- Welcome to Walter's Wonderful (sleepy) world! Owning an English Bulldog is a lot of work but it's also a lot of fun. Walter is great condo dog, he loves to play but he also really loves to take naps. Yes, he really is an English Bulldog, for any of you who are wondering. He is pretty small but he is mighty. We hope you enjoy watching his day!

Definitely looks more like an olde English bulldogge by the athletic look and slender frame but beautiful and cute of course.
Walter has a very interesting build for an English Bulldog. He looks tall and very thin at the rear hips. Not unhealthy or anything like that, just a very different type of build that I've never seen that's for sure. Also, he's probably digging through the trash because he's starving. If I only had about 15 pebbles of food and a scoop of pumpkin puree for dinner I would be digging through the trash too. haha
Walter looks so good. You haven't overfed him which is a problem with many bulldog owners. Walter is lazy but he's a good soul!!
Walter is such a precious guy. If you want a dog for loving, you cannot beat an English Bulldog. They have such big personalities and make the funniest sounds!

We rescued our bully from a NJ rescue. He could've been a twin. Having grown up around Show dogs he seemed a little too long & lean. Wonderful dog 🐶 very protective of my infant son. Ours loved to stretch his legs & could swim.
Great video and Walter if a beautiful dog. Just hate to see that type of collar on dogs. A harness would be better suited for the dog and especially on any Brachycephalic type of dog.
You can further help the disgestion by putting water with the food so it gets a little soked. It's easier for them to digest than only the dry food.

We are getting out English bulldog puppy on May 23rd and we are soooo excited! We basically getting his nursery ready and can’t wait. Walter is AMAZING btw 😘

I believe that is an Old English Bulldog. I have one only brindal, Wow! they are almost identical.

A reason why he might not like long walks is because those chain collars can hurt them or another reason I wouldn’t know :)

Faalp Why a collar at all? It's looks ugly. Harness when walking.
@@samanthab1923 sure, if your dog walks perfectly heel and recall works perfectly aswell. If not, with a collar or Retriever leash you can correct unwanted behaviour directly and in a better way.
I for instance find collars not that attractive aswell, that's why I am using mostly those Retriever leashes and let my dog run free as soon as the recalls works perfectly fine.

I love your English bulldog. I have one too. He is 5 years and half ans such a star in the area, near the university. He always want to be outside because he knows that he is going to get a lot of attention and many (human) friends to play with him.
O dont like the chain that you put around his neck. Bulldogs should not wear a collar (and specialy not this kind of chain) ; mine wears a harness, that is much, much better for them to breath. He does not pull, but if he would, the harness would not hurt him.
Please, look for a harness for Walter.

i have an olde english so very similar to walter he’s not a fan of walks if he sees me put my shoes on around 5 or so he jets to back yard or if he sees the harness in my hand he runs and hides and the fridge thing is the same
He is so cute! My dog is a full English Bulldog that looks somewhat similar to Walter. His sibling group all look different . Some of them have ore of the typical bulldog look where others (like mine) look more like the Olde English. He is taller and smaller. The vet has comment what a healthy bulldog he is. So, I guess they can all look a little different.

You should not put a brachycephalic dog on a chain. Get him a harness please :)
When you were recently working away from home, did you crate him or let him roam the house? Just wondering if you experienced any separation anxiety and/or destructive furniture chewing once he was an adult?

Hello ... just wondering what flea and tick prevention do you have Walter on?
Our vet has him on Simparica Trio - we take him in for a blood test every spring and they refill his subscription.

Hi! That’s a good idea, I can include that in our next vid. For the second walk, it depends. Usually 20ish minutes. Sometimes longer.

I had a bulldog called rosie I took her for a long walk ...we had to get a bus back she did not want to walk back just layed on the floor it was only 2 miles

shes said multiple times she gives him the amount of food that the vet says he needs. besides shes talked about how when he was overweight it caused knee issues, just because your dog or the dogs youve seen dont look like hers doesnt mean hers isnt healthy :)
@It-Gamer I'm a owner of an english bulldog.And let me tell you he is way too slim and it isn't just about weight.A english Bulldogs frame.should be much shorter and stocky.Either he isn't a full breed or just a very poor specimen of a english bulldog
@@kirstylee7107 This may be shocking to you, but people often refer to the entire range of bulldog derivatives as English Bulldogs, including Olde, Leavitt, and Victorian, all of which are far healthier looking (like this dog) than typical Bulldogs. Maybe you should stay in your lane since you know nothing about this particular dog and don’t seem to know about these things in general.
@@BlownMacTruck to be fair though, they aren’t being wrong about the standard traits of an actual “English Bulldog”. Which she has stated in other videos she KNOWS Walter to be, a pure bred English Bully. I doubt people are trying to pick on her, just trying to inform her that her dog is not the Breed she thinks he is.
Telling people to stay in their lane when they aren’t even wrong is quite aggressive, really..?
@@ashesnight5362 She never states that Walter is a pure bred EB in this video, which is all people can go on. If the OP knew that part and didn't state that was the source of her complaint, that's on her; hence, the "stay in your lane" comment, especially since the dog looks *very* OEB-styled.
This is not English Bulldog, it's old English Bulldog, These are Two different dogs breed.
Actually he is a English. Many people think he is Olde because of his size, but he never looked like this. His brothers and sisters also look like regular English. Walter needed surgery many years back and when preparing we altered his diet. Totally changed him and he didn’t need surgery.
@@LifeofLauraLee sorry to hear that. Did you get your dog from an FCI breeder or from a Hoppy breeder?
We got Walter when we lived in Kansas City. There are our breeders www.bullybarn.com. They were amazing. We met Walters parents before the litter was even born. You can see pictures of their other litters and Walter’s parents.
@@LifeofLauraLee His dogs look beautiful and disease can hit any dog, I get in 1 month my English bulldog puppy I tried not to get from the breeder hobby but from a well-known worldwide FCI champion breeder are expensive but you can have their before ancestors confirmed
