Don’t walk under leaning ladder, you might hit it and cause it to fall on you 6. Don’t walk under cloth hanging line, you might knock the clothes off and have to do laundry again There’re a bunch more but I can’t remember

The "don't cut nails at night" originated when there was no electricity before and you could end up hurting yourself in the dim candle light, somebody could step on your nail pieces and get hurt too as some of them are really sharp. Same for haircut, you could hurt yourself with the blade or scissors you're cutting your hair with. Since, people took superstitions a lot more seriously, they used it to their advantage to avoid accidents and it never stopped being a thing after that. No sleeping in front of the mirror originated to avoid people getting scared of their own reflection as in a sleepy state we're more prone to mis-see (if that's a word) things as our brains are still processing being awake, a heart patient could risk getting a heart attack.

I remember asking my grandma how about the foreigners who broke the superstition without them really knowing about it. And she answered me with “Asians are built different” 😭
You bet modern asians and many asians that arent from the country that the superstition originated from have broken that superstition tonnes of times and some might have broken it despite knowing about it and despite being from country of the same origin due to them not being superstitious, understanding logic and science over superstition, by accident (eg.knowing the superstition but forgetting about it at the time they are breaking the superstition, happens to ppl all the time). Like there r millions of ppl in one country and ppl still do things that logically they shouldnt be doing which are known to cause them harm like, drink and drive/drink alcohol over the recommended health limit and so on.. And even then government cant keep track of all of them because even government/scientific surveys might miss some of the ppl/things so if government/health organizations cant stop Ppl from doing harmful things that are KNOWN & PROVEN to cause harm to humans then what makes any one think that superstitions that arent even widespread will be followed by every person of the country its originated from, And if many from that country dont follow it and are fine then that obviously means that the superstition isnt right and it doesn't just affect a certain race afterall.. Obviously for ppl that believe it especially ppl like grandparents/older generations/even younger generation explaining all this isnt going to get them to stop believing in it unless you practically prove it and they might still not believe it after that.. But that doesn't matter as much as long as you understand that most superstitions were exaggerated for ppl sp they dont hurt themselves or cause inconvenience, and exaggeration probably used to be the easiest way to make ppl listen back then because Back in the old days people were more influenced by, understood and remembered fear which is more stronger instinct than logic which we humans learn more in modern era, thats what made the technological development possible and finally we use it to lot of times solve the things that make us afraid. (even tho its better to explain the reason to ppl and kids now)..
The whole fan superstition has some truths, Sleeping with the fan on all night may cause Eye irritation an some other minor things it can dry out your mouth, nose, and throat. This could lead to an overproduction of mucus, which may cause headaches. The cool air may also cause cramps as the muscles stiffen. the experts explain. "This problem is especially common for people who sleep with it near their face and neck. If you’ve been waking up with a stiff neck in the morning, it might be because of the constant breeze."
maybe breaking literally every superstition and myths in the world it could be milked to be 1000 episode like one piece lmao but i'd prefer if it was a real show instead of anime because it would be more realistic and for people to realize how stupid the myth they believe in
2:37 why you shouldn't whistling at night is because: 1. disturb the neighbor at night. Back then it's true as night is very quiet and even a whistle can be heard from quite a far. 2. some scout using whistling as their code. So you might disrupt their signals.
man imagine meticulously breaking all those superstition rules and going on a ghost tour only for some random dude to get the frog warning sign. I dont know whats worse, being sushii or being this guy. He probably contracted all your ghosts too
The scariest part about the birdwatching tower story is that frogs can see what’s going on even in the darkest of places , so them croaking at the same time when one of the member of the group went onto the right side of the tower. It’s like a “fuck off , you don’t want to test *them.* “

It’s not about possessing a tree it’s about a ghost wondering in the darkness of trees. If you are lucky maybe you can see someone standing under the tree.

And I've cut myself open. #3 Cutting nails at night : Never mind, I've got teeth. #4 Whistling at night : I didn't attract ghost but sleeping neighbors. #5 Pointing at trees : People think I'm crazy... #6 Pointing at moon : If pointing at moon make my fingers and ears drop, then astronauts probably had lost their balls... #7 Doing laundry at night or hanging clothes outside at night : Well Mr./Mrs. ghost I've been using those undies for 5 years you wouldn't wanna wipe your mouth with it let alone try it on xD. #8 Stabbing chopsticks in rice : Got slapped by my grandma for doing that...

@@adriantepes4355 lol you realize this is a joke right? That person is very obviously making a joke.. its obvious to anyone who isn't already convinced that ghosts are real. See, you're so convinced that ghosts are real that you will accept anything that could possibly be considered evidence as fact. That is the very definition of confirmation bias. From now on, you should approach any potential evidence for ghosts with the assumption that it's false. Think of other possible explanations. Once you have really ruled out other explanations, then you might consider ghosts.
As a theory of mine, demon or ghost can't scare someone who has no fear. Why? Demon's and ghost mostly operating to gather fear as like their appetite or entertainment. If you don't fear them, they cannot touch you. Just like ghost has no form, theoretically and only adapt the form your fears wanted to see. My own theory on ghost or demon's.
@@PianoWrecker They exist, but it's like that they are spirit's of balls of some kind of energy. They can form whatever they wan't. Mostly like demon's who csn temp or just straight up play with you. They are formless. The reason they can use fear to weaken someone will to possess, because they are formless. For the will of the person determines if they can be possessed or not. I have seen how possessions work and it's so true. You may not tryst my words but it is based to that experience. Holding a student girl down by five grown men is no joke. The girl manage to push two and drag the three men, then tied her up for safety. That just something you won't believe until you see it with your own two eyes. The reason Those who don't believe may not see ghost mostly because they don't fear it so much that their will is strong enough to reject their presence.

2:50 I'm Filipino and our elders also warned us to point at trees (especially large ones) or haunted houses. If you accidentally point at it, you should bite (just a little bit) your finger to prevent the curse. Personally, I don't believe in it. When I was a kid, yes I do 😂
6:55 there's a very logical explanation to this, to why you are still alive, you did 2 things at the same time, so the 2 ghosts came and fought all night for the right for your soul. Test again.
I once got "played" by a spirit in a sense that they gave me false courage to go to the bathroom alone at night. Heres how it went: I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and tried to get my siblings to accompany me, but they wont budge so i had to go by myself. Strangely, I realized I wasnt scared at all when i finally left the room to check if theres anyone in the kitchen from the stairs. Before checking however i somehow decided to stare at the moon(the stairs connecting the first floor was from outside the terrace) and that was a mistake of mine. In the Philippines theres also a superstition that if you stare at the moon, someone from afar would use it as a way to channel their curse and if ur unlucky enough u might get affected. my grandma had warned me about it but idk why my brain was kinda fogged at that time and did it nevertheless. so i checked the kitchen after, right? the door was opened and theres a pair of slippers just outside of it. I recognized the slippers and assumed the owner was cleaning the dishes cuz it sounded lively behind that door. But who tf cleans the dishes in the middle of the fucking night?! Again, i wasnt scared and made my way downstairs, passed the kitchen door, and to the bathroom(thats convieniently separated from the entire house. God.) So heres when the weird thing happened. After doing my business, lighting strikes far away from where i was and that somehow made me jumped and then i was 100% sober. I quickly made my way up to sleep and thinking about it now, i remembered hearing nothing as i passed the kitchen door again. When I told my mom about what happened she said the owner of that slippers didnt even leave her room all night. So yea i can only assumed i was messed with for fun or there might something else i didnt know. To this day that experience baffles me everytime i tried to recall the details lol. Great video btw. Im a skeptic like you but who knows how may grannies had a heart attack if they ever saw your video haha
In my religion it says that the most loved places for demons are the desert, bathrooms and deserted houses So yeah I would probably assume that some demons were chilling in your kitchen
Well I clean dishes in the middle of the night. and eat, draw, walk, drink, rant to myself because I have no friends, draw more, think, sit in silence then sleep.
@@oktaviusrichardo911 apparently some superstitions are to prevent people from hurting themselves. i.e cutting nails at night cause if its dark you might cut yourself. other than that its prolly for teaching respect or manners?
i will always remember and try to forget my cousin, who was trimming her nails in the kitchen she is a good 12 years older than me, i told her, that's bad luck, i got yelled at, she said it's only bad luck if you snip your flesh people who invented that superstition didnt have decent lighting back then. idk, after that i never really spoke to her, it just brings back that memory of being scolded instead of what it is, just a bunch of people not having decent lighting who decided - not a good idea to trim your nails at night.
it's so funny that I've never heard of the cutting nails at night superstition because like 90% of the time now, I cut my fingernails at night in the bathroom because I always forget during the day or just procrastinated too much
You didnt really broke the #1 superstition. You see yourself in the mirror because you're the love of your life. or because you're destined to be single forever
As for number 7, I actually do hang the clothes overnight despite hearing the superstition from my grandma. The consequence? I get to mistake my grandpa's T-shirts as ghosts because THEY LITERALLY GLOW under the moonlight. I hate that window so much omfg
All superstitions arise from exaggeration or misunderstanding an event. The person who first came up with the laundry superstition probably had the same experience you did.
@@G2H_HellBringer to me I think this is still pretty well shot tho in low light. If you've handled film cameras before you'll know how grainy shit can get when filming

Bro you are walking on the street where lights are everywhere. Try to go on a dark forest or somewhere where no light available, and be sure to be alone.
The "paranormal" stuff in the ghost tour can be easily rationalized. 1. The windows would spike the emf reader because there most likely would have been something emitting emf, such as an electric blanket, behind the window. 2. The step was a coincidence 3. There were probably speakers triggered by one of the tour guides just in case someone tried to prove the "ghosts" wrong
@@koraiemon Why wouldn't it be? Coincidences happen. Also, the guides could just have said after it happened that this was exactly the place even if it wasn't.
I have unknowingly broken many of these superstitions, which makes me wonder if superstitions really only work in your specific culture or if you believe it. For example, I sleep with a fan on in my closed room almost every night, and nothing has happened to me. However, if somebody who truly believed that superstition were to engage in the behavior, would it be more susceptible to happening? Or vice versa, misfortune happening on the 13th floor of an American hotel, but not on the 13th floor of a Japanese hotel. Its interesting to think about
Not gonna lie, I'm more afraid of the local ghosts rather than ghosts from other countries. I guess proximity and the belief of the society you live in will probably affect your mentality 🤔
@@mobydmon7456 I'm not afraid of local ghosts, but I'm more afraid other countries like UK and others, I still have traumatic memories about the Conjuring and Annabelle 💀
The power of belief is real, though in what form it manifests is up to you to decide, be it just a form of psychological self-affirmation/self-fulfilling prophecy or a real force of sorts still unknown to us, physical or metaphysical. It's similar to the discussions of magick or prayer. Does it really work? Who's to say besides you decide for yourself.
I am South Asian no superstition worked on me. I have always had a big mirror across my room and slept with it no nothin happened to me- A black cat jumped up on our window exactly at 1 am which is 13:00 in digital time
I'm from the Philippines and I used to point to every tree I saw when I am in the rural areas where people strongly believe in these superstitions. I always get into trouble lmao. Even if you argue with logic and science people will still say just follow the belief💀
About the pointing at the moon one, I want to share my experience and theory. Because it really happened to me multiple times. My theory is that it only happens to female children (idk what age limit la ok) I have gotten 'cuts' under my earlobes many times when I was young, always after pointing at the moon. So I went and asked around right, my sister got it and so did my female cousin (this was when we were 12-13 I remember this very clearly). So I was examining her earlobe cut and she was describing to me how it stings. Its not like a papercut pain. Its itchy and throbs even without touching the area. The thing was I cannot see the wound, which actually was the same experience for me a few years prior (mid-pri). I told my mum about my earcut and she examined my ears right? No wound. Maybe a little red from me constantly touching it. But this earcut wound cannot be seen. So yea, take this with a grain of salt. I have not felt that pain ever since growing up, and no guys I asked around felt it before. Just my theory, based on my own experience.
When he talked about the part in pointing at trees, those are true here in the Philippines. Sometimes, when trees are cut, ghosts come and possess to look for a home. Because it is said before that many spirits are living in trees.
born into Malaysian family, it's the same. we were told not to piss near trees/bushes because spirits liked to live in them. or something something. if you've lived in south East Asian countries before I think you'd probably also believe in the supernatural
Ghost: we fear no one but that guy, it holding candle, kept walking, wishtling and pointing at our 🌲 🌲 🌲 it scared us all. Sushi: tree tree tree tree 💀 💀
For the pointing at the moon superstition, I used to point at the moon a lot of times on different days to like kinda debunk the superstition when I was younger. But one day, I woke up and behind my ears started to hurt but it went away the next day. I don’t know if it just me or not. From then on, I never really point at the moon that much but I still do it just not that much.
I had an almost similar experience. When I was small I pointed at the moon to show how beautiful it is to my mom and then next day when i had to go to a salon to cut my hair , my ear got cut and it bled quite a lot . For your information this happened twice and both times I pointed at the moon before going to cut my hair .
i found your channel a few days ago and have been binging! Love your sense of humor, even got my boyfriend watching with me and laughing and enjoying your humor. hello from east coast of usa!
I live at a hostel and I was woken up early and dragged into the dining area to see all the girls cluttering together and a local priest. They thought that the place was haunted and I got into a big argument with most of them cause their reasons weren't even that good. "The doors are slamming!" even tho we have drafts in the house "We can hear scratching in the walls" we recently installed a compost area and it attracts the occasional rat. "The pipes!" it's water! Turns out they had just been staying up till 3am almost every night and spooking themselves with shitty ghost stories. It took a week to mend all the bridges that were burned that day
Well idk but I think thats a you problem for being petty as fuck and arguing with them (?) Bet ur bein rude aswell if you were to share this story on the internet just to embarass them
2:16 this superstition was made because in earlier times their were no light bulbs so if people cut nails at night that could be dangerous for little children
Based on my observation, there are two types of people who believe in the existence of ghost: 1. Those who have experienced paranormal, or have the ability to sense their presence, either by sight, of hearing or by other senses. 2. Those who have experienced death, either the death of their love ones, or their own near-death experience. Those who don’t believe, probably never experienced any of the above. Why did I said so? Because death is a painful and scary experience, and most people would love to believe that, there is a life after death, to help us deal with grief and fear. And about superstition regarding ghost and spirits, I believe there’s two types as well: 1. Is to teach people to respect the death and those who are left behind. 2. Is just to scare children so that they’ll learn to behave themselves.
Sharing my own Asian superstition it is said that stepping and squishing rice will give you bad luck because it is a huge disrespect to rice farmers who have to peel the outer shell of every rice manually

Ppl from doing harmful things that are KNOWN & PROVEN to cause harm to humans then what makes any one think that superstitions that arent even widespread will be followed by every person of the country its originated from,
And if many from that country dont follow it and are fine then that obviously means that the superstition isnt right and it doesn't just affect a certain race afterall..
Obviously for ppl that believe it especially ppl like grandparents/older generations/even younger generation explaining all this isnt going to get them to stop believing in it unless you practically prove it and they might still not believe it after that..
But that doesn't matter as much as long as you understand that most superstitions were exaggerated for ppl sp they dont hurt themselves or cause inconvenience, and exaggeration probably used to be the easiest way to make ppl listen back then because
Back in the old days people were more influenced by, understood and remembered fear which is more stronger instinct
than logic which we humans learn more in modern era, thats what made the technological development possible and finally we use it to lot of times solve the things that make us afraid. (even tho its better to explain the reason to ppl and kids now)..

This really gives us an insight on how other countries see the world. This has been a wonderful experience.
It took a week to mend all the bridges that were burned that day
Well idk but I think thats a you problem for being petty as fuck and arguing with them (?) Bet ur bein rude aswell if you were to share this story on the internet just to embarass them
It's fascinating how people create problems that only exist in their heads.
2:16 this superstition was made because in earlier times their were no light bulbs so if people cut nails at night that could be dangerous for little children
“I’m alive… damn”
I feel that’s everyone’s wake up saying

Based on my observation, there are two types of people who believe in the existence of ghost:
And about superstition regarding ghost and spirits, I believe there’s two types as well:
Wait really? I thought machines did that
@@voidthevoidbehindtheslaugh6770 Well, not universally. Here in Indonesia a lot of farmers still peel them manually, especially in the countryside
We use a large sized mortar and pestle called sum and suk to do this
even countryside rice farmer peel the skin off with spining grinder made out of bicycle parts 😑 my grandparents is rice farmer and i often visit them. who the hell peel rice one by one?
Your right
