I am sure the late Queen has guided Prince William during his time preparing to be King one day. I think William and Catherine are trying their best to stay out of the MUCK that QE2 and Charles have allowed the Royal Family fall into in the last 5 years. Yes, I do Partially Blame QE2 as she had standing, influence, power to clean Harry's titles away and make him Mr. Henry and should have had the lawyers on his every move from day one....she knew the right people. Of Course, I highly suspect Charles was doing the "Mummy, I will take care of this, just give me some time" thing with her, but, she also knew Charles was too weak / soft to deal with it. With her death, Charles has done not one thing to put an end to the two cretins of California....he lacks the skill / power /respect of QE2 and is going to dump Andrew and Harry onto William and Catherine.

William is not a fan of either the Commonwealth or the Church. He could change the way the Monarchy is expected to travel around all the Commonwealth countries and also separate out from the Church. Give them all an option of one property (and take Royal Lodge off Andrew) each, and turn the main palaces into museums and sell the rest. In Denmark, they have whittled it down to Fred and Mary’s family. They just do the State occasions. There will always be a tourism boom in Trooping the Colour and other big major events, but William and Catherine can concentrate on Earthshot, Early education and Mental health for young people. I think the new generation of Brits are ready for a downsize of looking after a big entitled family and reducing the enormous cost it must take to run it all. Move the Commonwealth duties back to the Foreign Office.

Well this government are taking winter fuel payments from pensioners so anything is possible with them, I don’t , and hope this lot won’t be in power too long. This is fascinating! A few years ago -- can't remember where -- I heard heard a channeled message that William will be the last King of England. I hate to say it, but King Charles needs to abdicate. The monarchy need Prince William and Princess Catherine now. The old traditional monarchy needs to be transformed. Prince William needs to take Harry’s Prince title, and he needs to work with Parliament to remove the Duke and Duchess if the King isn’t being a king but only being a father then PW needs to take the reign.

If he did then it's likely Edward would be named Regent until George is old enough to make up his mind what he wants to do.
