The passage of time does not diminish the tragedy, thank you for keeping their memory alive, its a shame the graves have been left to become so overgrown.
I've never heard of this, Matt. Brilliantly told as always. What i find fascinating about places like this is that all those people walking along the lake edge will not know of its dark history, walking blissfully unware. Ive mentioned this in an upcoming story we have just recorded, how the past and some dark history will always remain there, and people just dont know. In our story, a park has been built in a place where murders took place, kids having fun on swings and slides, and yet a truly horrific story is there. Anyway, that's me waffling 😅 Loved this video, Matt, and respectfully done.
Thanks, and, yes, good point. There'll be plenty of places like that where it's history is forgotten. Good job we're here to remedy that 😊. Thanks for watching my friend, glad you enjoyed it.
Do you know if there is anyone, and who, is responsible for the care of Crosstone graveyard? I do have some relatives buried there, but I live around 300 miles away currently

Shame Cross Stones graveyard is such a mess and lovely of you to tidy up the grave.
Yeah, it's awful to see it in it's current state. I'm hoping to clear it in Autumn when the foliage at least dies back a bit....
Is this a re-upload? I have seen this before somewhere ??? unless it was on FBook
I posted the picture on Facebook a month or two back, see if it was a story anyone knew. Video is new 😊
@@matparks08 That'll be where I saw it then :)

It's Calderdale Councils responsibility. I think they've forgotten it exists 😔
