ONE OF THE BEST COURSES I FOUND FOR FORTIGATE IS OF RAKSHIT SIR, WITH EXCEPTIONAL TRAINING AND GUIDANCE ANYTIME. TRULY MADE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON MY UNDERSTANDING IN FortiGate. I am able to ping pc1 from pc2 and vice versa...but the diag packet sniffer any "icmp" still shows "echo request only", is there a reason for it ?

at times, the lab can also show weird behavior with evaluation license. Please try to wipe pc1,2 and the fortigate firewall and try again. Let me know how it goes. All the best!

Also if you have offloading enabled in policy in case physical firewall model , then also packet may not show and you have to disable NPU offloading.
