The shame of it all is most police in America. I would say 60% were low c High D grades in high school. they were most likely picked on if they weren't. the guys who got picked on they were the remedial guys who weren't smart enough to go to college and weren't good enough to play football. it was better than Billy Bob's School of trucking and you could go to Police academy for a couple weeks and in some towns you don't even have to go to Police academy the first couple years. you're a cop. you just have to eventually go. we disrespect our citizens by putting those kind of people on the streets to police us and it's gotten so bad that people just accept it like it's what it should be like. cops should just have total authority to walk around doing whatever on the basis so they don't even know the law

Many people in jail/prison for crimes committed because of their stupidity. Sheriff's stupidity, with the police Lieutenant's as well, are causing them to commit crimes. Infringing on the constitutional, civil rights of free people is a crime at this point. They will discover it in some manner. Taking an education in moments like this is the best way for them once they reach this point. Learning in a court room, stripped of their qualified immunity, is a harsh way to learn.

There are 14 stop and ID states in the US !! Just do a simple Google search!!

To stop and ID, regardless of the state, the cop has to have the elements of a Terry stop! Reasonable, articuable suspicion.
All stop and ID statutes include this wording.
This is the reason cops don't like being recorded. We get to see how unqualified and overpaid they are. They are law enforcement officers that have little knowledge of the laws they are responsible of enforcing.
So the sheriff of a county thinks that the county law is superior to federal law. I heard him say it, and I still don't believe it. And this guy's walking around with a gun and a badge.

Clearly WE all know that the US Constitution and related case law from the Supreme Court is the highest law in the land, but that hick of an LEO thought that some local and state laws can supersede it... which is hard to imagine he can be so idiotic about such a basic aspect. He also tried to say that the auditor could be charged with causing a riot because there were 3 or more people there... totally not realizing that on-duty officers cannot be part of the three.

I liked the "inciting a riot" bit. Only people present are a cameraman, and 4 cops. I'm not American nor have I ever been to the US and even I know the answers to these bill of rights questions. but then again in the US many only know of the 1st and go on about the 2nd and that is about as far as they go.
there are what 27 amendments to the constitution and while I could name many of them, I doubt I could name all of them, but I could list the 10 from the bill of rights.
the one Americans don't know the most is the 3rd amendment, which is the quartering of soldiers in time of peace or war one that have the caveats of owners consent and in a manner prescribed by law.

This is a very unfair to the police video, the cop is only a lieutenant with probably no more than 15 years on the job, to expect him to understand to basic fundamentals of his job is a big ask.

The Lt. Wasn't fired. He was going to be demoted to patrol officer. He was allowed to resign before the demotion. He keeps his lieutenant pension.
