labrynianrebel it looked so boring.. omg. It felt like one of those indie alphas in unreal engine, it looks really good and stylized but there’s nothing to it.
I love the PlayStation brand - I go out of my way to review every PS+ game for PS4 on my channel every month, for reference - but to me this felt like overconfident pre-PS3 "you'll buy it anyway" Sony to me. I was not a fan whatsoever of this performance, not a good look at all.
I think it was more they wanted to show actual gameplay for most of the games and they wanted to focus on a few big things they know are likely to sell really well and make them stand out to the others. I mean, most of what Sony showed is unique to Sony where as over 3/4 of what was shown in Microsoft and everything in SE/Ubi/EA are going to be multiplat. So, tbh, I can see their mindset. It's just, their presentation was terrible lol
The idea was fine, but it's the 20 minute intermission, the lack of any dates for almost any game, et alia res. Like I ragged on Microsoft for doing so much 2019, but at least we got _something_ from their stuff, y'know?
Yeah, I noticed how cocky they're getting when they started in the church and when they said they were not gonna show any surprises. Sony's getting cocky and the gen is not even over.
This felt very self fellating. The majority of the games not having a release date fucking aggrivates me. Especially for Spider Man, a game that's supposedly set to come out to September
Man, that's not "a dude with a banjo"! That's actually Gustavo Santaolalla, the argentinian composer of The Last of Us 1 & 2. And winner of two oscars, Babel and Brokeback Mountain. Awkward moment, I know. But he is not just a dude.
If it was traditional formatting I honestly probably would've gotten way more excited and say they won e3. But it was so boring to watch it was hard to get into it and like barely any release dates
I hope they go even farther into the Akira Kurosawa influence. Some allegory or deeper themes relating to post-war Japan would be very exciting to see.
yeah agree it was bad, only games made up for it i didn't care for Last of Us 2, but dam that game play I'm so getting PS5 for this game and that Samurai game like dam
lets not forget the stream issues they had. Audio was popping on YT and video cut out on Twitch (when it started working again the audio kept cutting out at a rhythm) but it fixed itself after around 30min or so.
The0nlyOne Not really, actually. The only way they can screw up now is if Smash Switch was a port, which is near impossible at this point with how secretive they have been.
I think I would be underwhelmed if Smash is ALL they have this year. Thankfully, their stream is 45 minutes this year. So there's bound to be a second big annoucement.
Disappointed we saw nothing from Final Fantasy VII Remake at ether Square Enix or Sony, but what was shown was pretty good. I hyped as hell for the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Zorel i think it had a strong beginning with last of us 2. Weird transition but i was interested in the games. Then the middle i was very interestes and i was very hype for resident evil 2. And then at the end i was very disappointed because i didn't even realise it was the end too bad they didn't announce anything to end it.
the whole conference was mess, really the highlights were the games and they didn't disappoint, Death Stranding this is Kojima he's not going show jack shit until its release
Escarche No, they ended with that VR game by From Software as just an "Oh by the way, we almost forgot this one" Then again, I'm surprised people don't remember; it was so casually dumped on us that it was basically an afterthought.
Laz3rCat its just between them and xbox now. Xbox needed exclusives. It delivered. If nintendo wants to win, they need to announce something big.. I mean bigger than pokemon. Bigger than smash bros. Bigger than even metroid prime 4. But for some reason, i feel they will
I think the term xbox exclusives is not correct, maybe they should rebrand it to microsoft exclusives (because they pretty much own the pc gaming market)
As soon as I heard that it was gustavo I was weirded out but then it got worse because of how long his piece took. He's great but man. It felt pretentious to me.
The beginning after Last of Us 2 with the intermission was the worst part, the rest was fine in terms of presentations...The games though, NIOH 2 (MOST ANTICIPATED) , Ghosts of Tsushima, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Spiderman were all pretty damn good in my opinion. Edit: I forgot Death Stranding
as a PlayStation owner I was really disappointed with sony's conference, they just didn't really do anything interesting, at least xbox showed loads of world premiere things
Only confirmed for Xbox and Playstation at the moment, but since Crash is coming to the Switch, I bet Spyro will eventually just with a delay, or maybe it will depend on Crash sales, I dunno.
With Sony's okayish conference (like a C+ or B-), unless Nintendo nails it tomorrow I think Microsoft wins E3, which is bonkers. Would've guessed it to be Bethesda (who I guess can be considered the "winner" depending on how you took the FO 76 reveal and if seeing Starfield and ES6 logos means anything to you) or Sony. Microsoft just flew through game after game after game after game for an hour and a half, really good conference.
Matt Mc yeah but i feel the actual games were really boring like anybody who didn’t care about forza or gears still won’t care and the only game i came out of the conference excited abt was DMC 5. while sony’s was formatted horrendously, the actual games were all rlly great and they showed interesting gameplay.
That's kind of a reductionist way of looking at it, Microsoft showed a lot more than just forza and gears (two ips that I also find uninteresting), and even still you can easily say "anybody who didn't care about Last of Us or Death Stranding still won't care," just because you're not interested in the ip doesn't mean other people aren't or invalidate the games themselves. They also showed off more of Ori, announced Cuphead dlc, Session, Battletoads, announced a new Halo, etc. They also had a ton of 3rd party announcements not shown anywhere else in E3 (Sekiro, Cyberpunk, Dying Light, etc). Sony showed up with some top notch games and in terms of exclusives I'd agree the most interesting games were shown with Sony, but Microsoft's presentation was much more exciting, longer, fast paced, and showed a ton more games. There was no point in Microsoft's presentation where I was like "okay, I've seen enough of this, move on" which happened like 5 times in Sony's conference.
+triplesix can't say Last of Us 2 was "boring" same for Samurai game, Spiderman looked freaking amazing i was worried with last year how much "QTE's" there were, but this time it was all in game with no pauses looked impressive
So far: 1. Microsoft (I don't care how few games are exclusives, they showed stuff I wanted.) 2. Devolver Digital (Metal Wolf Chaos XD, that's a strong reveal.) 3. Bethesda (DOOM Eternal, Elder Scrolls VI, and some interesting developments.) 4. Sony (RE2R looks awesome, but not much else I care about.) 5. Square Enix (Don't have a conference if you don't have enough games to show off.) Honorable Mention: all SEGAs announcements, they didn't get a conference but they showed off some really cool stuff (Yakuza, Shenmue, and Valkarie Chronicles on PC, Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, and a new Sonic racer with Crush 40 doing the theme song again.) I didn't watch: EA (thank God.) Ubisoft (don't care.) PC Game Show (also don't care) Nintendo is tomorrow, and I have faith that they'll give me something coo!
Games were pretty great! Making your audience move for just one trailer was so dumb. Bad audio, no stage host at the end, and good (but out of place) musical performances.
I found Sony's conference to be very lack luster. It started out absolutely terrible with the pacing being all over the place. Also, 2 live musical performances? Really? Most of the gameplay was extremely scripted and felt so unreal and not genuine. That is how it usually is, but I keep hating this push in gaming for the "cinematic" experience. These are games, not movies, gameplay, true gameplay, will always be king over anything cinematic. We still have no idea what Death Stranding is. It has been, what, 3 years now and we still know nothing. The gameplay was just the guy walking around in barren landscapes delivering packages. It would give me a New Vegas vibe, except New Vegas had actual things in the world to interact with. Even with my low expectations, it was still disappointing.
5 years actually, 2 years of "I gonna make a game" and 3 of "I'm making the game I think" Don't worry I'm sure he will now shift focus from hanging out with Reedus to hanging out with the new actresses
TyranusRex721 Yup it might be scripted but yet in the end naughty Dog always delivers just like uncharted 4 everyone said it was scripted yet the gameplay felt exactly the same when it actually released
with no real x-box exclusives, there is still no real reason to buy a x-box, so it will fall even more behind. Yeah the presentation was beter, but it did nothing for x-box and that was what they needed to do. That's why I think Sony's was beter for Sony/Ps4 while Microsoft was beter overall.
therelaxedone i think this year's E3 was unsurprising, most of everything that was shown was stuff we already know about. So far Microsoft has the strongest showing with Sony and Bethesda behind it (although Sony's was lacking in terms of new games). But I hated how Microsoft acquired Ninja Theory. EA and Square Enix were the weakest so far with EA having the checklist and Square Enix already lending everything to Microsoft. And Ubisoft's was predictable and unsurprising. Im excited for the Last of Us 2, the Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, Sabel, Ghosts of Tsushima’s, and maybe even Assassins Creed Odyssey. But hopefully Nintendo will help break the mold this year and show us more new titles.
the intermission after tlou2 was slow and clunky, but when they got into the theatre and pushed on, I was into it, mostly cause the games looked so good and interesting and we actually saw how the games were. This press conference convinced me on a ps4 finally I'd say.
The guy playing the banjo he does the music for the last of us so it was super cool seeing the music producer from the game to play to start up the show.
Not Good Sony, Not Good. As a PS4 owner, I feel sad about how Brainwashed Fanboys can be, and about how Sony speculate on em. I'm a customer, and I'm disappointed.
I'm mostly sad we didn't see any Spyro at all (though might see some tomorrow) and Dreams got... awkward snippets of transitions that just seems to have pissed people off and will feed into the inevitable 'cringe compilations' that will follow. A sad fate for a potentially great game.
Compared to last year, this year it was pretty underwhelming to be totally honest, but at least we got more footage of Kingdom Hearts 3 and Spider-man, so that's cool at least...
I did NOT know Last Of Us, and... I wasn't really hooked. The cutscene had an uncanny valley vibe to it, and the gameplay didn't look incredibly exciting for me.
Sony designed the show for the attendees. They had a similar theme setup for PS Experience 2017. The idea is actually really cool for the attendees because it's like a video game theme park. After all, we can watch trailers and demos at home without paying the attendance fee.
Microsoft had a good show because they shelled out a lot of money to get people to show stuff at their conference. They still barely have any exclusives. Microsoft excited me because I saw stuff I could get on my PS4. If we have to declare a winner sure they can have it, but nothing made me feel like I need an Xbox One.
I love how when you were talking about KH3, you said ReSi 2 by accident. It made me think of a Pirate version of ReSi 2 where Leon is in a pirate outfit and Claire is replaced with Elizabeth.
Pekrosha devolvers conference was cringey as fuck. They tried way too hard to be funny and "different " and "lol random". Literally the only good thing that came out of the trailer was the slogan #MechAmericaGreatAgain
the reveal of RE2 remake is the highlight of E3 for me. I haven't been so hyped for a game in like 10 years. i think the conference overall was pretty damn good. there was no filler and everything was solid
This sony conference should be emulated by everybody next year. Why i hate e3 is because we don't see enough gameplay. If your game isn't at a point where you can show me gameplay, i don't personally care. The idea way would be show off new games with some extensive gameplay. For me, sony showed stuff that im willing to buy. Which i can't say for most of the other conferences so far.
Which doesn't bother me as i don't watch the conferences themselves. I only watch the trailers. Ive always had a massive distaste for E3 as a whole. So i avoid the actual conferences
The big problem with showing gameplay is that it's only once the game has come out can gameplay really be evaluated, so it's a lot harder to make it impressive.
Gameplay lol You mean scripted CG that was made to look like gameplay to fool people like you. Death Stranding literally just walking simulator bullshit while Spidey had longer cutscenes than actual gameplay itself.
You Missed two things which is: BO3 is being free for PSPLUS members when they were in the small booth 2nd: The stuff when they finish showing a trailer it cuts into a short of Media Molecule New IP which is dreams and they show stuff that was made by the game
So Microsoft is the winner in my opinion so far, oh and Thanks Bethesda for teasing Starfield and ES6 proving that they are a thing that is being worked on, I'm pretty excited!
Naxiro Many of the games people were excited about were multi-platform. Great show in terms of seeing rumors actually becoming revealed, but the exclusives were kinda few and meh. Great for gamers as a whole, not so great at flaunting what the Xbox has against other competitors.
The Big N pretty much has this in the bag. All they need to do is drop a release date for Smash. Hey just with that they'll match how many release dates Sony put out.
Brifo Its not only about exclusives. Its about interesting and good games and surprises. Sony didnt show anything new or interesting. At least to me. Im not in the minority from what ive seen.
Brifo Halo, Forza, 2 Gears games, Tunic, Ori 2, Cuphead, Battletoads, Crackdown 3 Sony had Ghost of Tsushima, The Generic of Us 2, Death Stranding and Spiderman... and who knows when 3 of these 4 games will release...
Don't worry Jared. I get what you mean. The simplest way to explain it I guess would be.: You really wanted ice cream, and you normally really like both Chocolate and Vanilla. And someone gave you an ice cream still in the wrapper. For some reason you expected a vanilla ice cream, but instead you got a really good chocolate ice cream. Your want paints over the fact that though it wasn't the vanilla ice cream you expected, it was nonetheless an incredibly good chocolate ice cream. And so you need to be able to judge that as a fact, despite what your own personal expectations were. And while you can certainly talk about how you felt and wanted vanilla ice cream. That was entirely just you internally and not a proper representation of the reality that your ice cream was definitely just chocolate.
Microsoft had the better Pressconference than Sony but nothing shown there makes me want to buy a XBox. The games Sony has shown on the other hand make me happy that I already have a PS4.
Yeah because Ghost of Tsushima and Spider Man play the exact same. And by that logic Gears of War 5 should also play the same since its also third person.
Microsoft showed some great games but like I said nothing makes go buy an XBox. Gears of War looks pretty cool but I can also play it on PC. Forza and racing games in general are just uninteresting for me and Halo Infinite showed too little to get hyped about. The games I liked the most from the Microsoft Pressconference were Devil May Cry 5, Sekiro and Cyberpunk and they are all Multiplatform titles.
Jared, the “music guy” for TLOU2 is the Oscar winning composer of the TLOU soundtracks, not just a random guy. It was awesome to see him. (= Plus, the “only showing 4 games” was told way before. I had the right expectations because of that, but I loved all they showed.
“ It was weird to see the realistic models of all the actors from Pirates of the Caribbean...... they looked different from how they looked in Resident Evil 2.......” I love you Jared 😂
The actual HUD was close to final, and even Neil Druckman talked about the game that what you saw was how the actual game played as in it was an actual recording of live gameplay from the game.
Dude... that was freaking Gustavo Santaolalla! He's the composer to The Last of Us and most likely made a return for the sequel. His ominous opening piece to the game is pretty recognizable by now seeing how The Last of Us sold very well last gen and on PS4 so him playing the banjo made perfect sense. Also he played the theme before the game was showed off at the Spike TV videogames awards back in 2013 so it's sort of Naughty Dog's signature way of introducing the audience to their master piece
FFVII Remake was basically restarted a couple months ago when SE brought the project back in-house from CyberConnect2. Not a surprise there was nothing to show.
The demos they showed of The Last Of Us and Ghost Of Sushi was better than any gameplay I've on other conferences but....the conference as a whole wasn't that good. Kinda weird. 7/10.
When the shadows age reedus magically, they age the baby to norman reedus size... It's basically his ingame representation of a continue screen. I thought at least that was obvious.
So basically if it had cut the church and the outside panel people wouldn't be bitching? What I find funny is that Every year we see conferences from these companies. They go on stage and spout a bunch of fluff and don't say much of anything or just boast about numbers(Xbox). How about spending to much time on shit we don't care about (Playstation move, Kinect, VR, EyeToy, etc). We all sit here and say "If they didn't have much they should have just got to the point". And that's what Sony did, they didn't drop the mic but they certainly GOT TO THE POINT. Imo they gave you what they have to offer.
Or would you rather have Some guy in a suit on stage filling for time telling us about PlayStation pen pals around the world or some shit? I swear ppl say just give us games, they get just that then say "Sony is just to full of its self". How should you present a show when you really don't have much to show because you don't hide it? Like Jared said stop projecting what you wanted.
Death Stranding is about delivering Loot Boxes to other games.
labrynianrebel it looked so boring.. omg. It felt like one of those indie alphas in unreal engine, it looks really good and stylized but there’s nothing to it.
LMAO you got me good
labrynianrebel HAHA
Aaron That's because we haven't seen anything the game has to offer.
Kojima likes to hide 80% of the game's story, until released.
Aaron we didn't see any real gameplay. it was all teaser genius.
I love the PlayStation brand - I go out of my way to review every PS+ game for PS4 on my channel every month, for reference - but to me this felt like overconfident pre-PS3 "you'll buy it anyway" Sony to me. I was not a fan whatsoever of this performance, not a good look at all.

Sony's getting cocky and the gen is not even over.
The Golden Bolt's Game Reviews I got that vibe as well.

"They were in this tent. In-tent-tionally."

Knack 3 baby!
okay dunkey
Wait for knack hd babyyyyyyyyyyy!
Knack 3...BAYBEEEE
nah man, Knack 4 is where it's at, babyyyyy. they're going to skip 3 entirely and go straight to 4
Man, that's not "a dude with a banjo"! That's actually Gustavo Santaolalla, the argentinian composer of The Last of Us 1 & 2. And winner of two oscars, Babel and Brokeback Mountain. Awkward moment, I know. But he is not just a dude.
Dang, I had no idea! Thanks for the info!
Gustavo Santaolalla, A.K.A dude with a banjo. Even if the guy was Paco de Lucia himself, it would have veen boring.
You're a dude, I'm a dude, he is a man.
So, yeah, dude with a banjo basically.
Is he a video game... no, I don't think people are video games... I came here to see video games.
It was simply awkward and surprisingly boring. Sony had amazing games, yet presented it muddled with a dialogue about "behind the games."
Atomsk88 i like the games but each individual segment ran for a little too long. I kept thinking 'mooooove ooooon!' XD
If it was traditional formatting I honestly probably would've gotten way more excited and say they won e3. But it was so boring to watch it was hard to get into it and like barely any release dates
Then projared cheated on his wife
The games themselves have me *HYPED*
Ghosts of Tsushima.. I'm a huge Akira kurosawa fan and i'm in love!
I hope they go even farther into the Akira Kurosawa influence. Some allegory or deeper themes relating to post-war Japan would be very exciting to see.
I keep wanting to call it Ghosts of Sarushima and i don't know why
its coming from sucker punch, I was like dam this going be good
I always wanted a yojimbo game. Imagine playing sanjuro and going on adventures throughout Japan.
TheKiroshi
I was disappointed. I wish it was more like Ran.
The awkward shifting of people from the tent to the theatre... crowbcat's E3 supercut will be fun to watch.
mesh mush *just to suffer*
MSZ I can't wait for him to cover the awkward stuff from Ubisoft. *lip smacks*
Oh shit! I forgot about that memey fellow...
yeah I was watching a lot of e3 live and a lot of the times I would think lol crowbcat is gonna tear there asses
If Nintedo doesn't knock this out of the park, I'm playing Final Fantasy 2. The NES version. I'll do it, I'm crazy.
What about Hylide?
Don't do it! You've got so much to live for! Like Final Fantasy 4!
FFXIII*
*ends abruptly*
Overall I thought Sony’s conference was solid...but man those awkward transitions...
yeah agree it was bad, only games made up for it
i didn't care for Last of Us 2, but dam that game play I'm so getting PS5 for this game and that Samurai game like dam
lets not forget the stream issues they had. Audio was popping on YT and video cut out on Twitch (when it started working again the audio kept cutting out at a rhythm) but it fixed itself after around 30min or so.
solid? the only thing they had was a probably pre-rendered TLOU2 demo with the UI added in post, and RE2. Nothing else!
Idoldis@ster
So Ghost of Tsushima was trash??
"A very adult Ellie..."
Why do I think the internet just started sweating?
Nah, she acted more like a pre-teen trying to act adult tbh in the last one.
The Internet has low standards
Raven Santiago "Why don't you have a seat."

sega gemini I'm not a fan of that crap, just commenting on the internet's... tastes.

this review was longer than sony e3
Sigh
Jared always has a solid analysis about the conferences, one of the best parts of e3
Shakil Miah Sadly the only thing he uploads regularly if you exclude the D&D stuff...
The pins are lined up for you Nintendo, Don't screw it up
Owlzy they have smash bros, it’s literally impossible to mess it up

Smash, fire emblem, yoshi, dlcs, possible new ips, possible animal crossing. They got this
No new ips lol
Disappointed we saw nothing from Final Fantasy VII Remake at ether Square Enix or Sony, but what was shown was pretty good. I hyped as hell for the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Rip ff7 remake...our hopes and dreams have gone down the drain
Now we gotta wait a few years cause it’s probably got the ffxv and Kh3 treatment
Michelin Manny I doubt there really gonna go hard on FF until after kh is released
Michelin Manny go cry in your corner you whiny ass. I’d rather have a finish game that’s good and playable then a half assed rushes piece of trash.
He/she mean't trailer. Not about releasing the damn game.
FF7 remake on the switch please look forward to it
There's already way too fucking many FF games, I don't get what people even see in them.
I liked the Last of Us musical performance thing because he was the actual musician for the game. Plus he's a super cool dude.
Woah! Looks like this comments sections needs a bit of cleanup. Glad to see you back jared!
This was VERY uneven. Terrible Beginning, good middle, meh ending.
Zorel They just needed some more stuff at the end, right?

We need nintendo to blow this out of the water

Sony already won!
I left to pick up a friend during the intermission and basically missed nothing
the guy playing the banjo was the game soundtrack composer
As soon as I heard that it was gustavo I was weirded out but then it got worse because of how long his piece took. He's great but man. It felt pretentious to me.
Interpunct TV it felt pretentious because they have a major part of the game be displayed in real life? What
The beginning after Last of Us 2 with the intermission was the worst part, the rest was fine in terms of presentations...The games though, NIOH 2 (MOST ANTICIPATED) , Ghosts of Tsushima, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Spiderman were all pretty damn good in my opinion.

Kingdom Hearts 3?
So excited for Nioh 2!
NIOH 2 HYPE

C Babs the game comes out in September it’s all good
C Babs They showcased it afterwards. They have a few videos of it on their channel.

Great games, bad presentation
did they purposefully focus on the boring parts of gameplay?
100% agree really only point to watch was games reveals, the presentation was fucken awful
+triplesix can't say Last of Us 2 was "boring" same for Samurai game, Spiderman looked freaking amazing i was worried with last year how much "QTE's" there were, but this time it was all in game with no pauses looked impressive

Mortal Kombat 11
Games were pretty great! Making your audience move for just one trailer was so dumb. Bad audio, no stage host at the end, and good (but out of place) musical performances.
Nintendo, all I have to say is, play your cards right..because you have a pretty good hand of cards on you right now
That death stranding toe nail scene made my dink shrink
TyranusRex721 you are probably one of those people complaining about the pictures on the menu without even tasting the food...
Bluedotwhite someone's defensive
5 years actually, 2 years of "I gonna make a game" and 3 of "I'm making the game I think"
Don't worry I'm sure he will now shift focus from hanging out with Reedus to hanging out with the new actresses
TyranusRex721 Yup it might be scripted but yet in the end naughty Dog always delivers just like uncharted 4 everyone said it was scripted yet the gameplay felt exactly the same when it actually released
Tony Jenn not really :)
For once, I think Microsoft had a better presentation, and this is coming from a loyal Nintendo fan who has 0 intentions of buying an Xbox One.
Whirlwhind1 we have to see Nintendo show tomorrow still
Whirlwhind1 mentioning that you're a Nintendo fan didn't make sense. If you said you were a Sony fan it would have.
with no real x-box exclusives, there is still no real reason to buy a x-box, so it will fall even more behind.
I love Microsoft with how they support PC too now and that you can play all Xbox gen on Xbox one, and they'll continue that for the next gen
They showed off basically the same things they shown off last year
Archimedes Simisear besides RE2, ghost of tsushima, nohri 2, last of us part 2 gameplay, and pirates of the Caribbean kingdom hearts stuff
the intermission after tlou2 was slow and clunky, but when they got into the theatre and pushed on, I was into it, mostly cause the games looked so good and interesting and we actually saw how the games were. This press conference convinced me on a ps4 finally I'd say.
Wished there was more to it honestly
i was surprised how short it was, I was wtf that's it?
Nathaniel Foga wait till playstation experience i guess
The guy playing the banjo he does the music for the last of us so it was super cool seeing the music producer from the game to play to start up the show.
Not Good Sony, Not Good.
As a PS4 owner, I feel sad about how Brainwashed Fanboys can be, and about how Sony speculate on em.
I'm a customer, and I'm disappointed.
PastoKage Oh ok.
You forget, Kojima keeps you guessing, no matter how ridiculous the settings may be.
Tbh I think Sony press conference was actually pretty cool. Not talking about the games but the setting, it was pretty cool.
Sebastian Zavala They wasted an hour moving people from locations through
it was only ten mins
You speak very well, Jared. It's always a pleasure to watch your content.
My Death Stranding theory is that its about backpacks
"In-tent"ially! HA!
pmgmsd It was pretty "in tents"! 😅
Sup everyone. Yeah I watched. No ff7
JRPG Lover boo-fucking-hoo... 😒
no Shenmue 3 either.
Love those background jams
I wantid backwards compatibility 0.0/999
the second RE2 trailer they posted showed gameplay with the over the shoulder camera from RE4
Comment section clean up time.
Glad to have ya back, Jared. (=
15:19 I remember when pirates of the caribbean was in RE2, quite the risk capcom took to get disney to give them the license for it ;^P
SirKibbleThe3rd Hey they had Goofy and Donald Duck so anything is possible
WE NAILED IT
I did NOT know Last Of Us, and...
The actual footage they showed was great.
The format of the conference however...yeah they should never try that again.
Can I just say I love your background with all the ff games lined up.
Sony’s press conference was so boring! Microsoft’s was so much better. Sony really Dropped the ball this year. Microsoft wins.
jasonpwilson01XFORCE I honestly have never enjoyed xbox conferences.
Hold up, so far I agree that Microsoft had the best press conference, however Nintendo’s turn is tomorrow
I wasn't bored but damn, Microsoft impressed me
Microsoft had a good show because they shelled out a lot of money to get people to show stuff at their conference. They still barely have any exclusives. Microsoft excited me because I saw stuff I could get on my PS4. If we have to declare a winner sure they can have it, but nothing made me feel like I need an Xbox One.
Sparda well, actually they do have enough exclusives.
And they are coming out this year and the next.
*PLANET WISP MUSIC!* I LOVE YOU JARED
I understand Death Stranding even less than I did before seeing that presentation.
Gustavo Santaolalla was the “banjo guy”, he is the composer for the Last of Us soundtracks so yeah, the musical performance definitely fit
I can’t wait to see Donald Duck in Resident Evil 2
I love how when you were talking about KH3, you said ReSi 2 by accident. It made me think of a Pirate version of ReSi 2 where Leon is in a pirate outfit and Claire is replaced with Elizabeth.
Devolver won E3
Pekrosha devolvers conference was cringey as fuck. They tried way too hard to be funny and "different " and "lol random".
Literally the only good thing that came out of the trailer was the slogan #MechAmericaGreatAgain
Second year in a row.
I cheered when I saw Metal Wolf Chaos was getting a re-release outside of Japan.
Damn straight.
Sam T
That's the point. The joke literally flew over your head huh? It was meant to be over the top and parody of actual conference.
the reveal of RE2 remake is the highlight of E3 for me.
Spudster888 I agree the games and the gameplay was amazing but the it was presented was clunky with the intermission.
Spudster888 it’s supposed to be somewhere to announce NEW games and features. NOT to show games we’ve already known about for multiple years.
Gameplay lol You mean scripted CG that was made to look like gameplay to fool people like you.
Death Stranding literally just walking simulator bullshit while Spidey had longer cutscenes than actual gameplay itself.
You Missed two things which is: BO3 is being free for PSPLUS members when they were in the small booth
2nd: The stuff when they finish showing a trailer it cuts into a short of Media Molecule New IP which is dreams and they show stuff that was made by the game
so far Microsoft has won e3 in my opinion, but maybe Nintendo will be better
Cameron Blaine just maybe?
Cameron Blaine lmfao bwahahahahahahahahhaahahhhahahaahhaahahahahahahhahaha aaaaaahahahahahahahhahashhahahaa
Dorian Stark I don't get it he's not saying anything wrong
Champion 1209 yeah, it's not that Microsoft has been the best, it's just that the other presentations have been really boring
Champion 1209 dudes prolly a PlayStation fanboy so he prolly laughing cus complimenting Microsoft = funny
So Microsoft is the winner in my opinion so far, oh and Thanks Bethesda for teasing Starfield and ES6 proving that they are a thing that is being worked on, I'm pretty excited!
Microsoft's was ok, Sony's was just werid and clunky, Nintendo you have a chance to save E3 2018.
Vyse195 xbox was the tits
Again lmao
Naxiro Many of the games people were excited about were multi-platform. Great show in terms of seeing rumors actually becoming revealed, but the exclusives were kinda few and meh. Great for gamers as a whole, not so great at flaunting what the Xbox has against other competitors.
Bethesda already saved it. Nintendo will suck anyway
The Big N pretty much has this in the bag. All they need to do is drop a release date for Smash. Hey just with that they'll match how many release dates Sony put out.
That flute jam-session really threw people off. It was amazing, especially when the audio started fucking up on the stream Iw as watching
Re:make2 tho
Was the highlight for me personally.
The sonic music in the background is sooooo chill
Surprised to say xbox beat sony for once. Still think nintendo will win
-Lord I hope Nintendo will win... because I want more hype! xD
how did xbox beat sony? What exclusives does xbox have?
Brifo Its not only about exclusives. Its about interesting and good games and surprises. Sony didnt show anything new or interesting. At least to me. Im not in the minority from what ive seen.
Brifo Halo, Forza, 2 Gears games, Tunic, Ori 2, Cuphead, Battletoads, Crackdown 3
Sony had Ghost of Tsushima, The Generic of Us 2, Death Stranding and Spiderman... and who knows when 3 of these 4 games will release...
Yeah it was a boring conference, the games were good. We just already knew about them
15:25
Oh man I LOVED Jack Sparrow in RE2.
You meant KH2.
u dun funck upp jarard
Don't worry Jared. I get what you mean. The simplest way to explain it I guess would be.:
You really wanted ice cream, and you normally really like both Chocolate and Vanilla.
PK Scratch Who is the mad bastard who wraps ice cream in wrappers, and DOESN’T label it?
InFactANoose EA? I'm sure they'd be all in for Lootbox Ice Cream.
How can you expect me to pay attention to you while you're playing Lonely Rolling Star as background music? Good taste in music, my friend.
Microsoft had the better Pressconference than Sony but nothing shown there makes me want to buy a XBox. The games Sony has shown on the other hand make me happy that I already have a PS4.
Yeah because Ghost of Tsushima and Spider Man play the exact same. And by that logic Gears of War 5 should also play the same since its also third person.
riemaennchen gears 5 has a release date
Microsoft showed some great games but like I said nothing makes go buy an XBox. Gears of War looks pretty cool but I can also play it on PC. Forza and racing games in general are just uninteresting for me and Halo Infinite showed too little to get hyped about.
The games I liked the most from the Microsoft Pressconference were Devil May Cry 5, Sekiro and Cyberpunk and they are all Multiplatform titles.
Oh right. I'm subscribed to daddy jared.
Has been so long since he last uploaded I totally forgot.
I honestly enjoyed the flute man.
FoxeyeValkyrie I agree, it sucked all the hype I had out of me but I was quite relaxed afterwards. A good tone setter.
I don't have ANY hype for E3 anymore, it's just a fun thing to watch with friends for me now. I go in with zero expectations.
The actual HUD was close to final, and even Neil Druckman talked about the game that what you saw was how the actual game played as in it was an actual recording of live gameplay from the game.
Sony is always about the games and that's what they did. I feel like Sony is getting ready for Playstation 5
Dude... that was freaking Gustavo Santaolalla!
Sony in 2013: Greatness awaits
Sony in 2018: Yeah, you might be REALLY hyped up, but we assure you that we are doing our best, so please bear with us.
We've been waiting 5 years for greatness! I've given them enough passes.
So what horizon and gow weren't great?
What tf you been playing!! Must been sleeping for 5ys buddy wake up you missed alot if you say that
They were good. Just not great.
Wii U had good games though.
That Bloodborne tease with the new PS VR was a kick in the balls. Fromsoft and Japan Studio, made it look like a bloodborne game coming out.
They just don't care any more about e3 but they need to go to get the coverage, PSX is where the good things are reveal same happened last year.
Jason B Do you think that is going to happen this year?
Last year's PSX was bad.
You’ve had some good taste in the music in your e3 videos :^)
I love your Sonic Colors music. I WISH that game would get a HD remake only for Switch.
Master Yoshi Why not let everyone play it?- A Nintendo fan
I'd like that, PC too.
Because it was a wii exclusive before, so if they remade it would probably be a switch exclusive
Rashid Huseynov Yeah but why do you want it only to be for switch?
No,but i don't really care
FFVII Remake was basically restarted a couple months ago when SE brought the project back in-house from CyberConnect2. Not a surprise there was nothing to show.
The demos they showed of The Last Of Us and Ghost Of Sushi was better than any gameplay I've on other conferences but....the conference as a whole wasn't that good. Kinda weird. 7/10.
When the shadows age reedus magically, they age the baby to norman reedus size...
It's basically his ingame representation of a continue screen.
I thought at least that was obvious.
Ghost of Tsushima doesn’t feature any giant enemy crabs, 0/10
The blinking thing in Death Stranding was actually flashing light that revealed invisible creatures caught within the light....
Nintendo better cheer me up after this man
The98xander - Nintendo will have a few Aces up their sleeves
I'm hoping for some Linkle DLC for BOTW.
Duo Beard so hyped 👌🏽
