Wow I want one even at 72, I had an H2 in 1972 🤸♀️👍🏴
I had a 1975 H-2 , is this a three cylinder with one pipe on the left side ? I'm sure this would ride nicer , and handle like a Lady .
Without the fuel bill though, those bikes sucked fuel at an eye watering rate
@@keithad6485 - Yes they did. I, routinely, saw 24-25 mpg. Then I did the sort of dumb thing that you only do when you are 21, I decided to ride across the country. A friend described the saddle as “a thinly-padded two by four”. On a good day, I could manage 400 miles before I had to park it.
But, when I had it on Long Island, it was just the thing for smoking (literally) jacked-up Chevelles at stoplights.
@@bunkie2100 the Kwacka 750 did allow the rider to leave anyone for dust! A true hoon machine! I am not denigrating young hoons by the way.
Great idea. There are riders who want big power and a normal seating position.
Just my opinion, but I like it. No, it's not the original, but it does remind me of the original. I would buy one!
One detail not to be overlooked is that the tank doesn’t have a cheap looking pinch-weld, it’s cleanly sculptured like the original. Well done Kawasaki!
A 1000cc that looks like an old H2? Where do I sign
Too bad they can't make it a two-cycle motor can you imagine the acceleration and the Power band because a two-cycle has a very short rod which means a piston goes up and down quicker than a 4-cycle with a Long rod and the two cycle does not have to spin a camshaft and intake and exhaust valves which loses horsepower and takes more time for the Piston to complete its rotation not having spring valves and camshaft definitely makes a two-cycle perform way better
2 stroke ...where do I get one ...bet the 750 h2 could run down that 4 stroke 1000..bring em back scary as hell but when you grabbed that 2 stroke power band
That is a beautiful rebrand of a classic superbike.
@@JohnSmith-yv6eqWhat is a "faux retro"? A fake reproduction?
I don't think you know the meaning of the word, Skippy?
It is meant to be a retro but the essentials that made the original great the 2 stroke engine...has been replaced by a modern engine ...
faux:
made in imitation; artificial.
not genuine; fake or false

Always loved the H2s , especially that beautiful ‘72 blue . Goodbye to my Harley when this gorgeous bike comes out
My 2019 kz900rs cafe 💚 , keep it up Kawasaki your running the right way 🎯❣️😎
Oh please, it's a 4 stroke.
How can anybody not recognize the simple fact that that was what made the H2 so darn unique?
I can never get over how "looks" plays such a big part in motorcycling for some.
Trust me, the H2 was special for one reason. It was a large 2 stroke that had a powerband that made it seem insanely fast. It really wasn't very complicated nor super fast by today's standards. It was all about that sound and the associated thrill of riding and that powerband.
Absolutely agree! I owned Z6 50, 900, thousand stunningly beautiful designed bikes. As worth the H2 range, but they were two strokes. I really don’t see anything attractive about this new offering make a copy of the H2 in a two-stroke. But I do think the Z9RSis something special in my opinion, not original but very good. I think the design has missed the boat big style on this.
I can understand the looks thing. I haven't ridden mbikes in over thirty five years but just bought a bike the same year, model and colour as one I owned in the 1980s, looks are out of date but love the unique fairing looks, a BMW R100RT.
With a 2-stroke engine in it I'm *not* interested.@@Topnikko
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne Buy a f'n Goldwing then. Or maybe ride an original H2 and appreciate the bike for its unique character, which came from its engine, not just some throwback bodywork.
Ehh. Believe it when some solid info is officially released.
One thing is for sure, Kawasaki could use a little model lineup revamping, and restyling.
I remember the Kwacka two stroke 750 in the '70s. It was said that the fuel consumption was so high, the air vent in the tank cap whistled with the incoming replacement air! I think Kwacka should bring back the bullet proof Z1 900cc engine gour storke with its roller bearing crank, but with improved handling of modern bikes. I loved the howl of the 70s four into one exhausts at high revs and high speed. To hear it these days, have to watch the first Mad Max movie! The howl is memorable and can be spine tingling.
Well Kawasaki have put the original Z1 903cc and home market Z2 750 Cylinder heads back into production a very good thing so they are looking back at their History and not forgetting it.
What with the soon to be released retro kawasaki GpZ 900 R replica followed by this homage to the H2 they are on the right track add in the upgraded Z 500 and Ninja 500 models and they are pushing agressively.
Possibly due to the fact little known that Kawasaki Motorcycles have been spun off independantly from Kawasaki Heavy Industries about 18 months or so back so now they have to survive and grow from their own efforts without KHI backup that would explain these new models plus the hybrids coming out shortly.
Had a H2 in 74, have a 19 H2SX SE Brock now, still crazy at 73! The 1000 looks awesome!
Back in the 70's the Kawasaki H2 750 was a smokey powerful beast. Kawasaki hit a home run with the Z-1 900 bike that came out in the early 70's but the H2 two stroke model only made it to second base.
Hopefully coming to the market (such an eye candy)!!😃😃😃
Looks awesome, really like the twin pipes & the rear tail piece.
So nice they kept that same design and shape 👍👍👍
I'm proud to say, my dad ordered, and bought the first 69 Mach 3 brought into Canada( Korkan Motorcycles, Vancouver) Dad raced it, then my brother raced it, then at 16, I road it! THAT THING WAS A BEAST TO HANG ON TO!!!!!! Couldn't imagine what this would be like to ride!!!👍🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 Thanks Kawi 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful Bike. Bring it on Kawasaki.
Had a Brand New One In November 1972, It was my sixth motorcycle, and, believe It or not, i was 14 years old. 👊 😎
Got to have one. Looks great.
The 82 kz 1000 had that works bike look, it was awesome. 😎👍
I never had an old Tripple ... but at least I perhaps can have the new 1000 Mach X :) :) :)
It's another 4-stroke inline 4 with different bodywork. There is no substitute for the 2-stroke triple engine.
Kawasaki's were so powerful, love the retro styling.
They've managed to get the proportions right, unlike the 900 RS which has the tank and seat plonked on top like an afterthought.
Baby blue '72! Man that looks like a great throw back bike...and it has an E button!
Ive had 3 of these including my first in 1972 just like the one in the video here.
I know its not a two stroke which i prefer but this is still a great idea. The extra power would be awesome as the originals had 74hp from memory. Not sure the state of tune they would put in this but have to be more than the Z900 retro around 110hp one would think???
I had two 500cc , one 900z , I’m a Ducati fan , i have the superleggera , the desmosedici RR and 998R . This kawa i will take in an eyeblink
IF THEY BUILD IT I WILL BUY 1 I MISS THE OLD STYLE BIKES MY FIRST KAW WAS A Z 1 900 AND I LOVED IT
Had a 400 triple in '74...loved that bike
I have owned Kawasakis since my triples in the 70's. I currently ride a ZH2 SE, but would sell it in a heartbeat for this bike.
As a old KAWI RIDER from the 75 era ,I do like the retro H2 but a few better up grades would be nicer , like the new engine not be black , the rear tire -fender air gap is a little much ,they also could have added engine cooling fins just for retro looks (silver plastic) . I THINK this bike will sell well ,if and only if they don't over price the hell out of it . Better looking bike then all the jet eye bikes out there .
I rode a 750 when I was 18 and it was really fast but it had very dangerous traits. One that comes to mind is shutting down the throttle over 100 would induce a wild twitching wobble sure to get your attention. I removed the composite bushings from the swingarm and installed new ones and it still wanted to kill me. I sold it to a lady who was buying for her husbands birthday and felt sort of guilty , hopefully he had more birhdays.
Nice retro
I loved the flat seat on my ‘78. Allows for movement forward or back to suit your riding style/speed.
I hope the new machine handles better than the 500 & 750 Kawasaki’s.. I was there when they showed up back in the late 60s for the 500, and the early 70s for the 750. That 500 was known for being hard to start, putting out a smoke screen that would kill acres of mosquitoes, it rattled, I can still hear those pistons rattling in those air cooled bores.. I believe the claimed horsepower was around 50 hp.. The 750 Honda made its debut in 1969 and it made 59 hp. So it was pretty much a battle in the sales department for the $999 Kawasaki or the $1199 750 Honda with electric start…
The Kawasaki 500 triple soon got a reputation at the road race tracks as a horrible handler. I can still see them doing tanks slappers in my mind, I will never forget it. I roadraced motorcycles in those days.
I did not even want one of those machines. The 350 triple two-stroke Kawasakis. handled as good as the RDs, which were the kings of the race track in the 70s. But the triples could not survive crashes because of the width of the engine. That’s why they are so valuable today, there are so few survivors.
you can lament about the passing of the two-stroke era, but believe me these are the good old days. Those machines you were lucky to get 15,000 miles out of a set of pistons and rings, while you were at it, you might as well put new crank seals in those old Kawasaki triples…
I’ve had my share of suzuki, two strokes, Yamaha RDs, R5, DS seven, TZ250, RZ 350, TD2B, S2, a 7SS, A1, SS, H1 I even had a factory Road race H1R Kaw two-stroke, triple machine.. You learned to ride with two fingers on the clutch lever in those days
I remember Jap bikes in the 1970s, the expression to describe them was they handle like a bag of crap. One Aussie in the 1980s got to work to cure this, took his great handling Ducati Drama and put a Honda CB 750 in the frame, presto, reliability with the legendary handling of the Duke. He called it the Duconda! It was featured in an Aussie MBike magazine in the 1980s.
Love the style very cool old school looks with modern tech !!
Beautiful...... Currently loving my 95' nighthawk cb750... OOOPS that's honda. But i love this too. Love Motorcycles Love Love Love. 💥
Now that is one good looking bike, I'm sure that will sell well.
Super cool 👌🏻
Absolutely stunning well done Kawasaki
I owned a Mach III back when I worked at a Kawasaki dealership. Only rode it once to the dealership before selling it. Scariest handling bike I ever rode. So not sure how I feel about this one. Though sure would like to find a clean ZRX1200R as they feel different than the retro bike they sell now.
I had one back in the day. I recently walked by one at a bike show and it scared the hell out of me!
Yes please!
Hell yeah, a bike that doesn't look as though it's been crashed
I want to see the left view.
Absolutly to buy!!!❤
If it will look, like the render, I want one!
That is a super sweet looking bike.
The only think that i don’t like is the shape of engine. But the bike is stunning. Love it.
Beautiful retro styling, is it a four piper?
Beautiful
I had a 72 H1 the same color blue
and I loved that Bike, I really like the looks of the 2025 model that is possibly coming that's going to be awesome !❤💯
Now if they can get to same sound. Unforgettable if you'd had one. I did.
Needs to be in green !
Hell yeah its about time 👏👍😊 How about updating the H2 launching it again yeah!!!
It should be a 3 cylinder with 3 pipes. I prefer the tear drop profile tank and decals of the later model H1 and H2. My H1 was the classic green. Perhaps it can be loud and blow huge amounts of smoke when warming up too haha
Why is this gona be great. Finally a real motorcycle with a proper seat.
Gorgeous will buy one! Black with orange and white stripes will kill it
Alan Millard has already made a proper 5 cylinder 1000cc two stroke
I know it will never happen but I would love it if Kawasaki brought back the Z1300.
I love the old bike look. SO BEAUTIFUL
Yes please! Would be great if Kawasaki could produce something very similar. 750 & 500cc models would also be great. Could this be the model that starts a ‘70’s’ trend among the big four.
Wise up
That is a gorgeous bike ! I want one 😎
The Old but New Powered 💪
WOW! Nice! I love that style of motorcycle! Where can I get one??
Don't put a de-tuned slug of an engine in it.
Either a full power ZX10Rrr eningine.
Or a sweet supercharged unit.
Nice but needs to be twin shocks
Count on a heavy bike if that's done. You have to have a strong rear frame structure to deal with the twin shock forces. Monoshock is the way to go.
Looks crook mono shock a bit more weight yeah but how good was the ZRX1100 1200
I agree with the original comment. The W800, Thruxton, Bonneville etc, all retro bikes that kept dual rear shocks to maintain a traditional profile.
Hope this will happen really. If yes, please add a central stand ! I'll buy it !
I'll take one thanks.
Wow, I want a 2 stroke.
Comes with accessory crippling fuel bill. Those 750 two strokes used fuel so fast it was said the air vent on the fuel cap whistled with the incoming replacement air!
I want a Main Force Patrol version. Goose and his mad Kwaka!!❤😂
Yes! with that four into one exhaust howl at full song! gotta watch Mad Max 1 these days to hear that howl!
Will buy if it comes to Sweden!
Love it,heres my deposit 💰💵
I ride a KTM 300 two stroke dirt bike. It is counterbalanced so it barely vibrates, with it's power valve it has a nice wide powerband and makes right around 50 horsepower at the wheel. I fantasize about a 900cc 150 horsepower two stroke triple made with 3 of those KTM 300 jugs in a suitable track ready sport chassis. Now that would be an H2 update!
A friend had a resto modded H2 with Fast By Gast pipes, head and cylinder work and round slide carbs. The ultimate power output from it's weed whacker tech piston port engine wasn't terribly impressive by modern literbike standards, but the H2 was all about "personality". The power came on hard, and I immediately understood why people met their maker on those bikes as the chassis wasn't up to it and neither were the tires back then. It's popcorn popper from Hell off kilter wail sounded evil - surely Satan has an H2 in his collection! I liked it a lot - so did somebody else, he recently sold it for 40K.
I do like the flat seat retro standard layout and lack of insectoid style. Would like to see a bikini fairing option as the windblast from upright seating on fully naked bikes will wear ya out at speed. This could be a fun project with the usual ECU flash, airbox therapy and full exhaust and suspension work. Nothing ever stays stock in my world 😂
classic
I would like to see a double cradle frame and twin shocks on it. I know it would add weight and maybe a bit more expense, but would more capture to the classic look.
owned a 1969 H1 500, A 1975 500 and the best looking bike Kawasaki ever made a 1976 KZ900....That's the look the need to bring back IMO.
I like it
Now that looks like a motorbike and not something built from a box of spares.
I ant one!😍
Worked for Mustang,Camaro and Challenger, why not a bike. But what took them so long? 😎
Didn't get the bike bug till about 1980. Road everything I could find after that, and many of the big bikes from the '70. I preferred the Kz1000 over the Suzki GS1000.
Return of the widow maker
Looks cool. Won’t be selling my z900rs but if I was looking for a new bike, I’d have it!
Does anyone remember kerker 4into1 headers on the fours man they were sweet and loud 👍
Kawasaki knows how to do retro right!
The 70,s bikes look so much better without modern designers obsession : massive gap between tyre & rear bodywork.
The Z1 was the best looking bike ever.
Not too shabby.
Très belle moto de chez Kawasaki ❤❤❤
If only it would bring my body back to my youth and not just my mind! Alas, no “ring, ding, ding” two stroke scaring the bejeezus out of you as it whips through the powerband.
Classic styling, smooth lines, what a motorcycle should look like. Most new motorcycle are full of triangular shapes that look out of place and IMHO are ugly. I see a great future for this style of motorcycle.
Yes
Wow ! I like that. Sell me one. That bike is cool
And THAT, my friends, is how you do retro style.
Irresitible !!
I've vapor blasted a lot of H2 engines. This would be very interesting with updated brakes and handling.
A straight copy of the 1983 Kerker that was greené Real nice and powerfull bike.
I'm 68 now, had a 72 in 72, smoken fast, this 1000 is awesome. I would love to own one.
I am 68 also never had the H2, but had my first Z1A in 1974 and have had them ever since, selling the last my Z's just two weeks ago.
