I found the video fascinating. I’ve recently started doing my own research as I am a 9th generation Tejano with roots in San Juan Bautista.

This chapel will not be destroyed but will be behind the wall and accessible only during the day, while the park is open. I am from Mission, my sister was married in this chapel, and my mother still lives nearby.

I'm also a descendant of Don Diego Montemayor. We're also decendemts of Lorenzo Onate son of the infamous first governor of New Mexico Juan Onate and his wife Isabel Montezuma great great grand daughter of Aztec King Montezuma, you may also be related to Lorenzo Onate he had hundreds of not thousands of descendents in Nuevo Leon and Coahuila/Tejas he settled in the 1500s or early 1600s.

I am a Hispanic our families came in expedition with Juan de Onate from Spain settled in New Mexico when NM was a territory and homestead in NM . what is my identity? Land grant we could never claim as the gringos took it away.

Onate's expedition did not end in failure. While it is true that Onate himself left in 1609 after being banished from New Mexico for his treatment of the natives and his own people; up to 50 soldiers and their families remained. The present-day city of Santa Fe was established by 1610. The descendants of the people that remained make up the majority of the Hispanic population in New Mexico today.

The Balli our the original first settlers recorded, everybody else came after, makes no sense how they try so hard to cover the first settlers.

These are all my ancestors ... your "gringo/anglo" pronunciations offends me. Learn how to correctly pronounce Spanish names of towns, cities and surnames!

You would be mad if someone asked a Mexican to speak English right

Did you not hear her name? Get over yourself. Spaniards are technically gringos aka white. It's an accent. Do you speak all languages perfectly with no accent?
