Great info on working with MDF & router & bit... Love this idea! Though one thought, align the guide to each line vs bit to line the guide to router--at least when you have extra you can cut off to fit (or leave area "open" and put shelves inside for storage, as well as nice display--pending planned use...).
Spraying water on the back side will help big time with bending the mdf. Don't drown it but liberal amount will make it very pliable and prevent cracking.
Thank you very much for your comment. I went back and forth with wondering to do that or not. I have done that to plywood but never MDF. So wasn't sure if it would cause any problems. And I really didn't want to cut this again, lol. But seeing that first section crack some. You are right, a little bit of water would of helped a lot with the forming process. Good tip!
The relief cuts I made with the router allowed it to bend. But also adding very light sprays of water evenly will allow it to be able to bend as well. But I only used the relief cuts with the router.
Thanks for showing off your builds. Try using a RZ dust mask they work great and are very comfortable!
Thank you I will look into them!
