And this is where kids started getting as spoiled as they are now-- he basically kow-towed to her and bought back her good grace which he should not have had to do-- it's part of growing up and she should have understood he had to keep his job so he could pay for HER keep. He could have made it up to her in other ways.

She was acting awfully spoiled, but I think it was sweet the way he showed her grace and love--and it helped her to see how badly she was acting (at least temporarily).
