I love that you made mention to the fact that it wasn't your bodies fault it was the jeans. I find that we are to quick to blame our bodies instead of the clothing. So thank you for reminding us its not us its the clothes.
“It’s not my body’s fault, it’s the pants fault” 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 We should learn to buy our clothes with this mindset. The size number doesn’t matter, what matters is that you feel pretty and comfortable on it.
I suggest you get the regular instead of curve love. Curve love is tighter at the waist and has an extra 2 inches of material in the hips. Your waist to hip ratio is not smaller with larger hips. The waist and thighs are suppose to be fitted but gets looser at the calves. Curve love on you is too tight in waist and baggy everywhere else. Go down a size to 27 (not curve love) and even if they are tight at first they will stretch out throughout the day with being 99%cotton 1% elastane. All the jeans look great but they just weren’t the right size and style for your body type.
This is probably the best jeans review I’ve seen on TH-cam. I love the fact you do a “sit test” in them. SO helpful! Thank you for showing the good and bad when trying on clothes, from a fellow postpartum mama ☺️
I love how honest you are in your reviews and how in dept you go! Like you’re so real!! So many influencers don’t show things like a little bit of belly being pushed out from the top of the jeans, like that happens to everyone and consumers want to know lol we’ll I do because almost all my jeans do that and it’s not my favourite so I’m looking for new jeans!!
Another great review. It's cute that GenZ is going to consider that low rise....millennials like me remember Frankie B jeans (the zipper was like an inch long) and how impossibly flat your tummy had to be to look half decent in them. 🤣
Thank you for saying it’s not our bodies fault, it’s the jeans fault. I have such a hard time finding a pair of jeans that make me feel good and I end up settling! Thank you for your review. So many of could relate. :)
thank you soooo much I have been struggling about sizing with the jeans for so long and this video really helped! thank you for going into so much detail and really putting effort into making it a true and honest review!
You did a great review, so thorough and well thought out! Finding good jeans can be so hard. I am around 5'8" but I have long torso and short legs. Super high rise jeans are amazing for me but it's hard when it comes to the length. A lot of times I will but a short size so that they don't hit in at an awkward point. Then sometimes short is too short, I cut so many of my jeans. Even when I was in high school Abercrombie jeans didn't fit me well, so I haven't even attempted them this time around.
I bought 2 pair of gap jeans from another you tubers recommendation but cannot remember who. I have not purchased a pair of gap jeans in years. They are the high rise vintage slim with washwell in medium indigo. The medium indigo is the only pair I see with a regular hem. I think they are the perfect balance of straight and slim. Not too baggy and not as slim as a skinny. I bought one pair and loved them so much i purchased another. I am 5'6 and they fit right at the ankle. I think you should give these a try. Great review on all the Abercrombie jeans.
I’m glad I’m not alone in not having success with Abercrombie jeans. Not only do they not fit me well, I can’t justify spending that much and their sales are not great. Express is my go-to. Better selection, better fit, better sales.
Thank you for this great video - it was truly helpful! I have never purchased jeans from Abercrombie, but now I will give them a try. I appreciate you doing the 'sit' test! A future video comparing to other brands and stores would be amazing to see! Not my body's fault, it's the pants fault - yesssss!!!! Well said :)
I appreciate the time you put into this video. That sit test is golden! Anything that produces a wedgie is simply not an option. I've had the most luck with MOTHER and Good American. AG is ok for comfort but not the best look.
New subscriber to your channel. Loved your review. I have been buying jeans forever but haven't found the one. I am still looking. Cheers from Vancouver, BC
Thank you for the review of these jeans. I have a shorter torso and longer legs even though I am petite. I will definitely try their low rise and stay away from the ultra highrise. I have found due to my short torso that ultra high rise in alot of different types of jeans doesn't look flattering.
I have struggled with the newer non-skinny styles from Abercrombie. The curve Love Skinnies are some of my favs. I can’t get the straight or 90’s styles right. My fav slim/straight style is the Madewell perfect vintage jeans. I want them in all the colors. Those fit me so well.
hello I love your videos when you show us designs from the walmart store you are very talented with your forms of combination I like and I congratulate you thank you for sharing with us blessings
I feel like we need a discussion about the rise of jeans. First if all we all have a different torso and can we agree here that after children and with having different body shapes, some of us are just going to prefer a different rise because it feels better and/or looks better on our body?! I feel like at this point in fashion, all rises should be acceptable and available. Certain brands I prefer mid rise, others high, but I have a longer torso and am constantly pulling at my jeans if they do not fit me properly and I hate that. Anyway, small rant. Lol loved this video.
You are beautiful, but your waist to hip ratio doesn’t need the curve love. They are for girls with bigger butts and/or wider hips. You (and me) and a more straight body with our waist and hips being pretty straight down. The curve has more room in the hips and then cinched at the waist. The regular jeans have more of a straight down effect which fits our bodies better. You are also getting some of those jeans in too large of a size. They’re supposed to fit snug on your body. For instance, the first pair that you had (the ones you kept) do not fit your hips/butt/waist like they should. You look great so it’s not unflattering, but if you are going to review clothes, you should try the right sizes.
Exactly, I wear a 28 in abercrombie curve love because they fit me, but I have more of a butt/thighs than this girl. The reason why none of these are fitting her properly is because she’s not curvy. I’m not sure if she thinks she’s curvy, or is trying to be, but she should order the regular sizes. If she says she hasn’t had luck in the past with the regulars, then she isn’t picking the right sizes in the regulars either. I don’t think she’s a true 28, I’m a 28 and my belly is bigger than hers. She needs to realize that with abercrombies, you’re supposed to buy a smaller size, and they then stretch out. It’s the sane with many brands. If I were her, I would try a 27 regular(non curve) and un a mid rise since she says she doesn’t like high rises. I also have a short torso, but the high rises work on me. But the main reason why they’re all gapping in the back is because she’s not curvy wearing the curvy line😂
Such a great review, thank you! I think you’d probably benefit from visiting a store & trying on a bunch of different sizes/fits. I thought I’d be in their curve love line & I’m not-my guess is you aren’t either based on the misfit you’re getting here. I also vary btwn 2 different sizes based on the fit. I love the mom jean, dad jean, & 90s relaxed high rise but haven’t found much success with their other fits. I consistently love the GAP vintage slim & cheeky straight high rise fits, I’d give those a try if you haven’t yet!
My only pair of Abercrombie jeans are ultra high rise flair. I don't mind high rise, they fit my body well. I got my normal size 26 regular and they fit great, but I had to cut two inches off the bottom for them to work with a heel, which is fine because they had a raw hem anyway. I have good luck with express jeans. I have a couple pairs from loft, I have to size down one size in loft jeans. I also have the high rise cheeky straight from the gap that I love.
I’ve had issues with the two AF jeans I’ve purchased. First pair was just huge, then I lost weight and gave them away. Next I got the cross over pair you tried on. They are very stiff and then I found I could get same style at Forever 21 for 1/4 the price. Live and learn.
I have a similar body style like yours but always get the regular fit as opposed to the curvy because of the gap around the waist. I just size up from a 27 to a 28 and they are perfect.
TIP: don’t get Curve Love. get the regular style/sizing. I made the same mistake because everyone on TikTok was getting Curve Love. They look 100% more flattering in regular sizing, and now I’m obsessed now!
I feel like with jeans trying them on is SO important. Even though I am a similar height and body shape to you with longer legs and a shorter torso I find the curve ultra high rise find the ultra high rise to be most flattering on me. However I have a smaller waist and thicker legs. A lot of times just because jeans look good on somebody else doesn’t mean that they will look good on me. It’s all trial and error.
Yess! I find that especially true with the more structured jeans. Normally, I can order something and know it will work, but with Abercrombie jeans I've really struggled to find what works best for me. Usually, the waist is too tight and the thighs are too big on me. I'm going to try round 2 and order some other sizes.
Hi Amanda. Being short waisted, I'm truly not a fan of high rise jeans. If I sit, they go right under my breasts. Ugh. I still prefer a mid rise. I truly wish they never brought back the 90s style jeans. They give me a total pancake look. They need to make more petite choices, especially when you're 5'. I'll take my Kut from the Kloth jeans over Abercrombie any day. I agree with you 100%! ❤❤❤
I just checked the link and they aren't up anymore for some reason! This is their current white jean option. bit.ly/2KNepRI Mine is a slim ankle and not skinny
Because I have a short torso, I can only really wear mid rise jeans comfortably. Old Navy has the best mid rise options in my opinion. I wouldn't shy away from the low rise ones if I were you. If it would've been the same jean with mid rise on the label, I bet you would've liked them better. Marketing is a powerful thing!
Good honest review. I am searching for straight leg jeans. I love my flairs, but I want more everyday jeans and cannot seem to find ones that look good on me
It's no one's fault, including the jeans! You just have to find the type of cut and material that's right for your body and Abercrombie's just happens not to be it. They fit great on others, though.
Not a fan of 90s jeans coming back. I was a teenager in the 90s and the jeans were so stiff, super low so you constantly had to pull them up and they just were not flattering. I am sticking with skinny jeans.
I have a short torso and am not a fan of any super high rise jeans. I recently got a pair of madewell perfect vintage jeans in mid rise and they’re amazing.
Great, in-depth video! Thanks for this review. I’ve not tried the curve love line. Maybe that’s my issue with these jeans…or maybe it’s the jeans fault like you said 🤍
None of those jeans looked awesome. They were okay at best, but not a single pair was flattering. To me, any new clothing I spend my money on has to look great and make me feel confident and sexy. These were not it. Thank you for doing this review for us
Those definitely didn’t look like any low rise jeans I’ve seen. When I was young I used to wear low rise, they were call hip huggers. Then I would take in the crotch and make them lower. I have no idea what kind of underwear I wore with them. They were really low. Well, on to today. No. After you have kids, unless you’re a model, you can’t wear those jeans. I am very short waisted with short legs. I like high rise. I carry all my weight up high, not low. If I didn’t have the fat and any hips I might be able to wear low rise. But I would have to wear the flowiest, not sure if that a word, I own. I like your review’s because you’re honest. You have a normal body. Maybe a tad thinner than normal people. But most of the jeans did look good on you. The sit test was the best. That’s why I like a higher waist jean. I have a pair from Land’s End. And I find myself wearing them more than any other pair I own. They are kind of high rise straight leg. And they are so comfortable. I’ve never found any comfortable jeans, but all of a sudden I’ve found quite a few pairs. Are you going to check places like Old Navy? I like their jeans. They have a large selection.
The only Abercrombie jeans I have any luck with is the normal skinny style (they’re still semi-straight legged, not the super skinny jeans that we’re used to)
Great video Amanda. I am also not a fan of high rise jeans....it's just too much fabric! I am 5-3 and pretty evenly proportioned. I like a mid rise best, right under the belly button please. These loose legs?.No!!!! I look like I am swimming in them. I am really not z fan of this new trend.
You have such a cute figure; but I don’t think these jeans are flattering to you. Thank you for trying all of them - I was not aware of all the options.
I love that you made mention to the fact that it wasn't your bodies fault it was the jeans. I find that we are to quick to blame our bodies instead of the clothing. So thank you for reminding us its not us its the clothes.
I agree!!! I always tell my 12-year old the same thing! Don’t want her to have body image issues like I did growing up!!
Yes!👏

All the jeans look great but they just weren’t the right size and style for your body type.

Thanks for your honesty! I cannot wear jeans anymore. I find them uncomfortable. I'm more into leggings and dresses. ☺️
You’d look good in anything! ❤️ thank you for your reviews!
Shorts next?

Pre baby I really liked their mom jean! Was stretchy but still had a substantial denim feel.
I will confirm your thoughts on the curve love. I sized down and they fit perfect!

Wow that's so awesome and fashionable jeans outlets and yes you looks so pretty here!!💕💕
hello I love your videos when you show us designs from the walmart store you are very talented with your forms of combination I like and I congratulate you thank you for sharing with us blessings
You should definitely size down in the first pair because they will stretch. Great jeans, though. I think I will try them.

I so love your advice. Many thanks.

I’m ready 👏👏👏

Very helpful! Thank you
Oooh, I actually liked the Curve Love 90s Ultra High Rise Straight Jeans.
They had a great fit compared to the others! I want to try the next size up maybe or a different wash
I’ve had some and they are really thick . They last a while surprisingly
Hi Can you do a Jean review like this from Walmart just bought a pair recently and super surprised they are amazing I have no idea what brand
Not a fan of 90s jeans coming back. I was a teenager in the 90s and the jeans were so stiff, super low so you constantly had to pull them up and they just were not flattering. I am sticking with skinny jeans.
The third pair were actually a size four according to the tag, which would be why they had a closer fit
I bought 2 sizes in that one! Took video of the 27 but tried on the 28.
Where is the link to the Express pants?
I just bought a few pairs and they did not work for me at all. We have completely different body types so kinda glad it’s not just me lol
I have a short torso and am not a fan of any super high rise jeans. I recently got a pair of madewell perfect vintage jeans in mid rise and they’re amazing.
Yes, those are my FAVE! I have the high rise but they don't sit as high up as these from Abercrombie
Great, in-depth video! Thanks for this review. I’ve not tried the curve love line. Maybe that’s my issue with these jeans…or maybe it’s the jeans fault like you said 🤍
Can someone PLEASE tell me if I’m a size 3, what size would I be with this sizing?
Maybe next time you should buy each style in 3 or so sizes and return what doesn't work?
I agree. Abercrombie jeans don't seem flattering on my short torso.
None of those jeans looked awesome. They were okay at best, but not a single pair was flattering. To me, any new clothing I spend my money on has to look great and make me feel confident and sexy. These were not it. Thank you for doing this review for us

I have almost given up trying to find jeans anymore.
The only Abercrombie jeans I have any luck with is the normal skinny style (they’re still semi-straight legged, not the super skinny jeans that we’re used to)
Weren’t you going to give us a link for your favorite white jeans at Express?
Yes they aren't there anymore ☹️
Great video Amanda. I am also not a fan of high rise jeans....it's just too much fabric! I am 5-3 and pretty evenly proportioned. I like a mid rise best, right under the belly button please. These loose legs?.No!!!! I look like I am swimming in them. I am really not z fan of this new trend.
You look great in most of them. Their is just something’s bout the jeans maybe just to trendy. They aren’t great
I still love skinny jeans they look the best on me
The gaping behind, reminds me that in the 70's, we had to buy men,s jeans as none were made for women at the time!
You have such a cute figure; but I don’t think these jeans are flattering to you. Thank you for trying all of them - I was not aware of all the options.
I miss when girls wore the low rise maaan
those are high rise jeans to me lol!
I know haha. I was shocked the low rise were that high on me 😂 On the model online they hit below her belly button but were still not super low.
I am not a fan of the jeans.
