As someone with PTSD induced bouts of agoraphobia the panic attack scenes were so fucking real lmao. I used to cower under my window in case a neighbor walked by and saw me to the point I got a wellness check to see if I was dead in my room. Not a lot of good horror media that touches on agoraphobia well so this was a delight.
I began to figure out the twist just as noelle got the bad news. The cat was being eaten by crows but then it's perfectly fine, but then we saw the flyier with Noelle. You saw the snow man's head fall off but it's back where it was. The guy was always getting gas even during a bad storm, gave hints that his sense of time is way off. When he mentioned his sister ran away and Noelle and her mom both asking "again" and speaking of how she did it a month before coinciding with the time he shut himself in. The priest who visited was the older man who had been there when his sister was a baby not the new one we see getting yelled at by mrs Porter whom Phil said just arrived a bit before he shut himself in. The insufficient funds, Noelle pointed out that it can't be closed without consent so no way the father could do it. The heater running out of gas meaning the gas bill had also not been paid for the whole house not just his little heater. At first I thought "ok did he snap and kill his parents to protect Piper? I know they're dead." But i didn't suspect that it was him suffering severe ptsd. Overall this shows how well they plotted it out to drop hints and show you ahead of time rather than pull a twist out of thin air trying to be clever. I love a great mystery that can spell out the answer to you at the start but you're so caught up in the story you don't notice the clues. A great game. I try not to expect them to top their previous games but i truly can't wait for what they do next.
What a powerful story. Man. I wonder just how long he was shut in his room, with that scene literally frozen in time downstairs. I actually loved that twist of that being the reason he physically couldn’t leave the room, rather than straight agoraphobia
I would agree with forcing Phil out of his room and getting him psychological help he desperately needs. I mean, if you’re at a point where your quality of life is severely affected and you’re sh*tting in a bucket, somethings gotta give.
I have a bad habit of commenting before the video ends…. I can definitely sympathize with Phil more now and his decision to never come out of his room.
Haven't watched the vid yet but I do want to take a moment right quick to say we are really appreciating these frequent uploads. Specially now because man- the price of living skyrocketing seemingly every week is making life pretty stressful boss.
i think that phil's great love of horror movies, hinted at by him and noelle watching them together frequently, colored a lot of his perceptions looking outside the window, which is why he would see blood or he'd imagine the figure with the gun at brian's or his suspicions of the church. it's kinda refreshing to see a horror game in which the mentally ill person ISNT the bad guy, though. speaking as someone with psychotic symptoms and agoraphobic symptoms and all of that, it's a bummer always being the bad guy. so i liked phil. even if he was an asshole towards the end about noelle leaving to see her dad.
Right off the bat, this game is resonating with me. I've been in a bad place for a few months now. I'll save further comments until after I finish the video.
I think this is actually the best Midnight Scenes game! Like others have said, it was a nice change from "you are the bad dad" or the "you killed everyone you are the bad guy". The straw doll and some other things might be references to other games but I don't remember. I feel like the straw doll is either a teaser for the next game or referencing an old one.
Midnight Scenes is a great series. You should play The Manny and them From the Woods. The stories are tied together so you’re going to have to play them in order
Oh I love magpies, we had them all over when I was staying in Montana, cute little fellas - it was a little sad the first time I got close to one because it was standing in the middle of a freeway staring at another one that had been struck by a car, I found out they hold "funerals" for other magpies - or more like little avian murder investigations. I saw a bird detective at the crime scene. XD Corvids are crazy smart.
Comment and Engagement, et cetera. This kind of story is powerful, because things similar can happen. Not exactly like, not quite so severe, sometimes with a real different twist, but they do happen. I had a classmate who ended himself, and it's - yeah. You go through all kinds of stuff, even if you're only tangentially involved
Give me all the pulps, and, -19°c is not a cold wave, this Phil dosen't know what COLD is - -44°c is cold!!! It's the lowest I've ever felt and I was walking to go to work.🎉🎉
I think it's weird no one noticed the family missing for a month. Considering they had work/school to go to 🤔 (Also kravin if u play the other games you missed, play the nanny first, then from the woods since they are connected)
Piper ran away a lot, missed tons of school and the father is something of a social pariah for what happened to the company that he inherited, and the mother was clearly just going along with whatever the dead did. Also, allot of really bad snowstorm, some, based on the news or whatever, is once per lifetime. Sure, that's a lot all at once, but its fiction. I know the people who live around me, but it can even go a month that I don't happen to see them (unless its summer).
That was a great game, so I am guessing that something happened between phil and his dad that caused him to develop schizo and its obvious cuz he kept hearing voices in his head and having a monologue to himself. And since he never got help the voices kept getting stronger and caused him to plunge into depression. So the story took a very dark turn, and I was not expecting the twist... that was a mind fuck. But seriously the abusive dad was the entire reason for all these. But why hadn't anyone notice the smells after all these time? That was the most nonsense part of the story.
@50:50 Really? Is that confirmed? Because I don’t understand that when the Daredevil and the Kingpin from the Netflix (now Disney+) Daredevil series are the ones being used in the MCU continuity, as seen in the She-Hulk and the Hawkeye series. And since Disney now owns Fox Studios, and hence the Deadpool and X-Men series, wouldn’t the Elektra from that Daredevil show also be the one used, not the one from the old movies? Or this going to be another multiverse thing that’s, with the exception of Spider-Man: No Way Home, getting kind of annoying lately?
So I think part of the story deals with the destruction of all of the Fox marvel universes. She has been rumoured to be in the movie as far back as October last year, but who knows?
@@MrKravinAh, yeah, so more multiverse stuff. Hopefully, they’ll be through with that, for the most part, once they integrate Deadpool and the X-Men movies, I guess?
If the cop were like a real cop he'd be in the drive way a few minutes, long enough to hear the gunshots, which he could hear down the road, bit if a plot hoke but great story regardless
Yep, after go’ogling around I didn't realize that Simmy Krotiel's Bigger Blueprint was updated and you can make it bigger even faster, yep, what Simmy suggested before was pretty good, but now it can grow up to 4 ins, I managed 3 ins myself and I feel like a monster lol
Also, it frustrates me when Noelle tells her mother Phil’s parents don’t care about him when his mother makes him his favorite breakfast every morning just for him not to eat it. Imo, he’s very ungrateful. Sorry lmao. I’m salty about this one. So glad Noelle called him out when he was being a selfish pr*ck.
So the father didn't cancel his bank account... the money just ran out.

The problem is the parents are dead no one can take him out
@@行動賓周 yep. I have a tendency to post too early on videos before I watch all the way through. Otherwise, I’d have known that lol.
Damn, what a twist. I thought the nightmares were literal paranormal manifestations and were haunting him, which was why he wouldn't leave his room.
Every assumption I made was incorrect and I love that!

Definitely one of the best games you’ve played for us.
I had to choose between a movie or this before going to bed and I’m glad I chose this.

This was great. Looking forward to more from Midnight Scenes.
Daaaaam what an incredible game! I did not expect the twist, these Midnight Scene games are awesome!

It's a reference to the preceding episode which is otherwise unrelated.
This was sooo GOOD definitely didn't think it would end like this 😮
the problem with bottles over time the pee will make a hole in it the pee will be everywhere that's why i use glass jars much stronger than plastic
i empty my jar in the back yard

That was quite the twist.
Such a great game! Also magpies are so freaking cute! When I first saw them, I thought they were some exotic bird gotten loose 😂

Second here, just finished your Inside gameplay again I love your play throughs :)
I like the pixel horror atmosphere.
Great game and story. Thank you Mr.Kravin for another fun playthrough!
Dang- that was really good story telling. I love midnight scenes.
Definitely adding this to my wish list at least.
The other games in the series are fantastic. Please play them! You’ll love each one.
This was somewhere between "Omori" and "Joker" in the twist and feeling. Excellent. 👍
I'm at 8 min and this is just Asmongold simulator so far
Phil starts complaining about things being "too woke" while shitting in a bucket
Loved the game and gameplay. Phenomenal
That game was wild!!
The MST3K guys do Rifftrax now, and they do modern movies! The Twilight series is Hilarious!! ❤
What a story man!!! Oh my god!!!!
Yeah I like pulp in my orange juice too Kravin.
Well that was certainly not what I was expecting.
I had to close my eyes on the piper off herself...omg
I'm third here! I've been watching you play games for a long time! Thank you for keeping everyone entertained over the years!!!!
Unrelated but ur skin looks amazing Kravin!
I've been moisturizing~

so no one heard the gunshots?
If you want to do the nanny and from the wood i recommend do the nanny first since from the wood is a continuation or story explanation to the nanny

I was very excited to watch this, I love yhis devs games/this series but I had to take breaks. It was a hard watch.
i like this video is really good
