Just trying mirror stamping for the first time. Started card making Jan of 2018, figured it’s about time I learned how. Maymay made it and you have been so helpful. Your card is beautiful and natural looking. Tfs
Loved both these cards. Great tip for mirror stamping. It's not something I've tried as it always looked more effort then I could be bothered to put in but you made it look easy, so I'll give it a go.
Thanks for the tip, Laurel. Just FYI, you can also do the mirror stamping with a gel press plate or any other silicone surface. The water media mat is wonderful, but a bit pricey IMO.
What about using a small gelli plate or one of the minis instead? I haven’t tried it, but it seems like it would work, with the added advantage that you can see through it.
FINALLY SOMEONE FIGURED OUT TO DO A REALLY GREAT MIRROR IMAGE!!! Whoo HOO! I am so thrilled about this as I too have messed around a ton of times with no satisfaction. Thanks Laurel. I am so appreciative! Also I like the loose watercoloring you do with no apologies! Ha! I can feel myself loosening up! Lol.
The mirror stamping is something I'd love to try. Would it be easier if you did the mirror first then you could see where you have to stamp? Thank you for your time sharing your knowledge to help others. Joan UK
Hi Laurel 👋 WOW thank u so much for taking the time to share such a gorgeous card 👍 😀 the stamping and watercolor went so well together I loved it....but I couldn't get the deer 2 match up as good as u did 😔 the card u made would make a lovely Christmas card please keep up the really fab tutorials and hopefully more watercolor tutorials 2 ....hope u and all your family have a great weekend 👍🦋💞 Lin in South Wales uk x
You can use any silicone mat (try the dollar store), the back of a stamp that has a large flat surface (they also have mirror imaging stamp sets but you don't really need them)

Wow ! Sure gotta try this. Looking forward to lots of reflections in lakes.
Love both the cards, but the card on the left was my favorite. Love the mirror image stamping. It turned out so amazing!
Very cool! Question though - doesn't the CP midnight ink stain the water media mat? I have trouble mirror stamping because of the staining ugh!
I didn't use a permanent ink for that reason so I would not recommend using Midnight ink as it is permanent. . I use a pigment ink (onyx black).
@@LaurelBeard Awesome - thanks for clarifying.
Amazing!! Love this technique! Your card is wonderful, and the watercolors are gorgeous!♥️
