After buying one of them and using it for a day I immediately bought a second one for my wife. I use it for walks, I don’t like earbuds because it isolates my ability to hear what going on around me. I clip it to my collar near my ear, I keep the volume very low where it doesn’t bother other walkers, I also used it while building my deck, again had it on my collar so I didn’t have to blast a larger Bluetooth speaker and bother my neighbors. At the time of this writing Amazon has a $10 off coupon, I love it.

    • @lawdog516
      @lawdog516 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@FBIsMostWantedd1 not really any bass but its a small speaker. The way I use it I don’t need thundering base, I clip it to my collar and it works great for that application. If your looking for a speaker to use for a party on the deck this isn’t the one, it’s just a lapel speaker for personal use, I hope this helps

I went out looking for this exact product and was nervous I'd find cheap stuff. My needs... small wearable and durable speaker able to resist dust and possibly water splashes. This is perfect! I'm a technician in an injection molding factory and I clip this to my neckline on my uniform while working on machines. Coltrols are simple and easy to use with gloves on (I do hate touch screens at work). Something to note, when listening to music you can single tap the power button to instantly pause the music. Very usefull. Long hold the + or - to skip songs.
The sound is loud and clear. I have no problems listening while using impact tools. We can't use ear buds foe ovyous safety reason. But it's nice to have a little music and still be able to hear the machines and such.
Its expensive. But it is exactly what i was looking foe and do not regret it. And, honesty, being made by DeWalt is what got me past the cost. Figured they knew the job site and wouldnt do this product wrong

I've wanted something like this for years. Working in a warehouse and driving forklifts I'm not meant to wear earbuds, but small Bluetooth speakers are fine. But this clipped on my shirt collar, magnet near my chest or hat next to my ear would be great so I can listen to podcasts, that's really what I want it for

  • @anthonylau3065

I would consider buying this. As an external speaker this would be a nice alternative to the JBL Clip4 that I currently have and probably paid the same amount of money for a while back. Which, btw, has some good bass. But I would probably get this for making phone calls and clipping this on my collar so I can leave my phone on my belt or pocket, and as an alternative to using ear buds. This Dewalt is much smaller and lighter (2oz) than my Clip4 (8.43oz) and I would pay at least $50 for. Someone mentioned adding a camera, etc, would make it worth the $70 to spend on. I disagree. The camera would add size and weight, be of low quality, and double or triple the cost.

I’d use it doing outside work like painting a house or when I’m doing siding or windows. Or on the weekends when I’m in the golf course. Or on a walk with the kids all kinds of things. May pick one up just feel the price is a little steep for what it is.

What I like about mine is I don't have to reach in when my hands are filthy and touch my phone to answer it or if I'm near an area where I'm afraid my phone may fall or I'm working in a swimming pool I don't have to worry about having my phone fall in. The magnet is very strong and it puts out a ton of sound.

Work at a water plant. Many rounds across vast distances to make sure equipment is working (on foot). Typically have my phone in my shirt pocket.... but can't when it is raining for fear of phone getting wet. Also can't bring my phone when hanging over large tanks (for fear of losing the phone). This speaker will be great.

This is how much this speaker has impacted my life, quick run thru of my day
    - Wake up, clip the speaker on my shirt, listen tk talk radio while im on the toilet and then getting ready for work
    - I'm upgrading the sound system in my car at the moment and dont have a single speaker, this stays on my shirt and gives me tunes on my way to work
    - I get to work (Government IT tech) and leave it playing my favorite radio station while i have my coffee and get situated
    - literally throw the speaker on whatever it is im working on, if im in a technology locker I just slap it right onto it magnetically, if im pushing a cart of tech it gets dlapped on the cart, sometimes ill leave it clipped on my torso
    - answer and handle my work calls thru the speaker
    - hourly chime on android goes off every hour thru the speaker to help me track my time
    - Finish work and drive home with the speaker still playing
    - Take my dog for a walk, speaker still playing
    - work on my car for a little bit before the end of the night, speaker STILL playing.
I would buy this speaker ahain IMMEDIATELY if I broke it. It plays loud and clear, and the magnetic clip to have it nust hang off your torso or shoulder wile you work a d still be able to maintain your awareness of your surroundings..... AMAZING!!!!

Chargies WRISTI or something is a cheaper alternative which seems to do everything the same but you can also clip it through a tee. It's also waterproof. But only on Amazon in the uk for now. The magnetic feature seems good which the wristie doesn't have. I think these are a great innovation though.

I would like to try one of these as a possible alternative to the Noxgear 39g which is popular with runners and cyclists. I ride a bike, often MANY MILES and if it clips to a shirt or jersey it may be a great way to take phone calls. It is USB-C rechargeable, the traditional Noxgear is Micro-USB . It may lose out on fashion appeal with some cyclists but it may be better for durability. I'm thinking there could be a superb market for sports people, particularly cyclists. It would be a great hands free device for drivers too on 4 wheels where states are outlawing the holding of cell phones while talking {Ohio has a new phones down and screens locked before you rock the road campaign- Warnings now-tickets starting in October} . That is for drivers whose cars, like mine, have no Bluetooth, no Android Auto {or Apple Carplay} or other integrated things to support your phone as 2010s and 2020s cars often do{I drive a '99 and an '05} .
