      Yes it is a tough watch but the acting by Danielle Deadwyler, she plays Emmett Till's mom, makes it worth the watch by herself.

    Danielle Deadwyler coming for that Oscar! This film is going to be hard to watch because I read the story almost 2 years for the first time and it was heartbreaking! Justice for Emmett Till! 🙏❤️

      Oh she is definitely coming for the Oscar, she was in The Harder They Fall and I didn't even realize that was the same actress 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

    The movie doesn't depict the horrific torture that he went through. I've seen the story on various platforms and this one brought tears to my eyes and heart felt. His mother was very courageous in making her decisions especially on opening the casket.

    Emmett Till’s brutal Lynching is most pivotal moment for Civil Rights as it is was quit literally took Civil rights into the main stream. Rosa Parks was quoted saying after her notorious Bus sitting, “I knew I couldn’t turn back then I was thinking of Emmett Till.” MLK was quoted saying, “I was thinking of the screams and horrors of Emmett Till.” It took America 122yrs for a bill to pass to make Lynching a federal crime. The 2 murderers and accuser would go on to live free.
    His mother might be the only reason why we have civil rights today and it is so sad to think that ONLY one person could make that happen. EMMETT TILL IS CIVIL RIGHTS

    1:19 Guess they just didn't want anyone doubting it. Most people know or have heard about Emmett Till but I guess they figured they should let people know it was a true story just in case there are those who haven't heard of him

    The one on Hulu, which is the one that was on abc, to me had better acting. Seems strange that they’d put it out in October when this is the week it actually happened.

    What about James Lambert Jr.?

    • @blackburnenterprises
      @blackburnenterprises 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm confused, What exactly is your question 🤔 The James Lambert Jr situation is incredibly sad as is the subject matter of this movie soooo again what is your question 🤔

    • @thatshot8
      @thatshot8 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blackburnenterprises …this subject matter is old and irrelevant, just like every slave narrative. The incessant victimhood propaganda is just disgusting when it’s becoming more and more clear where the real problem lies. It shouldn’t take a movie to make you feel better about yourself. Wake up.
