Looking at this animal's body language and just listening to the sounds they're making, this lil guy is scared and maybe a bit lonely. Foxes have a strong familial bond, they're not pack animals per se, but when mating seasons rolls around the vixen and the dog (that's apparently what we call male foxes) start having kits, the family unit stay together until all the kits are raised. A baby fox is not meant to be all alone, at all.
I saw the pup as afraid and calling out. I could hear and see that it was also responding to fox calls coming from a ross the river. Recordings like this help to explain sounds I hear sometimes at night in south east Wisconsin.
That first noise is definitely what I heard in the woods yesterday. Thought it was a big bird lol. I’ve seen foxes there too BTW so it wasn’t that random.

He is so beautiful and his little cry is just amazing. I just love all the foxes they are so smart and so beautiful and I hate that they're taking away their areas to live. We have two in a den behind my neighbor's yard and I have seen them at night hunting. These little creatures deserve to have room to grow and thrive.

None of them are cats, but they're also not "dogs" in the sense of our common household pets. They are their own category of animal, within the larger family of dog-like animals

Now about a month later i have a messed up sleep schedule and im near my window and i hear what sounds like a small animal in distress like in the alleyway behind my house. It suddently started and i was like.. hmm. Does any one have a explination of what it could be based apon what ive commented also it sounded like a mix of a mini cockatoo and a baby fox like in this video. And the fox i saw was not a red fox but more like one of those smaller arid climate foxes.
I live in the country and I just heard a sound like this I can't say for sure it was a fox but I know for sure it wasn't a dog or cat because what I heard sounded like this a baby fox the noise i heard was trying to howl like a fox but couldn't so it tried to howl as long as it could but it never stopped in between the howls to take a breath and I don't know how to explain the good so here goes if you rewind and listen for the few seconds of the beginning of this video the sound sounded like that clicking noise it was like a screech like that that's the best I can explain
nice, we have a coyote family at our factory, there is a lot of land around it, they keep the rats and mice from making homes in and around out plant, very helpful.

The call the kit is using, the warbling "wah-wah-wah-wah", is a Summoning Call. He's calling out for mom and dad to come find him and feed him.
The mom or dad was in an alfalfa field close by.
He also has his tail between his legs so I think he’s scared too
