At one time they were being scrapped by the dozen I suspect. Those that remained only survived by the skin of their teeth until a very small [initially] number of people decided upon saving them. It's good to see them being exhibited and enjoyed at events like this.

I'm certainly very much looking forward to attending it in 2022 as I sadly could not attend the 2021 one but really wonderful seeing an event like this, theatrical performaces and manier other things alongside the heritage event side of things making a comeback through the thrive of escalating glory and all the rest of it :-). But when we were speaking earlier on please don't worry about not being able to attend the Hove Park Miniature Railway on Saturday 11th September 2021 because of the Loughton Rally taking place from the 11th and 12th September 2021 the next track day after the 11th September 2021 is the 25th September 2021 and then the 9th October 2021 after that and lastly the 23rd October 2021 being its final track date for the 2021 running sessions within its seasonality peridos for their track times located at the trail of their enterprising, enchanting, exciting and elating miniature railway being the Hove Park Miniature Railway or HP Miniature Railway as oneself or I like to fervantly be explaining it and so forth :-). Also if you're available on this particular date being Saturday 16th October 2021 I'm due to be attending the Brighton Toy Museum on this day as they have a special event due to take place on that day just to say starting from 10:30am until 17:00pm on Saturday 16th October 2021 with a lunch break from 12:30pm until 2pm just to say David :-). I know its really quite far away to think about it now as to whether you can make it there but I thought I would tell you about it as it maybe of some interest to you :-). Take care David :-). Great to see these old engines restored and running! So many of these machines were scrapped for their metal when their boilers rusted out.
