I honestly prefer taking the cv90120 since it's cheaper and I find it more fun to play. Although for some reason I perform better playing strv122b plss over the 122a. Also yes Russia is really strong and I hate dealing with 5 ka50s at the same time.

3bm42 will only penetrate the 2a5/6’s ufp under absolutely perfect circumstances. if you’re at a slight angle, then there’s not even a point in shooting there.

m/95 APFSDS on Swedish top tier MBTs when If these things get that round, they'll be the best in the game. Hands down. Update: As of the February 2022 economy changes, the Strv 122B now has an 11k SL spaded rep cost instead of 13k. Not that much of a change but cool... I guess?
I say it'll be better than the 2A6. Sure, m/95 may not be as good as DM53 but it'll still be a competitive round. It's not invincible but is more likely to come out of a fight relatively unscathed than anything else. Just my opinion and you're welcome to disagree :3
The Strv 122s need a decrease in repair cost and to get Slpprj m/95 (Same round as on CV 90120). Adding the Strv 122b+ Evolution would really help 11.0 Sweden. I can understand not giving Sweden their real life round a year or two ago but now everyone has roughly equal ammo but Sweden is left out. If it'll really make the tanks too good then they can always just move it up in BR to 12.0 or something. Also if you're wondering the Slpprj m/95 round is the Israeli M322 round (Found on the Merkava MK 3D) but in Swedish service.

Well, when it comes to the Russians dominating, it comes from the heavier reliance for Russian teams to stick to being on the ground where they will tend to dominate when the other side tries to spawn air only for minimum effect. It doesn’t help that Russian armor is a bit over performing while a bunch of western 105 and 120 shells are underperforming. For example, I’ve posted previously about the issues faced in game by French OFL 120 which bears incorrect shell weight and thus loses penetration from the loss of density. All of the Swedish Strv 122s should have m/95 as a top round, but they haven’t yet received it. A number of NATO/Western tanks also have artificially nerfed mobility from incorrect torque, leading to poorer acceleration and neutral steering. Etc. etc.
Or how that a bunch of NATO tanks, America in particular, is a decade or two older than their Russian counterparts at the same BR. The M1A2 is from the early 90s with Gen 1 thermals (despite the model in game being a later version which should provide it Gen 2’s) while the Russian 72B3 and 80BVM are from just a few years ago, and only in limited numbers with Gen 2 and 3 thermals. Or how both the 80B and 80U get an Agava thermal sight despite main production variants never had them because of a number of issues with procurement.
the 122’s should not get m/95. it would be like a t-80bvm but more survivable and with an actual reverse gear. also, i’m pretty sure gaijin models acceleration by horsepower, not torque. correct me if i’m wrong though.
I mean, it makes sense because Russia gets a such a large variety of vehicles, low repair costs, and some of the easiest to obtain top tier CAS in the game. I main Japan, and after 2 months, I’m still no where near the AH-64DJP. I also know that the grind for the Tiger UHT is also a massive pain to grind. The only tree that can challenge Russia in CAS is America, but I can’t really say anything there as I’ve never played America. I just wish the Japanese could get a better SAM system but idk what it would even be. Type-03 would be a bit much, so maybe the type 81 could work? It is a bit older than the type 93 though.
This makes me dread Italian top-tier. I'm back on the ground grind since spading the whole air tree, picking up all of the vehicles I've missed since they added the Dardo and spading them. I have 10.7 ready to start, and I am in absolutely no hurry to do HEATFS stock grind in the current environment. Russia is dominating, stock performance is a joke, and Italy isn't in a good place anyway.
Apfsds doesn't spall inside Russian MBTs even when shooting non-era protected locations, go test it with a friend or xray, same apfsds can rain an Abrams with spall but only 1-2 spalling for a Russian tank
If I had to guess that’s a holdover from back when russian top tier tanks had pretty low winrates and gaijin forgot to undo that buff when winrates started shooting up

@@LRCROSS Slpprjm/95 is swedish designation for israeli M322 (Merkava 3D), which italy has under designation CL3143 (Arietes C1 etc.) All exacly same ammo, so penetration would be 589 since its from an L44, unlike CV90120 which uses L52 gun

giving back stock apfsds will be a bad idea and I guarantee most of the community will disagree with putting it back to stock (since your playing Russia I would recommend learning how to us HE rounds its much more reliable than HEAT and much more satisfying to use), I'd recommend watching Ruski9000 :)

Russian base pen model is bugged so shots that suppose to kill them bounce and they can kill you so their model is buggy surviving shots that normally would kill them

It's safe to say the Russian mbt armor is just as good or better and it has better rounds. Probably cuz of the Russian player base crying about "cyka ____ is overpowered". In a nutshell, Russia wins most of the times because the T80s and T90s with ERA Relict can easily deflect even the most powerful shell DM53 of the game, in the time you aim the breach or lower plate russia mbts can easily pen you on all the hull of Chally, Leo2a6, type 90 type 10, Ariete, Leclerc and so on. When they die after 3 kills in a rush, they spawn Ka50 Ka52 Mi28 with those AGMs, or the Migs and Sus with guided bombs. Most of the time, if the game is Russia and USA against Ger, Ger loses; if it is Russia Ger vs USA, USA loses.

the ufp of the 122’s are immune to every shell in the game. the ufp of the 2a5/6 is very weak in comparison, and can be penetrated by every 11.0 shell, which can result in an instant kill if you aim to the left of the ufp, which is a big difference.

Russian mbts are more numerous at high tier, mostly faster, lower profile, and better armour, true their main and only drawback is terrible reverse speed but they outclass NATO tanks in every aspect even in hull down combat where nato tanks are supposed to be unbeatable. Besides their support vehicles are much better, strike aircrafts, helicopters, ifvs, all this combined makes Russia in game virtually unbeatable Also for some reason Russian engines are stealthier than other nations

Let swedens top tier stay not just the most expensive, but actually 20-25% more expensive than any other nations top tier repair cost average while also having less than average silver earning AND 17 frickin centimeters less penetration than the 2A6. But don't fricking get some nations highest-by-far risk and lower than average reward at the same time as being the only country without an offensive round worth mentioning. Russia is stomping everything since December 2021. There must be an update wich they didnt comunicate with the community, like they always do. It seems in that stealth update they buffed Contact armor alot and changed post pen damage. Im pretty sure since then russia got stronger. That update must have happened before the chrismas event started. Im playing regulary germans and russians so i did notice a change but couldt find anything in the patchnotes! The fact that russian tanks are the cheapest in game and now the beefiest also, makes this game a joke.
Gaijin is probably overcompensating for that time when russian top tier winrates were lower than average. Literally a year ago Russia had one of the lowest top tier winrates.

The reason is balance, it can't have both the best top tier armor and top tier firepower, it is balanced around its armor, Leopard 2A6 has DM53 but doesn't have the same armor as Strv122B, you should know this, if it had top tier APFSDS it would be OP AF.

I believe the problem is not that russian is OP the problem lays with the player base, too many players just quit after 1 or 2 death or those PL or XM1 players that just run into enemy fire and leave the game. Other issue is the silly idea of revenge kill someone in an aircraft in top tier, 8/10 times u will die before even reaching the battlefield. Again is not that russians are OP but if u play with russians or against them, pay attention how many times they keep coming into the battle with tanks. i have seen USA done the same thing over the time, keep pumping those tanks out but many players just quit and thats an issue with the player not russian tanks. In a full 11.0 lineup i always end up bringing the CV90120 instead of the Strv-122. it's just not competative enough.

giving back stock apfsds will be a bad idea and I guarantee most of the community will disagree with putting it back to stock (since your playing Russia I would recommend learning how to us HE rounds its much more reliable than HEAT and much more satisfying to use), I'd recommend watching Ruski9000 :)

Russian base pen model is bugged so shots that suppose to kill them bounce and they can kill you so their model is buggy surviving shots that normally would kill them
This beast should receive a buff in firepower but look at it from Gaijin's perspective, they think that since it has some incredible protection thehn it's justified to have DM33 as its top shell so end of discussion but come on, it's about time it gets something new, DM33 might be good but it isn't good enough for 11.0.
It's safe to say the Russian mbt armor is just as good or better and it has better rounds. Probably cuz of the Russian player base crying about "cyka ____ is overpowered". I mean look at the chally 2 " oh it's better armor", and then they fucking nerfed it to the ground. No reason to touch it again when you have the other challies that aren't 74.5 tons

In a nutshell, Russia wins most of the times because the T80s and T90s with ERA Relict can easily deflect even the most powerful shell DM53 of the game, in the time you aim the breach or lower plate russia mbts can easily pen you on all the hull of Chally, Leo2a6, type 90 type 10, Ariete, Leclerc and so on. When they die after 3 kills in a rush, they spawn Ka50 Ka52 Mi28 with those AGMs, or the Migs and Sus with guided bombs. Most of the time, if the game is Russia and USA against Ger, Ger loses; if it is Russia Ger vs USA, USA loses.

Maybe when this tank was introduced yeah but now that all nations have superior rounds I dont think the 122 getting slapperjack would affect the meta in any serious way.
the ufp of the 122’s are immune to every shell in the game. the ufp of the 2a5/6 is very weak in comparison, and can be penetrated by every 11.0 shell, which can result in an instant kill if you aim to the left of the ufp, which is a big difference.
What do you mean not that good compared to German Leopards? It has way better hull armor with the same exact turret. Leopard 2's hulls are paper at top tier.

Russian mbts are more numerous at high tier, mostly faster, lower profile, and better armour, true their main and only drawback is terrible reverse speed but they outclass NATO tanks in every aspect even in hull down combat where nato tanks are supposed to be unbeatable.
Besides their support vehicles are much better, strike aircrafts, helicopters, ifvs, all this combined makes Russia in game virtually unbeatable

Let swedens top tier stay not just the most expensive, but actually 20-25% more expensive than any other nations top tier repair cost average while also having less than average silver earning AND 17 frickin centimeters less penetration than the 2A6. I'm perfectly fine with Gaijin wanting to make some countries "low risk/low reward" vs some "high risk/high reward". But don't fricking get some nations highest-by-far risk and lower than average reward at the same time as being the only country without an offensive round worth mentioning. DM33 is fine as a starter round for the 122B, but the best it can get? Gaijins balancing statistics is nothing but a joke. All numbers taken from the latest economic balance change btw., so this is AFTER having gotten a lot better than it used to be a couple of days ago.

Russia is stomping everything since December 2021. There must be an update wich they didnt comunicate with the community, like they always do. It seems in that stealth update they buffed Contact armor alot and changed post pen damage. Im pretty sure since then russia got stronger. That update must have happened before the chrismas event started. Im playing regulary germans and russians so i did notice a change but couldt find anything in the patchnotes!
The fact that russian tanks are the cheapest in game and now the beefiest also, makes this game a joke.
Gaijin is probably overcompensating for that time when russian top tier winrates were lower than average. Literally a year ago Russia had one of the lowest top tier winrates.

They 1 shot me constantly, they shoot me through steel containers and buildings, I've multiple times been literally 10 feet broadside to tanks and had 3 shots plus machine gun fire on them and do ZERO damage nor does it register that I'm hitting them at all, ghost shots from hell, shots that I should kill them with are just doing minor damage etc on and on. And is it a coincidence that it's a Russian companies game? I seriously doubt it. I've heard where people have seen the game files and it's been proven that Russians get certain secret "modifiers" that we're not supposed to know about or it's not openly reported by Gaijin, giving Russia better reload rates, better armor protection, etc, which is straight up cheating. I haven't looked myself but if it's true, they should gather as many players as possible and form a lawsuit. The reason is balance, it can't have both the best top tier armor and top tier firepower, it is balanced around its armor, Leopard 2A6 has DM53 but doesn't have the same armor as Strv122B, you should know this, if it had top tier APFSDS it would be OP AF.

I believe the problem is not that russian is OP
the problem lays with the player base, too many players just quit after 1 or 2 death or those PL or XM1 players that just run into enemy fire and leave the game.
Other issue is the silly idea of revenge kill someone in an aircraft in top tier, 8/10 times u will die before even reaching the battlefield. Again is not that russians are OP but if u play with russians or against them, pay attention how many times they keep coming into the battle with tanks.
i have seen USA done the same thing over the time, keep pumping those tanks out but many players just quit and thats an issue with the player not russian tanks.
