Good to hear you had a great time, I did too. Everyone I met was really nice - I had planned to meet Warwick Davis but when I was queuing up I noticed that he'd upped his prices significantly from what was advertised so I left, especially after hearing how he's been with people at recent events. I regret not meeting him at Wales Comic Con a few years back now, he was charging £35 then - now it's £75! Overall a good day, once I'd managed to find everyone - as nobody working there seemed to know where various guests were either! Lucky you going to London, wish I could go!!!
Oh Glad you had a good time and I never heard of a guest actually uping the price in between the day of them being there That's crazy but yeah I didn't have the best time when I met him for Nottingham one but glad you had a good time It was definitely chill event
Liverpool always do a great comic cons - only been to 2 last year (In May and November) Yeah managed to meet Freya Allen and Alex Vincent aswell both great people. Also managed to meet Steve Whitmire, Peyton List, Zach Galligan, Jason Issacs etc. Decided to book a last min photo op with Freya Allen later that day, don't regret it at all.
I only met Steve Whitmire and Ricky Tomlinson, both of whom were fantastic! There were several other guests I would love to have met, but it just wasn't be possible for me due to the over the top prices. I wasn't gonna risk throwing myself into financial debt, like some people would have. I had over £150, and by the time I spend some of it on Steve and Ricky. There was just £40 left, and that was only on two guests. This is what I hate most about Monopoly Events, they're a complete rip-off! Not to mention the guy who runs the company has a questionable track record. If they keep acting like this, they're just going to end up meeting the same fate as Wales Comic Con and Telford Takeover. Let's just say the owner of those conventions got a little too greedy for his own good. Not returning refunds to customers, paying guests or venue fees. And because of that he has since fled down south, and started a new cash grab with FanX Live. However, that doesn't mean he'll get away with it forever because history will repeat itself.
