2840 Workhorse Chinese Tractor Project. Brakes!! Part 3.

On this 2004 2840 Workhorse (Foton 254) tractor, I show the brakes in all of their oily glory. There is plenty of braking material above the rivets, yet the left brake shoes cannot reach out far enough to engage the brake drum. A set of new brake shoes and seals from Kenotractors.com just arrived in time for the next brake repair video.

Even though the brakes are soaked in oil, the right brake can still lock the tire up while driving on dirt. Only one road in the area is paved. I'll test the brakes on that road when I get the tractor back together.

The one shoe has a worn off at the actuator pin if you look at it you will see it’s worn or broken so only one shoe is moving out properly not expanding enough to fill the drum with enough pressure to work
