She is so respected because not only is she is a singer, but she is also a song writer(practically unheard of in kpop industry as most songs are given to idols by producers) in fact she wrote and came up with the mv concept for this song. In addition to being a singer/song writer she is a absolutely amazing actress (see 'my mister' or moon lovers scarlet heart ryeo) on addition to all of this she is extremely humble and is always looking to improve herself.
