I disagree with the idea that this dark personality is Aqua's true self. Originally he was much more lively, a sharp-tongued idol otaku. The trauma surrounding Ai's death has warped his personality, like Ruby said in the season 1 finale (when she also said being around Kana brings his old self back). Imo this revenge is something to ultimately move on from, as it's really weighing down in his new life 🤷🏾♀️ Question: have you read the manga?
I don't think I discussed any of the parts you mentioned. I only talked about: Aqua now has a dark side --> Akane saw his dark side that wanted to kill people --> Akane said that she would stand on Aqua's side even after knowing this fact --> Aqua also saw Akane's dark side --> Both sides knew each other's dark side that was not widely known --> Both of them saw each other without disguise now

If you watched my EP1 reaction video, you would know that I'm not a fan of harem anime and I'm not interested in girls competing for a guy. I don't support any of them being with Aqua. I'm on neither team. What I hope for is for them to focus on their own careers. exact words. I'm excited not because they're fighting over a guy, but because I love seeing their cute and cool sides. Not everyone gets excited for the same reasons...
