get fluffy texture. I noticed that two of the waffle makers he has don't really have the rims/frames to keep the waffles in. So it oozes out on the side he'd rather overfill then cut to keep the pretty round shape than have to deal with underfilled halfass waffles. It's such a thin waffles I don't think he's wasting too much. :)

10-15 % отходов, это же хорошо. Помните в школах не вкусную еду, а на них выростают свиньи, куры несут яйца. Такие вкусняшки очень хорошо едят нутрии.

It’s better to have cut out edges than not enough. When you make it at home make sure it does not run over the pan.
