I suggest for the Ableton users to look at Touchable as well. I use it in my Productions all the time. Great touch x/y pads. All preset workstations. Simple connection to Ableton.
I'd love to see more in-depth Lemur / Ableton and even Max4Live integration. Particularly how to do live dubstep bassline manipulation. (wobble presets, etc)
Useful video that got my Lemur app working with Live 9. Critical feedback: delivery is too fast, so lots of pausing and rewinding required, which is annoying when watching on a smartphone. Also the full steps on setting up the I/O in Daemon are missing, which I worked out but wasn't completely intuitive.
I don't know this for a fact, but in a live situation you could try using your laptop to create an adhoc wireless network. Then connect your iPad to it. Presumable you'd have a laptop for this.
when i create a network from my laptop it connects from the ipad system preferences but the lemur does not appear to the lemur app on OSX, if i change to my home wifi on both laptop and ipad it works.. any ideas what could that be? awesome tutorial, thank you very much
Too bad there is no trial possibility... I would really like to know how responsive it is. Can I control effects on the beat? Let's say, can I put a song at 120bpm and tap a cutoff filter at 16th notes?
How should I go about if I want to sync my project bpm with, say, the new step-sequencer that comes with Lemur? I'm using it to control my MS20 Mini and being able to set the tempo straight from Ableton Live would be great, together with transport-controls like Play/Pause (if that's possible).
Very well put together tutorial, but as somebody who has no clue what lemur is, trying to figure it or, watching you rush through the interface, and assign random things to random places, it doesn't seem to help me build knowledge, it's making me want to go to a different tutorial to figure out how to actually use lemur.
FOR ALLLLLLLL PC USERS. READ THIS. YOU NEED A THIRD PARTY APP CALLED LOOP MIDI OR LOOP BE FOR THIS TO WORK. IVE WASTED ALOT OF MY TIME FINDING THIS OUT. I HOPE TO GOD YOU DONT.
Thanks for this!

Such a pain to setup but once you got it going it's worth it. Good vid thanks, Cheers!

hej, does this also work with pc instead of a mac. If so, do you need Itunes or just the software you spoke about. Thanks.

I get how you mapped the on/off button of Autofilter but you didn't explain how you mapped the cutoff & resonance, what did you press on iPad?
