How NOT to change a feedline bearing!

    People have no idea what how mechanically inclined, and resourceful you have to be to grow chickens. Everyone has their own little tricks. Good stuff man.

    one tip .. if you hear is squeaking with birds in... shoot some wd-40 in the end there... it will buy some time maybe at least til the birds move. then I just knock the roll pin out of the collar and change the bearing on the end. ( yes anchor the shaft with vice grips first)

      You wouldn't happen to have a part number for a replacement bearing only. I'm having trouble finding them at any local stores. I've found a few online I think might fit but they're over ten dollars each. Thanks

      I’ve done the same thing, some WD 40 lasted me a couple days until I got it replaced. Another tip I stick a pry bar in the bottom of the feed hopper, pry on the shaft and grab the shaft with some vice grips then knock the roll pin out of the coller and replace the bearing and your done
